Safety instructions
- Only use the device outdoors, in a well-ventilated area; the exhaust gases are toxic!
- Fuel is extremely flammable. Always turn the engine off before topping up the fuel! Only use alkylate gasoline for two-stroke engines or petrol oil lubrication: 50 parts unleaded petrol to 1 part oil. Keep petrol, paraffin, matches and other flammable materials/substances away from the device!
- Do not smoke when topping up the fuel!
- Try to avoid spillages when topping up the fuel! Spilt fuel must be cleaned up immediately with a clean cloth.
-
This generator is not waterproof. To prevent short-circuits or electric shocks, do not use in wet conditions (rain/snow/mist).
-
Do not touch the generator with wet hands and prevent the device getting wet.
- Keep the generator at least one meter from explosive and flammable substances and objects.
- The generator must be earthed at all times; to this end, attach a conductive wire between the earthing point on the generator and an approved earthing pin.
- Never connect the generator to the mains network or to another generator.
- Never touch the outlet during or shortly after the generator has been in use. It will get extremely hot!
- Do not connect any devices before the generator has been switched on.
- Ensure that anyone who uses the generator knows how it works and how to stop it quickly.
- During use wear protective shoes and clothing.
- Ensure that there is careful supervision when this device is used in the presence of children, incapable individuals or pets. The device is not suitable for use by persons (including children) with a physical, sensual or mental limitation or a lack of experience and knowledge, irrespective of whether they are being supervised or have been issued with instructions in relation to the use of the device by a person who is responsible for their safety. Always ensure that children cannot play with the device.
- Failing to adhere to the safety instructions could lead to serious damage or injury. The manufacturer, importer and supplier will not accept any liability in this context.
Add fuel
Note: Always fill the fuel tank with the appliance switched off and cooled down.
Fuel tank capacity 4.2 liters
- Open the top tank cap and remove the measuring cup.
- Fill the fuel tank up to the top of the filter that is located in the filler opening, at most.
- Only use alkylate gasoline for two-stroke engines petrol oil lubrication 50:1
You can make this up yourself in a separate jerry can by mixing 50 parts unleaded petrol with 1 part oil; shake before use!
Use the tank cap to measure the oil:

| Depress the choke handle to the ‘choke’ setting. | ![]() |
| Press the ON/OFF switch to I. | ![]() |
| Pull the starter rope out until you feel resistance. Then pull the cord forcefully all the way out, but not too far. Repeat this process until the engine starts. | ![]() |
Slowly and gradually restore the choke to is original setting; the engine must continue to run smoothly.

natural_image
Diagram of a mechanical component with an arrow indicating direction, no text or symbols presentAfter starting the engine, run without drawing any power for around 3 minutes.
Then connect the devices; if multiple devices are to be connected, do so one by one, connecting the most demanding first. Most devices require more power when starting than during operation (peak flow); be careful that you do not exceed the maximum output of the generator! To stop the generator, first switch off all of the connected devices and disconnect them. Then press the start button into the 'stop' setting; the engine will stop. Finally, shut the fuel tap (OFF).
Safety recommendations
The Eurom GE720 is fitted with two thermal safeguard that switches the device off if it is overloaded. The red 230V- safety button is located on the front, by the 230V-socket; the 12V-safety button is on the side, near the 12V-socket. In the event of an overload, the button will pop out. Disconnect all devices and let the generator cool down for at least 5 minutes. Then reset the generator by pushing the button in again. Restart the generator with a lower load. If the thermal safeguard switches off the generator even though you know that it is not overloaded, stop using the generator and take it to your supplier for checks/repair.
Regular checks, maintenance, storage and reuse
Always turn the generator off before carrying out maintenance!
Spark plug

text_image
0,7 - 0,8 mm.Check the spark plug after 50 working hours. Remove any carbon build-up, check to ensure the spark plug is not discolored and, if necessary, set the opening (0.7 to 0.8 mm), or replace the spark plug with another of the same type.
Air filter

Clean the air filter every 150 working hours or 3 months (whichever comes first). Undo the panel on the socket side (2 large cross-head screws). Remove the air filter (foam block) and wash it in a little clean petrol. Drip a little engine oil (SEA20) on it and press (do not wring) the filter out carefully. Let the filter dry thoroughly before replacing. Replace the panel. A damaged or worn air filter must be replaced. Never run the generator without the air filter!
Fuel filter

Clean the fuel filter after every 150 working hours/3 months (whichever comes first); the fuel filter is found in the filling opening, under the cap. Take the filter out of the opening, clean it in a little clean petrol, dry and then replace. A damaged or worn fuel filter must be replaced. Never run the generator without the fuel filter!
Store
- Carry out all maintenance work
- Remove the fuel from the tank by using a plastic siphon pump (not included)
- Start the engine and let the engine idle until it stops. This will strip the carburetor of any remaining fuel.
- Let the engine cool down for about 5 minutes.
- Remove the spark plug.
- Pour a teaspoon of two-stroke engine oil into the combustion chamber. Gently pull the pull cord several times to wet the inner parts with oil.
- Replace the spark plug
- Clean the outside of the motor housing.
- Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from sources of ignition and combustible materials.
Reuse
- Remove the spark plug.
- Gently pull the pull cord several times to remove oil from the inner parts.
- Install a cleaned or new spark plug.
- Fill the fuel tank.
Applications
The Eurom GE720 supplies continuous AC 650W / 50Hz (max. 720W). An overview of possible uses can be found at the end of this manual.
The generator also has a 12V / 5.3A DC-connection that can be used to charge a battery (max. 40 A/h).
Problems and solutions
The engine fails to start
- Too little fuel: check and fill if necessary.
- Fuel tap is closed: open it (ON).
- Switch is not set to ON: switch to on.
- The speed and/or power with which you pull the cord is insufficient: pull the cord forcefully.
- The spark plug is contaminated with carbon: check and clean.
- Dirty air filter: clean it.
The engine won't start?
- Dirty fuel tap: Empty the tank and screw both cross-head screws out of the fuel tap. Clean the tap and replace all items in their original positions.
If the above tips do not resolve the issue, please see your supplier/service point for repairs. Never carry out repairs on the generator yourself!
Disposal

At its end of life, discard the device according to the local laws and regulations, or deliver the device to your supplier.

| Appliances may use more energy while being switched on. This is the peak current discharge. The appliance will not work if the peak current discharge is greater than the aggregate's capacity, even if the normal power is equal to the aggregate's power. The following list contains common products and their coefficient. Multiply the power of the appliance by the coefficient. This will give you the required amount of power for your aggregate. | ||||||||
