Hot steam may leave the lid. Take off the lid and the egg tray always with the two handles. ∙ Hygiene: Please always clean the device to avoid bacteria and mould formation. ∙ Risk of injury! At the bottom of the measuring cup is the egg needle. Always put the protective cap back on the needle after each use. ∙ Unplug the device after usage. Cleaning ∙ Attention! Pull the plug before cleaning and allow the device to cool down. ∙ Never immerse the unit into water. ∙ Depending on the hardness of the water, it can lead to limescale which worsen the cooking result. In this case, the device must be cleaned more frequently. ∙ Clean the heating plate with a wet cloth. ∙ Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel sponges. ∙ In case of limescale, add a vinegar and water mixture to the heating plate and cook let it for some minutes. After it cooled down, swipe off the cooking plate. ∙ Discoloration of the cooking bowl is not a reason for rejection.13 ∙ Clean the housing with a damp cloth. Lid and egg tray are dish- washer proof. Workplace Important: Never place this device on or next to hot surfaces (e.g. hot sto- ves). Only use it on a even, stable and a heat resisting surface. It is important that no inflammable items are near to the device. Do not place the device on the edge of the table so that it cannot be touched by children or fall down when touched. Put into operation ∙ The given amounts of water refer to room-warm eggs of size „M“ ∙ Fill the cooking plate with cold water according to the indication on the measuring cup. Never fill up more water than the maximum capacity! ∙ Broach the eggs on their flat side with the needle on the bottom of the measuring cup and place them with the flat side up in the egg tray. Put the lid onto the device. ∙ Note: the cooking result is affected by various factors, such as size, thickness of the eggshell, temperature.
∙ The basic setting can be adjusted with changed amounts of water: o Harder eggs: fill in slightly more water than indicated on the scale. o Softer eggs: fill in slightly less water than indicated on the scale.14 ∙ Set the rotary switch to cooking I, the LED lights up.
