CLEARANCEANDENVIRONMENTREQUIREMENTS
Donotplaceonsurfacesornearwalls, partitionsorkitchenfurniture unlesstheyaremadeofnon-combustiblematerialorcladwithnoncombustibleheat-insulatingmaterial.Toastersmustnotbeusednear orbelowcurtainsandothercombustiblematerials.
Donot placethetoasteradjacenttoaheatproducingappliance.
SETUP
1.Placethetoasteronahard,flat,stablesurface.
2. Turnthetoasteronit'ssidewiththebottomfacingyou.
3.Installthefeet.
NOTICE:Feetmustbeinstalled. Failuretoinstallthefeetwill restrictairflowandcausethetoastertooverheat.
4.Installthecollectionpanbyplacingthebackedgeofthepanonthe lipatthebackofthetoaster.Lineuptheholeinthepanwith the screw.Tightentheshcrewtosecurethecollectionpan.

AdjusttheHeatShield(ModelsJT2HandJT3H)
Excessspaceabovetheproductwillcreateheatlossandmayreduce performance.
- Whentheequipmentiscooltotheotouch,useascrewdriverto loosenthescrewontheheatshield.
2.Grasptheshieldandpullitupordowntoadjusttheopeningsoth tallestproductscanpassthrough.Re-tightenthescrew.
Preheat
Plugthetoasterintoagroundedelectricaloutletthatmatchstherating onthenameplatefoundonthesideofthetoaster.
NOTICE:Usingavoltageotherthanenameplateratedvoltagewill causedamage totheunit. Incorrect voltage, modification tothepowercordorelectricalcomponentscandamage unitandwillvoidthewararranty.
1.Rotatethepowerknobtothefullpowerposition(1).
2.Settheconveyorspeedcontrolknobto7.
3.Rotatethetopandbottomheatcontrolknobstohigh.
4.Wait5minutesforthetoastertopreheat.

- Adjust the settings for the product to beasted.

- Adjust the top and bottom heat control settings and conveyor as needed for eventoasting. Allow time for the toasteroadjusttonew heat settings before replacing breadersandwiches on the conveyor.
2.Forbestperformedonotoverloadthetoaster.Waitafew secondsbeforeloadingasecondrowofbreadersandwichesinto thetoaster.
IfanItemBecomesStuck
1.RotatethepowerknobtotheOFFposition(O)andunplug the equipment.
2.Lettheequipmentcoolcompletely.Usetongstoremotetheitem. Takecaretonotbumptheheatingelementsaboveandbelow the conveyor.
CLEANING

NOTICE: Heating elements don't need to be cleaned. Crumbs and food debris will burn off. Overtimethe heating elements may develop a chalky appearance, but this will not impact performance.
DailyCleaning
- Beforeturningoffthequipmentandwiththeconveyorrotating, watchtheconveyorbeltforfooddebris.
- Whenthefooddebrisreachesthefrontoftheconveyor,rotatethe powerknobtotheOFFposition.
3.Waitforthefantostoprunning.Unplugtheequipment.
4.Lettheequipmentcoolcompletely. - Whentheequipmentiscool,useabrushorscrubpadtotremovethe fooddebris.
- Tocleantheexterior,useasoftclothdippedinhotsoapywaterto wipetheexteriorandfanairintakeunderthequipment.lfneeded, wipethefanintakeareawithdegreasertopreventionlongtermbuildup.
- Empty and clean the crumb tray(s).

SERVICEANDREPAIR
Whenunderwarranty,repairisavailableforthioproduct.Tobegintheprocess:
- Contact Vollrath Technical Services at 1-800-309-2250. Please be ready with the item number, model number and serial number. You can find this information on the nameplate located on the side or back of the equipment. Also please provide a proof of purchase indicating the date the equipment was purchased.
- Atechnicalservicesrepresentativewillhelpyoutroubleshoottheproblemoverthephone.
- If the representative determines the issue requires professional service, he or she will help you locate an authorized service center.
- Contact the authorized service center to make arrangements for the repair. Vollrath will cover the cost to repair and/or replace defective parts within the equipment warranty period.

The Volrath Company LLC warrants the products it manufactures or distributes against defects in materials and workmanship as specifically described in our full warranty statement. In all cases, the warranty runs from the date of the end user's original purchase date found on the receipt. Any damages from improper use, abuse, modification or damage resulting from improper packaging during return shipment for warranty repair will not be covered under warranty.
The warranty does not apply to products purchased for personal, family or household use, and The Vollrath Company LLC does not offer a written warranty to purchaseersforsuchuses.
