This equipment is intended to assist bread products. It is intended for use in commercial food service operations only. It is not intended for household, industrial or laboratory use. The JT1H modeltoasters are not recommended for toasting standardsizebread.

Donotplatzehoasteradjacenttoaheatproducingappliance.

1.Cleanthetoaster.See"DailyCleaning"onpage2.
2. Placethefeedrampintheupposition.Ittisshippedfoldeddownn thecrumbtray.

Preheat

1.Plugthetoasterintoagroundedelectricaloutletthatmatchestheratingonthenameplatefoundonthebackofthetoaster.

NOTICE:Usingavoltageotherthannameplateratedvoltage willcausedamageltotheunit.Incorrectvoltage, modificationtothepowercordorelectricalcomponents candamageunitandwillvoidthewararranty.

2.Rotatethepowerknobtothefullpowerposition(1).
3.Settheconveyorspeedcontrolknobto7.
4.Wait5minutesforthetoastertopreheat.

Test

1. Adjust the settings for the breadtobetoasted. Test the settings by placing asampleofthebreaditemstobetastedontothefeed ramp.
   2.Evaluatetheresults.

Tips

BreadProductSuggestions
Bagels, wheatyebreader productswithhighmoisture content.	Useaslowerconveyorspeed.

Toast

1. Adjust the conveyorspeedes needed.

2. Toastlight: Rotatethespeedcontrolknobtoalowernumber toreducethespeedanddarkenthetoast.

3. Toastoodark: Rotatethespeedcontrolknobtoahighernumber toincreaseasthespeedcontrolandlightenthetoast.

IfBreadBecomesStuck

1.RotatethepowerknobtotheOFFposition(O)andunplugthet oaster.

NOTICE: Donotuseabrasivematerials, scratchingcleansorsourgingpadstocleantheexteriorofthecquipment. Thesecandamagethefinish.

NOTICE: Heating elements don't need to be cleaned. Crumbs and food debris will burn off. Overtimethe heating elements may develop a chalky appearance, but this will not impact performance.

DailyCleaning

1. Beforeturningoffthequipmentandwiththeconveyorrotating, watchtheconveyorbelfofooddebris.
2. Whenthefooddebrisreachesthefrontoftheconveyor,rotatethe powerknobtotheOFFposition.
   3.Unplugtheequipment.
3. Let the equipment cool completely.
4. Whentheequipmentiscool,useabrushorscrubpadtotremovethe fooddebris.
5. Tocleantheexterior,useasoftclothdippedinhotsoapywaterto wipetheexteriorandfanairintakeunderthequipment.lfneeded, wipethefanintakeareawithdegreasertopreventionlongtermbuild up.
6. Empty and clean the crumb tray(s).

TROUBLESHOOTING

SERVICEANDREPAIR

Whenunderwarranty,repairisavailableforththisproductviacarry-inservice.Tobegintheprocess:

1. Contact Vollrath Technical Services at 1-800-309-2250. Please be ready with the item number, model number and serial number. You can find this information on the nameplate located on the side or back of the equipment. Also please provide a proof of purchase indicating the date the equipment was purchased.
2. Atechnical services representative will help you troubleshoot the problem over the phone.
3. If the representative determines the issue require professional service, he or she will help you locate an authorized service center.
4. Contact the authorized service center and transport the equipment to the authorized service center. Vollrath will cover the cost to repair and/or replace defective parts within the equipment warranty period. The cost of transporting the equipment to and from the service center is not covered by the warranty.

WARRANTYSTATEMENTFORTHEVOLLRATHCO.L.L.C.

The Vollrath Company LLC warrants the products it manufactures or distributes against defects in materials and workmanship as specifically described in our full warranty statement. In all cases, the warranty runs from the date of the end user's original purchase date found on the receipt. Any damages from improper use, abuse, modification or damage resulting from improper packaging during return shipment for warranty repair will not be covered under warranty.

The warranty does not apply to products purchased for personal, family or household use, and The Vollrath Company LLC does not offer a written warrantytopurchasersforsuchuses.

Heater Tubes: The warranty period is 1 year, including labor when performed at an authorized service center. Heater tube glass damage is not covered by this warranty. Customer is responsible for the cost of transporting the product to the authorized service center.
