2 Safety instructions

Please read these instructions thoroughly before you use the device and keep them for future reference.

• Only for indoor use.
• Do not use the product in a damp environment or near water.
• Do not expose the product to extremely high or low temperatures, strong light sources or direct sunlight.
• This product is not a toy. Keep out of reach of children.
• Avoid using headphones/speakers with the volume turned up for an extended period of time. Doing so may damage your hearing. It is advisable to keep the volume at a moderate level at all times.
• Disconnect the AC/DC power adapter from the mains when this device is not in use for prolonged time.
• Never connect an adapter or power cord when it is damaged. In that case, contact your supplier.
• Never open the product: the device may contain parts with deadly voltage.
• Repairs or service should only be performed by qualified personnel.
• Improper use, self-installed modifications or repairs will void any and all warranties.
• Marmitek does not accept any product responsibility for incorrect use of the product or use other than for which the product is intended.

3 Your product

3.1 Introduction

Congratulations with your purchase of the Marmitek Audio Anywhere 625. The Audio Anywhere 625 comprises a transmitter and a receiver. The signal is transmitted on 2.4 GHz and can thus pass through walls and ceilings. This transmitter/receiver allows (stereo) audio signals to be transmitted wirelessly.

You can play music from a sound source, via the

Audio Anywhere 625, on your audio installation without having to connect the source with cables. This source could be a PC or laptop or even a TV.

You can then control your music via the sound source without having to walk over to the sound system.

The Audio Anywhere 625 has a range of about 10 metres, allowing you to control your music in the same or in an adjoining room.

4 Getting started

4.1 Installing the transmitter

The transmitter can be connected to any audio source, including a TV, satellite receiver, MP3 player, stereo equipment, etc.

1. Connect the mini jack plug to the headphone connection point on a device such as your TV, smartphone or radio/CD player. Use the converter cable supplied to connect the Audio Anywhere 625 transmitter to the AUX OUT coaxial (Cinch/RCA) connection on your sound system.
2. Connect the adapter to the mini USB port and insert the adapter into the electrical socket. The red LED will now light up.
3. The Audio Anywhere 625 transmitter will now automatically switch on and the green LED will begin to flash.
4. Now the sound of your audio source will be reproduced.

4.2 Installing the receiver

1. Connect the mini jack-plug to the AUX IN on a docking speaker or radio/CD player, for example.
   Use the converter cable supplied to connect the Audio Anywhere 625 receiver to the AUX IN coaxial (Cinch/RCA) connection on your sound system.
2. Connect the adapter to the mini USB port and insert the adapter into the electrical socket. The red LED will now light up.
3. The Audio Anywhere 625 receiver will now automatically switch on and the green LED will begin to flash.

The transmitter and receiver will now attempt to connect with one another and you will hear the audio source on the device connected to the receiver. The green LED will stop flashing and then stay illuminated.

With an extra receiver you can receive the signal of the sender at more places in your house.

5 Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

I can't connect my Audio Anywhere 625.

Check the following:

1. Ensure that the power adapter is connected and the power LED (5) is on (red).
2. Ensure that the distance between the transmitter and receiver is not greater than 10 metres and that there are no large obstacles in the way.
3. Check that the connection LED (4) is on (not blinking). If it is not on, press the ON/OFF switch (3).

No sound comes out of the audio installation.

• Ensure that the audio cable is correctly connected (AUX IN), that the correct input has been selected on your audio installation and that your audio system's volume is set to the desired level.
• Check that neither the transmitter nor receiver is muted.

I have connected the sound from the TV wirelessly with my audio installation but the sound is not synchronised with the picture.

Your TV needs more time to construct the picture than it does to play the sound.

The sound from your TV is therefore played slightly later so that both picture and sound are synchronised.

For the best result, connect the Audio Anywhere transmitter to the audio output on your TV and not to the audio output on your set-top box or satellite receiver.

If you connect the transmitter to the headphone output, the TV's speakers will be disconnected and you can continue to use the TV remote control to regulate volume via the Audio Anywhere 625.

Can I connect my speakers directly to the receiver?

In order to hear sound or music, connect the receiver to an amplifier with separate (built-in) speakers or so-called active speakers (with built-in amplifier). You cannot connect passive speakers directly to the receiver.

Can I connect the USB cable from my transmitter/receiver to a USB connection on my amplifier or TV, for example?

Yes you can. But the connection is only used for powering your Audio Anywhere 625. The transmitter/receiver then switches on and off automatically in line with the amplifier or TV (auto power on).
