How to charge the SBKL 40 B2 headphones?

Connect the micro USB connector of the charging cable to the USB charging port on the headphones, then plug the USB-A connector into a USB port on a PC or a power adapter. The LED indicator flashes red during charging and turns green when charging is complete. Full charging takes about 2 hours.

How to connect the headphones via Bluetooth?

Press and hold the Power button for about 2 seconds until the Bluetooth indicator flashes white (pairing mode). On your device (phone, computer), enable Bluetooth and select "SBKL 40 B2" from the device list. Once connected, the indicator lights up white for 5 seconds and then turns off.

How to activate active noise cancellation (ANC)?

Briefly press the ANC button (Power button) to activate or deactivate the function. A sound signal confirms the status change. ANC filters out unwanted ambient noise for better listening.

Can I use the headphones with an audio cable?

Yes, plug the supplied 3.5 mm audio cable into the headphone jack and your playback device. The Bluetooth connection is then disabled, but the ANC function remains available. Volume adjustment is done only on the playback device.

How to clean the headphones?

Turn off the headphones and disconnect all cables. Clean them with a slightly damp cloth and a little mild detergent. Make sure no moisture enters the product. Do not use abrasive products.

What to do if the headphones do not turn on?

Check that the battery is charged. If the LED indicator flashes red, the battery is empty: recharge it as described in the manual. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

How to skip tracks?

To skip to the next track, press and hold the Vol+ button for about 2 seconds. To go back to the previous track, press and hold the Vol- button for about 2 seconds during playback.

How to use voice command?

Make sure Siri (iOS) or Google Assistant (Android 5.0+) is enabled on your Bluetooth-connected device. Then press and hold the Play/Pause button for about 4 seconds to activate voice command. You can then give voice commands.

Can the headphones connect to two devices simultaneously?

Yes, the headphones support simultaneous connection to two Bluetooth devices. Once the first device is connected, activate the multi-connection mode by holding down the Bluetooth button for 2 seconds, then connect the second device as usual.

Where to find the IAN reference number for warranty?

We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. The buttons

built into the product allows you to select the piece of music from the playlist selected on the playback device. They are further used to adjust the volume of the product. The headphones may be paired with two different devices (e.g. mobile and computer) at the same time to e.g. use both the telephone features of the mobile and the audio features of the computer. The built-in rechargeable battery allows for cordless operation. The instructions for use are part of the product. They contain important information concerning safety, use and disposal. Before using the product, please familiarise yourself with all of the safety information and instructions for use. Only use the product as described and for the specified applications. If

you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.

This Headphones with ANC Bluetooth® and NFC function (hereinafter referred to as "product") a consumer electronic, is intended to render audio transmitted from a smartphone, computer, or similar playback devices via Bluetooth® connection. The product is also suitable as a hands-free device for mobiles; the mobile or the computer must support Bluetooth® 5.0 standard to do so. This product was designed for personal use. It must not be used for commercial purposes. Any other use is considered improper. Any claims resulting from improper use or due to unauthorised modification of the product will be considered unwarranted. Any such use is at your own risk. RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE

This product does not contain any parts which can be serviced by the user. The rechargeable battery cannot be replaced.
Keep the product away from moisture, dripping and splash water!
Do not place burning candles or other open fire on or next to the product.
Check the product before every use! Discontinue use if any damage to the product or the charging cable is detected!
If you notice smoke or unusual noise or odour, switch the product off immediately and remove the USB cable.
Sudden temperature changes may cause condensation inside the product. In this case, allow the product to acclimate for some time before using it again to prevent short circuits!
Do not operate the product near heat sources, e.g. radiators or other devices emitting heat!
Do not throw the product into fire and do not expose to high temperatures.

WARNING - Radio interference

Switch the product off on airplanes, in hospitals, service rooms, or near medical electronic systems. The wireless signals transmitted could impact the functionality of sensitive electronics. Keep the product at least 20~cm from pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators, as the electromagnetic radiation may impair the functionality of pacemakers. The radio waves transmitted could cause interference in hearing aids. Do not place the product near flammable gasses or potentially explosives areas (e.g. paint shops) with the wireless components on, as the radio waves emitted can cause explosions and fire. The range of the radio waves varies by environmental conditions. In the event of wireless data transmission, unauthorised third parties receiving the data cannot be excluded. The OWIM GmbH & Co KG is not responsible for interference with radios or televisions due to unauthorised modification of the product. The OWIM GmbH & Co KG further assumes no liability for using or replacing cables and products not distributed by OWIM. A warning with this symbol is to indicate that always remember that excessive sound pressure or volumes from headphones or earphones can lead to damage to the hearing. Always adjust the volume to a pleasant, not too loud level. If you have adjusted the volume of the headphones to be too high and use that for an extended period, it can damage the listener's hearing.

Safety instructions for built-in rechargeable batteries

• Never open the product, repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel.

• Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures, which could affect rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators / direct sunlight.
  If rechargeable batteries have

leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes with the chemicals! Flush immediately the affected areas with fresh water and seek medical attention!

• Do not cover the product during operation or charging. Otherwise the product can overheat.
  This product contains a rechargeable battery, which can lead to fire, explosion or leakage of hazardous substances in case of incorrect application.

Before use

- Charging the battery

Before use, verify the package contents are complete and undamaged!
The battery must be charged prior to first use.
TheLED 6 will flash red and headphones sound acoustic signal when the battery is drained. The battery should then be charged as soon as possible.
Plug the micro-USB plug on the charging cable into the USB charging socket 12 on the headphones! Plug the USB type A plug 17 on the charging cable into the USB port on a PC or a USB adapter (not included).
① NOTE: The LED 6 will flash red whilst charging. Once the battery is charged, above 50% battery capacity the LED 6 will light up green.
Once charging has completed, remove the micro-USB plug from the headphones.

Using the headphones

Connect the headphones with a communication device.
Place the headphones near a switched on communication device (e.g. mobile or computer).
- Pairing with a new Bluetooth® device: Hold the On/Off button 13 for approx. 2 seconds until the LED 7 flashes white. This indicates the headphones are now ready to connect mode, which remains active for 5 minutes. The headphones will switch off if they do not detect a Bluetooth® device to connect to.
Now connect your communication device (mobile phone or computer) via Bluetooth® with the headphones. Please refer to the notes in the instructions for your communication device. Select the entry "SBKL 40 B2" from the list of devices detected by your computer or mobile.
Once the connection has been established, the LED 7 will flash white for 5 seconds. After that the LED 7 will turn OFF.
Please note, your communication device must support Bluetooth® Standard 5.0 to use all options.
You may need to approve the connection on the communication device. Please refer to the instructions for use of the communication device on this topic!
The headphones may be manually switched off by holding the On/Off button13 for 4 seconds until the LEDs6 and7 go.

- Connecting the headphones to a second Bluetooth® device

The headphones may be connected to two Bluetooth® communication devices at the same time. If the headphones are already connected to a device, follow the steps below to connect to the second device:

Activate multipoint mode by pressing and holding Bluetooth® button 8 for 2 seconds. The first communication device (mobile phone or computer) is disconnected.
Now connect to the second communication device via Bluetooth® with the headphones. Please refer to the notes in the instructions for your communication device. Select the entry "SBKL 40 B2" from the list of devices detected by your computer or mobile. The second communication device is connected.
- Select the entry "SBKL 40 B2" from the list of devices detected by your first communication device / computer. Now, both communication devices are connected to the headphones simultaneously.
After connected the headphone with 2 Bluetooth® devices, you can playback music via either one of device.

- Connection via NFC

You can simply connect the headphones with your mobile device by tapping 2 devices together via NFC touchpoint 9.
Please follow below steps to complete the Bluetooth® connection via NFC touchpoint 9.

1. Turn the headphones and the Bluetooth® function on. The LED 7 will flash white. The NFC function is now enabled and ready for the connection by tapping the NFC touchpoint 9 of the headphones.
2. Enable your mobile device with both Bluetooth® and NFC function powered on.
3. Tap the NFC touchpoint of your mobile device and the NFC touchpoint 9 of the headphones. Your mobile device may prompt out a message for Bluetooth connection for acceptance.
4. Once the connection between the mobile device and the headphones is established, the LED 7 flashes white and then turn OFF.

NOTE: This feature requires your mobile device to support Bluetooth® pairing via the NFC feature. Please refer to your owner's manual for your mobile device to learn about this NFC feature.

Clearing paired devices

You can clear up the paired device anytime. Please press both Vol+ button 3 and Vol- button 5 together at the same time for approx. 5 seconds. The memory in the headphones is cleared and it will not autoconnected to the previous paired communication device.

Voice announcement

This headphone integrated with voice announcement feature that will let you know existing product status:

• ANC ON/OFF status
  -Bluetooth ⑥ connection status
  Rechargeable battery capacity level whilst Power ON

- Connecting the headphones through audio cable

Insert the 3.5mm jack plug at one end of audio cable 16 to 3.5mm jack socket 11.
Insert the 3.5mm jack plug at other end of audio cable to 3.5mm jack socket of your playback device.

When a 3.5mm cable is plugged into the 3.5mm jack socket [11], the Bluetooth® connection will be disconnected. The ANC function remains ON.

Start a playlist on your playback device. You can only adjust the music volume on the playback device.

Active Noise Cancellation function (ANC)

In order to filter out unwanted noises from surrounding you can enable the active noise cancellation (ANC) function.

Press once the ANC button 13 to switch ON / OFF the ANC function and an acoustic signal will sound.

Voice control function with Siri/Google assistant

Please follow below steps to activate the Voice Control function:

1. First activate Siri or Google assistant on you mobile device.

For IOS device, please complete the Siri setup before activate with this voice control function on headphone. For Android device, please open the Google assistant function and then follow its instructions to complete setting before using voice control function on headphone.

NOTE: Google Assistant is available on Android 5.0 or above devices.

1. Activate the Bluetooth® function and connect this headphones with your mobile device.
2. After connecting the headphones with your mobile device, press the Play / Pause button for about 4 seconds to activate the voice control function.
3. Now you can use the voice control function.

- Putting on the headphones

The headphones can be adjusted to your head size, if necessary: The speakers 2 are secured to the band 1 with a metal rail for this purpose. Adjust these to ensure optimal comfort. Please follow the marking "L" (= left) and "R" (= right).

- Headphones button functions for music playback

Start a playlist on your playback device and set the volume to minimum first. After putting the headphones on select a pleasant volume. You can adjust the headphones volume with volume control button 3 or 5. Music is played back through the speakers 2.
This headphone contains total 5 buttons. These control the following functions:

You may also use the headphones for telephone calls when used with a communication device which supports this function. If your communication device supports the Bluetooth® standard 5.0, you will be able to use the following functions:

The warranty for this product is 3 years from the date of purchase. Should this product show any fault in materials or manufacture within 3 years from the date of purchase, we will repair or replace it - at our choice - free of charge to you.
