Frequently Asked Questions - Silverhammer 4 Auna

How to adjust the volume of the amplifier?
Use the volume control (Gain) located on the device. Turn the slider towards MAX if the volume is too low. Be careful not to saturate the signal.
How to adjust the Bass Boost?
The Bass Boost adjustment amplifies frequencies around 50 Hz up to 12 dB. Turn the corresponding potentiometer to increase or decrease the effect.
How to adjust the Treble Boost?
The Treble Boost adjustment amplifies frequencies around 10 kHz up to 12 dB. Adjust it according to your sound preferences.
What is the function of the frequency filter?
The frequency regulator (50-250 Hz) allows you to set the cutoff frequency of the high-pass or low-pass filter, depending on the adjustment. This optimizes the distribution of frequencies between speakers and the subwoofer.
How to replace the fuse?
Cut the power, remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type (7.5 A). Never use a fuse of higher value. If the fuse blows again, consult a professional.
What to do if the protection indicator lights up?
The red indicator indicates overheating, overvoltage, or short circuit. Turn off the device, let it cool down, check connections and speaker load. If the problem persists, contact the dealer.
How to wire the amplifier?
Connect +12 V to the battery (after all other connections), ground (GND) to metal body, and REMOTE to the remote output of the car radio. Use cables of diameter AWG-10 or 5 mm.
What speaker impedance should I use?
The recommended impedance is 2 to 16 ohms in stereo. Do not connect active speakers to the amplifier.
Where to install the amplifier in the car?
Mount the amplifier in the trunk or under a seat, ensuring the cooling fins are not obstructed. Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, heat, moisture, and dust.
How to clean the amplifier?
Use a dry microfiber cloth. Never use detergents or abrasive products. Avoid any contact with moisture.
