Congratulations! With this, you have chosen a high-quality product. The operating instructions are an integral part of this prod- uct. They contain important information for safety, use and disposal. Familiarise yourself with all of the oper- ating and safety information before using the product. Only use the product as described and for the specific areas of application. There is a risk of injury! - Children from the age of 8, as well as peo- ple with impaired physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with a lack of experience and knowledge, must be supervised when using the product and/or be instructed regarding the safe use of the product and understand the resulting dangers. - Children are not allowed to play with the product. - Maintenance and/or cleaning of the product is not allowed to be performed by children without supervi- sion. Observe national regulations! - Observe the applicable national requirements and regulations for the use and disposal of the product. Pay attention to ambient conditions! - The product is not allowed to be used in temperatures above 75 °C and/or below -10 °C.

WARNING! Risk of injury! A defective product is not allowed to be used! There is a risk of injury! - Do not use the product in the case of malfunctions, damage or defects. If you determine a defect on the product, remove the batteries from the device and have the product inspected and repaired, if neces- sary, before putting it into operation again. - The LEDs are not replaceable. If the LEDs are defec- tive, the product must be disposed of. - Significant danger can occur for the user in the case of improper repairs.

There is a risk of injury from electric shock! - The casing must not be opened and the product must not be manipulated/modified under any circumstanc- es. Manipulations/modifications can cause danger to life from electric shock. Manipulations/modifications are prohibited for approval reasons (CE). Check voltages! - Make sure that the existing mains voltage corre- sponds to the specification on the rating place. Failure to comply can lead to excessive heat development. - The product must not be covered up during use. - Never touch the power plug with wet hands, if it is in operation. - The product may not be connected to the mains sup- ply if it is still in its packaging.

5.1 Safety instructions regarding
WARNING! Fatal danger! Batteries must not be swallowed! There is a risk of fatal injuries! - Batteries may be fatal if swallowed, so this ar- ticle and ist batteries must be stored out of the reach
of small children. - If a battery has been swallowed, please consult a doctor without delay! - Keep the batteries out of the reach of children.
WARNING! Fire and explosion hazard! - Never recharge non-rechargeable bat- teries, do not short-circuit and/or open them. This may result in overheating, risk of fire or bursting. - Keep the product away from heat sources and direct sunlight, the batteries may explode if overheated. There is a risk of injury.
WARNING! Risk of injury! Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands! There is a risk of injury! - Leaked or damaged batteries may cause chemical burns if they come into contact with skin. Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands; therefore ensure that you wear appropriate protective gloves in this case! - Only use type CR2025-Batteries from the same man- ufacturer. - Insert the batteries into the designated battery com- partment with the correct polarity. - Do not use combinations of old and new batteries or rechargeable batteries. - Store batteries in a dry and cool, not damp, place. - Never throw batteries into fire. - Do not short-circuit batteries. - Disposable batteries also lose part of their energy during storage. - Remove the batteries if the device is not in use. - Discharged batteries must be immediately removed in order to avoid battery leakage and thus damage to the device. - Empty batteries or used rechargeable batters must be disposed of properly. - Store disposable batteries separately from dis- charged batteries, in order to avoid mix-ups.
Before the start-up NOTE! First, remove all packaging materials from the product.
WARNING! Injury risk! The power cable must not be used in a rolled-up state. Overheating risk! Lay out the power cable evenly. Infrared remote control start-up The battery of the infrared remote control
is already inserted in a delivered state. Prior to initial start-up, pull out the safety strip as shown Fig. B. The infrared remote control
is now ready to operate. Product positioning Place the product on an appropriate surface. Spread out the product according to your preferences. Drape the product into a glass container You can drape the product into a glass container to be used as a luminous object. Unwind the product and lay it loosely into a large glass container. You can shape the LED cord evenly by hand. Attaching the product to a Fir-tree Wrap the LED cord around the desired tree. Start at the bottom. Place the LED cord on the branches. If you can- not walk around the tree, lay the cord around the tree in serpentines. NOTE! - Use a stepladder when hanging the product onto a tree. Ensure that the ladder is set up stable. Don’t lean too far beyond the ladder. If the ladder starts to tilt, ask a helper to hold and stabilize the ladder. - Make sure that the tree has a secure footing.
WARNING! Risk of injury! There is a risk of injury from electric shock! - Do not plug the power plug into a wall outlet
until the product has been completely hung, laid out or draped on a tree. Insert plug into the output socket Insert the plug
of the product with the correct polarity into the outlet socket on the mains power adapter
refer to Fig. C. NOTE! For this, please pay attention to the recess and polarity in the outlet socket of the mains power adapter. Screw the union nut onto the plug, see Fig. C. 6.1. Operation Mains power adapter Insert the mains power adapter
into an easily acces- sible wall outlet. The product will illuminate in the last mode that was set. To switch the product off, remove the mains power adapter
from the wall outlet. Infrared remote control NOTE! The mains power adapter
is fitted with an infrared diode. Therefore, aim towards the mains power adapter
to use the infrared remote control
To switch the product on, press the ON/OFF button (a), on the infrared remote control
6.2. Modes Mode selection on the mains power adapter (Fig. D) If the product is switched on, you can use the button (1) on the mains power adapter
to scroll through the following modes by consecutively pressing 1 x for each:

to scroll forward and back through the following modes:
you can increase/reduce the brightness of the LEDs in 4 stages. Timer function The product is fitted with a timer function. Activating/deactivating the timer function via the mains power adapter If the product is switched on, you can use the button (1) on the mains power adapter
by keeping the button pressed for a longer time (approx. 3 seconds) to acti- vate the timer, and deactivate it again through a longer actuation (approx. 3 seconds). Activate/deactivate timer function via infra- red operation (Fig. F) If you press the TIMER button (f) 1x on the infrared re- mote control,
the timer function will switch on. Press the button again to switch off the timer. If the timer function is switched on, the product will switch off automatically after 6 hours. After another 18 hours, the product will switch back on automatically. If the product is not switched of manually, this daily cycle will repeat itself.
NOTE! If the timer is active, a green LED will illuminate on the adapter, see Fig. A (2). Memory function The product has a memory function When it is switched off, the last settings used remain stored and are imme- diately available again the next time it is switched on.
7. Cleaning and care instructions
WARNING! Risk of injury! Before cleaning, you must remove the batteries from the battery compart- ment. The power plug must be discon- nected before cleaning. There is a risk of electric shock! - only clean with a dry cloth - do not use any strong detergents and/or chemicals - do not immerse in water - store in a cool, dry place and protected from UV light
8. Conformity declaration
This device complies with the fundamental re- quirements and other relevant regulations of the European Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU and the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. The complete original conformity decla- ration is available from the importer.
Disposal of the packaging The packaging and operating instructions are made of 100 % environmentally friendly materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling centres. Disposal of the product The product may not be disposed of with normal household waste. Please find out about disposal options for the product from your local authority or town administration. Disposal of the battery / rechargeable bat- terie - Defective or used rechargeable batteries have to be recycled in accordance with Directive GB/IE GB/IE 2006/66/EC and its amendments. - Batteries and disposable batteries are not permitted to be disposed of with household waste. They contain harmful heavy metals. Marking: Pb (= lead), Hg (= mercury), Cd (= cadmium). You are legally obligated to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. After use, you can either return batteries to our point of sale or in the direct vicinity (e.g. with a retailer or in municipal collection centres) free of charge. Bat- teries and rechargeable batteries are marked with a crossed-out waste bin.
Warranty from TRADIX GmbH & Co. KG Dear customer, the warranty on this product is 3 years from the purchase date. In the event of defects in this product, you are entitled to exercise your statutory rights against the seller of the product. These statutory rights are not limited by our warranty described in the follow- ing.
11. Warranty conditions
The warranty begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original receipt. This document is required as verification of the purchase. If a material or manufacturing defect arises within three years from the purchase date of this product, the product will be repaired or replaced, as per our choice, at no charge to you. This warranty service requires the submis- sion of the purchase receipt and the defective product within the three-year period and a short written descrip- tion of the defect and when it arose. If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired or a new product will be returned to you. The warranty period does not restart with the repair or replacement of the product. Guarantee period and statutory claims for defects The guarantee period will not be extended by the war- ranty. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects which may possibly already ex- ist upon purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. After the guarantee period has expired, re- quired repairs shall be subject to a charge. Scope of guarantee The device has been carefully produced under strict32
quality guidelines and conscientiously inspected prior to delivery. The guarantee service applies to material or manufacturing faults. This guarantee does not extend to product parts, which are exposed to normal wear and tear and can therefore be regarded as wearing parts or to damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, battery packs or which are made of glass. This guarantee shall lapse, if the product is damages, not used properly or maintained properly. For proper use of the product, all of the instructions in the operating instructions must be precisely complied with. Purposes and actions, which are dissuaded from or warned about in the operating instructions must be avoided. The product is only intended for private and not com- mercial use. In the case of abusive and improper han- dling, use of force and with interventions, which are not performed by our authorised service branch, the guar- antee shall lapse.
