How to charge the JAM Vintage speaker?

Open the cover of the USB charging port on the left side, plug the included micro-USB cable into the port labeled 'Charge', then plug the other end into a computer or USB power adapter (not included). The solid red light indicates charging, it turns off when fully charged. Allow approximately 3 hours for a full charge.

How to pair my phone with the speaker?

Turn on the speaker by holding the Power button for 4 seconds. The light flashes red and blue. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and select 'JAM Vintage' from the list. A tone sounds and the light becomes solid blue then flashes slowly. Pairing is successful.

What to do if the speaker does not pair automatically?

If the speaker has been paired before but does not connect, put it in pairing mode by pressing the Play/Pause and Next track (►) buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. The light will flash red and blue to confirm the mode.

How to use two JAM Vintage speakers in stereo mode?

Turn on the first speaker and pair it with your device. Turn on the second speaker (without pairing it). On the first speaker, press the Previous (◀) and Next (►) buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds. You will hear 'Ready to pair', then 'left channel' and 'right channel' once connected. Music will play in stereo.

How to answer a call while listening to music?

During an incoming call, briefly press the Play/Pause button to answer. To hang up, briefly press again. To transfer the call to your phone, hold the Play/Pause button for 2 seconds.

What do the different LED lights mean?

Solid red: charging. Red flashing every 5 seconds: low battery. Red and blue flashing: pairing mode. Slow blue flashing: connected to a device. Off: charging complete or speaker off.

How to reset the speaker?

There is no specific hardware reset. To unpair a device, press the Play/Pause button for 3 seconds. A tone sounds and the light flashes red and blue, ready for a new pairing.

What is the battery life?

The battery life is approximately 16 hours after a full 3-hour charge. This may vary depending on the listening volume.

Can I use the speaker while charging?

Yes, you can use the speaker while charging. The red light stays on until charging is complete.

How to clean the speaker?

Use a soft dry cloth to wipe the surface. Do not use chemical or abrasive products. Ensure the ports are dry before charging or connecting a cable.

SET UP

The "Vintage" speaker is powered by a rechargeable battery. The speaker comes precharged; however, for optimal playtime, make sure to charge before first use.

A – To charge the speaker, open the cover of the USB charging port located on the left side. Take the included charging cable and connect the end with the micro USB into the port on the speaker labeled "Charge".

B – Connect the larger USB plug into your computer or a powered USB AC adapter. An adapter is not included in the box, but you can use the one for your cell phone or pick one up the next time you're at the store.

C – While charging, the LED light at the top of the speaker will stay solid red. Charge for about 3 hours to get up to 16 hours of playtime. Once fully charged, the LED will turn off.

USE

A - TURN ON YOUR SPEAKER

Press and hold the power button (which is also the volume dial) for 4 seconds to turn on your speaker.

B - CONNECTING TO A DEVICE

Once turned on, the speaker will immediately search for a device to pair to. If a device has not been previously paired, the LED light on the top of the speaker will flash red and blue alternatively. Enable Bluetooth® on your device. From the Bluetooth® menu, select "JAM Vintage". When the device and JAM Vintage are connected, you will hear a tone and the LED light will turn solid blue momentarily then move to a slow flashing blue.

You may also connect your device to the "Vintage" speaker using an aux cable, which is not included. When plugged in, the LED light at the top of the speaker will turn solid red.

NOTE: Once paired, the speaker will remember the device every time it is turned on. To disconnect the speaker from the device, press and hold the "play/pause" button for 3 seconds. You will hear a tone and the LED light at the top of the speaker will flash red and blue. The "Vintage" is now ready to pair to a new device.

C-BUTTON FUNCTION

Quickly press the "play/pause" button once to play your music.

To increase the volume, turn the volume dial clockwise; to lower the volume, turn the volume dial counterclockwise.

To skip forward a track, quickly press the ▶ button once; to skip back a track, quickly press the ◀ once.

When the "Vintage" speaker is powered on, a ring of light around the volume dial is illuminated. To turn off this feature, press the power button once. To turn the light on again, press the power button once more.

D - CALL HANDLING

While rocking out to your music, if a call comes in, quickly press the "play/pause" button once to pick it up; quickly press again when you're done to hang up.

While on a call, if you want to make it private, press and hold the "play/pause" button for 2 seconds to move the call from your speaker to your phone.

If a call comes in and you don't want to pick it up, press and hold the "play/pause" button for 2 seconds to send the call to voicemail.

PAIR 2 VINTAGE SPEAKERS

1. Turn on speaker 1 (press and hold the volume dial for 4 seconds to turn on).

2. Pair your device to the speaker by following the CONNECTING TO A DEVICE instructions.

3. Turn on speaker 2 (press and hold the volume dial for 4 seconds). Do not pair speaker 2 to your device.

4. On speaker 1, press and hold the backward ◀ and forward ▶ button at the same time for 2 seconds. You will hear "ready to pair" while the speakers are connecting to each other. This will take a few seconds.

5. Once the speakers are paired successfully together, you will hear "left channel" and "right channel" indicating that they are in stereo mode.

6. Press the "play/pause" button on either speaker to listen to music. Press and hold the backward ◀ and forward ▶ button at the same time for 2 seconds to toggle between using two speakers and using one speaker.

7. Once paired, your speakers will recognize each other every time both are turned on. To disconnect pair 2 mode, press and hold the backward ◀ and forward ▶ button at the same time for 2 seconds. This will enter into pairing mode again.

WARRANTY - AUSTRALIA

(1-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY)

We or Us means HoMedics Australia Pty Ltd ACN 31 103 985 717 and our contact details are set out at the end of this warranty; You means the purchaser or the original end-user of the Goods. You may be a domestic user or a professional user; Supplier means the authorized distributor or retailer of the Goods that sold you the Goods in Australia and New Zealand; and Goods means the product or equipment which was accompanied by this warranty and purchased in Australia and New Zealand.

Our Goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled, subject to the provisions of the Australian Consumer Law, to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. The Warranty

JAM sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship under normal use and service. In the unlikely event that your JAM product proves to be faulty within 1 year from the date of purchase due to workmanship or materials only, we will replace it at our own expense, subject to the terms and conditions of this guarantee. The warranty period is limited to 3 months from the date of purchase for products used commercially/professionally.

Terms and Conditions:

In addition to the rights and remedies that you have under the Australian Consumer Law, Consumer Guarantees Act of New Zealand or any other applicable law and without excluding such rights and remedies warranty against defects:

1. The Goods are designed to withstand the rigors of normal household use and are manufactured to the highest standards using the highest quality components. Whilst unlikely, if, during the first 12 months (3 months commercial use) from their date of purchase from the Supplier (Warranty Period), the Goods prove defective by reason of improper workmanship or materials and none of your statutory rights or remedies apply, we will replace the Goods, subject to the terms and conditions of this warranty.

2. We do not have to replace the Goods under this Additional Warranty if the Goods have been damaged due to misuse or

abuse, accident, the attachment of any unauthorised accessory, alteration to the product, improper installation, unauthorised repairs or modifications, improper use of electrical/power supply, loss of power, malfunction, or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer's recommended maintenance, transportation damage, theft, neglect, vandalism, environmental conditions, or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of JAM.

1. This Warranty does not extend to the purchase of used, repaired, or secondhand products, or to products not imported or supplied by HoMedics Australia Pty Ltd, including but not limited to those sold on offshore internet auction sites.
2. This Warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Suppliers.
3. Even when we do not have to replace the Goods, we may decide to do so anyway. In some cases, we may decide to substitute the Goods with a similar alternative product of our choosing. All such decisions are at our absolute discretion.
4. All such replaced or substituted Goods continue to receive the benefit of this Additional Warranty for the time remaining on the original Warranty Period (or 3 months, whichever is the longest).
5. This Additional Warranty does not cover items damaged by normal wear and tear, including but not limited to chips, scratches, abrasions, discoloration, and other minor defects, where the damage has negligible effect on the operation or performance of the Goods.
6. This Additional Warranty is limited to replacement or substitution only. As far as the law permits, we will not be liable for any loss or damage caused to property or persons arising from any cause whatsoever, and shall have no liability for any incidental, consequential, or special damages.
7. This warranty is only valid and enforceable in Australia and New Zealand.

Making a Claim:

In order to claim under this Warranty, you must return the Goods to the Supplier (place of purchase) for replacement. If this is not possible, please contact our Consumer Relations department by email ([e-mail]) or at the address below.

- All returned Goods must be accompanied by satisfactory proof of purchase that clearly indicates the name and address of the Supplier, the date and place of purchase, and identifies the product. It is best to provide an original, legible, and unmodified receipt or sales invoice.
