• Contact with conductors or components under electrical tension can be lethal.

• Observe the following safety instructions in order to avoid the risk of electric shock:

• To avoid the risk of damage to the equipment, use only the AC mains adapter supplied with the equipment.

• Do not use the equipment if the AC mains adapter, the power cable or the plug is damaged.

• Never open the enclosure of the AC mains adapter. There is a risk of electric shock if you touch any contacts or connections under electrical tension or if you modify the electrical or mechanical construction.

• Protect the equipment against moisture and moisture penetration, and keep it free of dust. Unplug the AC mains adapter immediately in case of contact with moisture. Unplug the AC mains adapter in case of malfunctions, during thunderstorms, and when cleaning the equipment.

• Protect the cable against contact with hot surfaces or other sources of hazard, and do not allow it to be pinched.

• Risk of fatal injury due to electric shock! Before cleaning the equipment, switch it off and unplug the power cable from the mains receptacle.

• Risk due to leaking battery fluid from leaking batteries (regular or rechargeable) can cause injuries (skin irritation) or damage to the equipment. Wear safety gloves.

• If you suspect that the equipment is damaged, always have it checked by an expert before using it again.

• No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.

• Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.

• The apparatus shall not be exposed to tripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.

• Caution: Danger of explosion if the battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

• Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

• The AC mains adaptor is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

• Failure to use batteries according to instructions can be hazardous.

• Always use batteries (regular or rechargeable) of the same type.

• Ensure that batteries are installed with correct polarity. Damage to the batteries and the equipment can result from installation with incorrect polarity.

• Never toss batteries into a fire, due to the risk of explosion.

• Never allow battery terminals to come into contact with each other or with metal objects, either intentionally or accidentally. This can cause overheating, fire or explosion.

• Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Consult a doctor immediately in case of swallowing.

• Fluid from leaking batteries can cause permanent damage to the equipment. Take particular care when handling damaged or leaking batteries, due to the risk of corrosion. Wear safety gloves.

7. Volume adjustment

• Take the appliance and accessories out the box. Remove the stickers, protective foil or plastic from the device.

• Before using your appliance for the first time, wipe off all removable parts with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive products.

• Place the appliance on a stable surface and make sure there is 10 cm. free of space around the appliance.

• NOTE: It is normal that strange odor comes out from the unit for the first use. This will cause after a short while.Instruction manual

• Connect both the parent unit and the baby unit to the provided power adaptors or battery. Press the Power button . The power LED will light up in green. Put the baby unit in the baby room and putat 2m distance from the baby. Parents can hear the baby's voice with the receiver. If the parent unit volume is too low, adjust the volume. The volume LEDs indicate the sound level of the baby. Pairing

• Under the normal conditions, the units are correctly paired by the manufacturer. But in some cases it is necessary to pair the unit again. You will have to do that if the parent unit (receiver) loses the signal from the baby unit (transmitter).

• First, turn on both baby and parent units.

• Now press the pairing button at the side of both baby and parent units simultaneously. After this, release the pairing button. Battery Power

• For both units, receiver and transmitter, use exclusively AAA size 1.5V alkaline batteries (6 pcs required, but not included). Unscrew the screw of the battery compartment, take the lid off and insert the batteries with the right polarity. Put the lid back, screw in the screw and check that it is perfectly closed. Switch the unit on and check that the power LED is on and in green. Mains power

• The Baby monitor can operate by batteries as well as by power adaptors. Insert the power adaptor into an AC outlet. If your outlet has a security switch, make sure it is on. Switch the unit on and check that the power LED is on and in green.

• When the battery becomes weak, the power LEDs of the units turns red. Replace the batteries as soon as possible. For extended use, it is advised to use a power adapter.

• If the receiver is too far from transmitter, they won't work properly. You will hear a beeping sound which is the out of range alert. The volume LEDs will flash as well. In this case, you have to put the two units nearer to each other. If the receiver is too close to the transmitter, an acoustic feedback might be heard. In this case, you have to put the two units farther away from each other, or turn down the volume of the receiver.

• A background noise from the receiver may indicate that the batteries are running and they need to be replaced. Check if the power LED is turning orange, this indicates that the batteries need to be replaced.

• If there is no sound in the baby unit's vicinity, the baby unit will stop transmitting the signal to the parent unit. The parent unit is in VOX mode (standby mode). When there is sound again from the baby unit, it will trigger the parent unit to work again.

• If you have a poor signal, please make sure the baby & parent units are not out of range. In extreme cases, you can try to re-pair the units.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Clean the appliance with a damp cloth. Never use harsh and abrasive cleaners, scouring pad or steel wool, which damages the device.
