How to clean the toaster after each use?

After turning off and unplugging the cooled appliance, use a brush to remove food particles from the belt. Clean the exterior with a soft cloth dampened with soapy water. Remove and empty the crumb tray. Never spray water or cleaner.

What to do if the toaster does not heat?

Check that the appliance is plugged in and the on/off switch is on full power. Check the circuit breaker. If the reset button has tripped, wait 30 minutes, remove any obstruction and press the button. If the problem persists, contact Vollrath technical support.

How to adjust the conveyor speed?

Use the speed adjustment knob (B) located on the control panel. The positions range from 1 (slow) to 7 (fast). A slower speed gives a darker toast.

Can I toast sandwiches?

Yes, the appliance can be converted to a sandwich toaster. To do this, lift the unloading tray, tilt it outward, and lower it to a horizontal position. Use a slower conveyor speed and lower the bottom thermostat.

How to install the catch plate?

Place the toaster on its side, bottom facing you. Install the plate by placing its back edge on the lip at the back of the toaster. Align the plate's hole with the screw and tighten.

What to do in case of bread jam?

Set the power switch to Off (0) and unplug the appliance. Let cool completely, then use tongs to remove stuck bread. Be careful not to hit the glass heating elements.

How to convert the toaster to make sandwiches?

Position the appliance to access the back panel. Lift the unloading tray vertically, then tilt it outward. Pinch the tabs under the metal pins and let the tray drop to a horizontal position.

What is the warranty of this appliance?

The warranty covers parts for 2 years and labor for 1 year from the date of purchase. Heating tubes are warranted for 1 year (glass damage not covered). Transport costs to an authorized center are the customer's responsibility.

How to adjust the heat screen?

Once the appliance is cool, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw on the heat screen. Grasp the screen and raise or lower it to adjust the opening so that thicker products can pass, then retighten the screw.

Why does the fan continue to run after shutdown?

This is normal operation. The fan runs to cool the toaster after use. It stops automatically once the appliance is cool.

AdjusttheHeatShield

1. Whentheequipmentiscooltothetouch, useascrewdriverto loosenthescrewontheheatshield.
2. Grasptheshieldandpullitupordowntoadjusttheopeningsothe tallestproductscanpassthrough.Re-tightenthescrew.

Preheat

1. Plugthetoasterintoagroundedelectricaloutletthatmatchesthe ratingonthenameplatefoundonthesideofthetoaster. NOTICE: Usingavoltageotherthanthenameplateratedvoltage willcausedamagetotheunit.Incorrectvoltage, modificationtothepowercordorelectricalcomponents candamageunitandwillvoidthewarranty.

2. Rotatethepowerknob(s) tothefullpowerposition(l).
