How to set the time on the Nedis RDDB5110BK radio?

The time is set automatically as soon as a DAB+ signal is received. Otherwise, go to the menu via the Menu button (9), select Time/Date, then use the Tune button (2) to adjust the values and Enter (10) to confirm.

How to save a station as a preset?

Press and hold the Preset button (6). Turn the Tune button (2) to choose a location (1-40), then press Enter (10) to confirm. You can save up to 40 DAB+ and 40 FM stations.

How to use the alarm function?

Press the Alarm button (8) to select alarm 1 or 2. Use Tune (2) to set hours, minutes, source (DAB+/FM/buzzer), days (every day, weekends, weekdays, once), and volume. Confirm each step with Enter (10). Activate the alarm at the end.

How to activate the sleep function?

Press the Menu button (9), navigate to the Sleep option. Choose a duration (15, 30, 45, 60 minutes or off). The radio will turn off automatically after this time.

What to do if the radio does not pick up any DAB+ station?

Make sure the telescopic antenna is fully extended. Move the radio near a window or to a higher position. Perform a manual search by pressing the Scan button (12). Check that you are in an area covered by DAB+.

How to connect an external device in AUX mode?

Connect a 3.5 mm audio cable between your device (smartphone, MP3 player) and the auxiliary input (16) on the back of the radio. Press the Mode button (7) until AUX is selected. The sound will be played through the radio's speakers.

How to reset the radio to factory settings?

Press Menu (9), navigate to Factory reset and confirm with Enter (10). All presets and settings will be erased.

What is the battery life and how to charge it?

The built-in 1200 mAh battery provides up to 4 hours of playback. Charge it via the micro-USB port (14) with a 5V/500mA USB adapter. The LED indicator (15) lights up during charging; a full charge takes about 3 hours.

How to change the screen backlight?

Press Menu (9), select Backlight. You can choose between On (always on) or Off (turns off after a few seconds) by turning the Tune button (2) and confirming with Enter (10).

What to do if the radio does not turn on?

Check that the battery is charged or plug in the power adapter. Make sure the micro-USB cable is properly connected. If the LED indicator does not light up, try another USB adapter. If the problem persists, contact Nedis customer service.

Setup

1. Connect the micro USB cable to A ⑭ and an USB adapter.

2. Connect the adapter to a power outlet to charge the radio.
   The charging indicator LED A ^15 lights up during charging. A full charge takes approximately 3 hours.

3. Extend the antenna A ⑬.

Alternatively, you can use built-in battery.

Setting date and time

If a DAB+ signal is found, date and time will be set automatically.

DAB+ mode

1. When the radio is in FM or AUX mode, press Mode A ⑦ to switch to DAB+. The radio will scan for available DAB+ stations automatically.

2. Turn Tune A ② to switch stations.

FM mode

1. When the radio is in DAB+ or AUX mode, press Mode A ⑦ to switch to FM. The radio will scan for available FM stations automatically.

2. Turn Tune A ② to switch stations.

AUX mode

1. Connect a device via a 3.5 mm jack to the AUX port A ^16 .
2. When the radio is in DAB+ or FM mode, press Mode A ^7 to switch to AUX.

Using presets

1. Press and hold Preset A ⑥ to save the current station. You can save up to 40 DAB+ stations and 40 FM stations.

2. Turn Tune A ② .

3. Press Enter A ⑩ to confirm.

Two different alarms can be set.

1. Press A ⑧ to select alarm 1.
2. Press A ② again to select alarm 2.
3. Press Enter A ⑩ to confirm.
4. Turn A ② to set the hours of the wake up time. Press A ⑩ to confirm.
5. Turn A ② to set the minutes. Press A ⑩ to confirm.
6. Turn A ^2 to choose the source of the alarm: DAB+ / FM or buzzer. Press A ^10 to confirm.
7. Turn A ^2 to choose when to sound the alarm. Choose between Daily / Weekends / Weekdays / Once. Press A ^10 to confirm.
8. Turn A ② to set the alarm volume. Press A ⑩ to confirm.
9. Turn A ② to switch the alarm on or off. Press A ^10 to confirm.

Snoozing and switching off the alarm

1. Press Enter A ⑩ to snooze the alarm
2. Turn A ② to select the snooze time between 5/10/15/30 minutes. Press A ^10 to confirm.
3. Press A ⑧ to switch off the alarm.
