USER MANUAL VapoMax 36010 Reer

• Read the instruction manual before using the equipment! It contains important instructions on how to start and operate the product.

• Please keep the instruction manual in a safe place for future reference. Ensure the manual is passed on to third parties with the light.

• Use the device exclusively in the home for its intended purpose. This device is not intended for commercial use.

• This equipment is intended only for use indoors. Do not use outdoors.

• This equipment is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised whilst using it or have been shown how to use it correctly by a person responsible for their safety.

• Use the unit only out of the reach of children.

• Repairs may only be made by our Customer Service engineers or authorised dealers. Do not open the equipment or repair it, as proper functioning cannot be guaranteed in such case. Non-compliance voids the warranty. If you have any questions about the use of our equipment, please contact your dealer.

• The power cord of this device must not be replaced. Dispose of the device if the cord is damaged.

• Children must not play with the appliance. The device and its connections cable should be kept away from children under the age of 3.

• Remove all packaging and any surplus components before rst use to prevent your child being injured or choking.

• Before every use, check the equipment for any obvious damage. If you detect any damage, do not use this equip- ment.

• Check - especially when travelling abroad - that the local mains voltage matches the voltage specied on the units and/or mains adapters.

• While the equipment is not in use, always pull out the mains plug so that it cannot be switched on unintentionally.

• Secure the power lead and ensure that it cannot be accidentally pulled causing the unit to fall on the oor. Do not allow the power lead to come into contact with hot surfaces.

• Always use the equipment on a at, heat-resistant surface.

• The cleaning and maintenance of the device must not be done by children, unless they are 8 years or older and are supervised.

• Before rst use, clean the basket and the gripper and run the disinfection process once without any parts for disin- fection in the unit.

• Do not submerge the device, its power cord or plug in water or other liquids. The disinfection process lasts for about 10 minutes. As soon as the procedure starts, the water is heated. After approx. 2 minutes, vapour begins to form, starting the countdown on the digital display (8, 7...). If you have not added enough water, the disinfection procedure will be shorter (please add an amount of water that is as close as possible to 75 ml). The disinfecting unit switches o automatically once the disinfection process is completed. You can use the on/o button to switch VapoMax o, if needed. Please wait for 3 minutes before removing the cover so that the equipment can cool down. If you do not open the lid, the bottles and accessories will remain disinfected for about 3 hours. This is also indicated by the countdown timer (3, 2, 1).

75 ml water GB9 Safety instructions on use

• When placing items inside the unit, ensure that the steam can reach all surfaces and condensate can run o.

• Never start the equipment without water and do not transport it during operation. Never add any liquid other than drinking water to the container.

• Add 75 ml tap water to the equipment. Keep this amount as accurate as possible. If you add less than 75 ml of water, the disinfecting unit does not produce sucient amounts of steam to disinfect all items with certainty. If you use more than 75 ml of water, the process is unnecessarily prolonged.

• Do not start the equipment without having placed the parts basket inside.

• Do not touch the equipment while in operation. The surfaces of the equipment become very hot during operation and may cause burns. CAUTION! Hot surface!

• HeatColour function: the steam outlet becomes bright red while hot steam is emerging.

• Do not remove the cover during disinfection as the equipment contains boiling water. Beware steam escaping from the vents in the cover. Please do not obstruct the opening or place a cloth over the cover.

• Never open the equipment before the process is completed, as the items are then not disinfected.

• Pay attention when opening the disinfecting unit - hot steam escaping may cause burns.

• Bottles and other items are very hot directly after a hot steam disinfection and should only be removed using the bottle gripper that is included.

• Use the disinfected parts immediately after removing them, as otherwise they will have to be disinfected again.

• Some condensate always remains in the equipment. Pour the water out of the unit and dry all parts of the equip- ment. Caution - this remaining liquid may also be hot.

• The disinfecting unit requires about 15 minutes to cool down before it can be started again. Cleaning For reasons of hygiene and in order to keep lime deposits to a minimum, we recommend cleaning the disinfecting unit, bottle basket and cover with a cloth after every use. Always disconnect it from the mains and ensure that the equipment is cold before cleaning it. Do not immerse the unit in water. The bottle grid and small parts basket are dishwasher-safe. Do not use any scouring pads, scouring agents or solvents for cleaning; they might damage the equipment and its surfaces. If the equipment is not cleaned and dried after every use, lime deposits will occur on the heating plate at the bottom of the disinfecting unit after some time. GB10 Descaling Environmental protection The disinfecting unit must be descaled regularly, at least every month (more frequently in areas with very hard wa- ter) in order to guarantee proper functioning of the equipment. A heating plate that appears dierent from the out- side with lime deposits or burnt-in milk residue does not constitute grounds for complaint. The warranty does not cover any damage occurring due to this. The heating plate of your disinfecting unit may be cleaned with traditional descaling products based on citric acid, e.g. using a reer fast bio-decalcier sachet or normal diluted vinegar. Repeat the process in case of stubborn lime deposits. Please do not use chemical additives during operation or cleaning. At the end of its life, this product must not be disposed of as normal domestic waste, but should be recycled at a collection point for electrical appliances. Please see the relevant symbol on the product, in the user manual and packaging. An important contribution to the protection of the environment can be made by reusing the unit, recycling its components or otherwise reusing old appliances. Please contact your local council to nd out more about an appropriate disposal centre. Troubleshooting Why does the disinfection process take so little time? You may have added insucient water to the equipment. The items may therefore not be disinfected with certainty. Why does the disinfection process take so long? You may have overlled the equipment with water, or the heating plate is calcied. Why does steam escape from under the cover? Check whether the cover is placed properly on the equipment. The disinfecting unit has stains when the disinfection process is completed. Lime deposits have developed. Descale the disinfecting unit. Warranty Please retain your receipt, the user manual and part number. Warranty claims or claims from promises of guarantee must be processed by the dealer.
