Instruction Manual Thank you for choosing our product. We hope you enjoy using the appliance. Symbols in these Instructions for Use Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the appliance:
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged pur- pose. This appliance is not t for commercial use.
- The power adapter is only suitable for use in dry rooms.
- Check if the output current, voltage and the polarity of the power adapter match the information on the connected appliance!
- Do not touch the connected power adapter with wet hands!
- When cleaning if necessary disconnect the appliance from the power adapter.
- Ensure that the cable of the power adapter does not become kinked, jammed, driven over or come into contact with heat sources.
- Do not use a damaged power adapter.
- Do not repair the appliance yourself, but visit an authorized specialist.
- The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of dam- age. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.
- Use only original spare parts.
- In order to ensure your children’s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
Do not allow small children to play with the foil. There is a danger of suffocation! This appliance is not designed to be cleaned under running water. Please observe the instructions that we have included in the chapter “Cleaning”. WARNING of electrical shock:

- Do not use any power adapter other than the one supplied.
- Only use the appliance to trim hair on the head, facial hair and body hair. Charging the Appliance
- Turn the appliance off. “OFF” can be seen on the switch.
- Connect the power adapter connector with one of the following jacks. - The socket directly at the bottom end of the appliance. - Alternatively place the appliance in the charging station. The socket is at the rear.
- Plug the power adapter into wall outlet.
- The indicator light remains red during the charging process.
- Charge the appliance before rst use for 12 hours. NOTE:
- The charge indicator does not indicate the state of charge of the rechargeable battery.
- If the rechargeable battery is empty, the appliance can be operated via mains power. In order to do so, connect the power adapter directly to the appliance.
- After initial use, do not charge the battery for longer than 12 hours at one time. CAUTION: After 12 hours always disconnect from mains power supply. NOTE of lifetime rechargeable battery You can extent the lifetime of the rechargeable battery by following these steps:
- Only charge after the battery is nearly exhausted.
- Do not charge for more than 12 hours.
- Charge the appliance at temperatures between 0 ° and + 40 °C. Attachments Hair cutter (39 mm) and beard trimmer (30 mm) Please select the tting attachment for your hair thickness. For ner hair, please use the beard trimmer. Comb attachments With the comb attachments, you select different cutting lengths for your hair.

- When the comb attachment for the beard trimmer (30 mm) is attached to the beard trimmer, you can select different length settings. The length settings are printed on the side. Precision trimmer Use the precision trimmer if you want to cut precise contours. It is especially suitable for use on the upper lip, the eyebrows, and along the jaw. Shaver attachment The shaver attachment has been specically designed for close shaving on the beard, moustache and sideburns. Nose hair / ear hair trimmer With this attachment, you can easily and safely remove unwanted hairs in the nose and ear regions. Using the Appliance Switching On and Off Thanks to the lock (11), the appliance cannot be turned on accidentally.
- Press the lock and slide up the switch at the same time to turn on the appliance. You will see “ON” on the switch.
- Slide the switch down to turn off the appliance. You will see “OFF“ on the switch. Putting on and Taking Off the Attachments
Always switch the appliance off before you t attachments or accessories!
- Always connect the attachments to the appliance by putting in the catch lock rst.
- When using the nose hair / ear hair trimmer, please note that the white drive shaft must be on top of the brass-colored motor driver.
- Press the attachment onto the base unit until you hear a click sound.
- To remove an attachment from the appliance, press the attachment backwards with your thumb. Take a look at the adjacent illustration.
- To attach a comb attachment to the hair cutter, do the fol- lowing: Slide the blades of the shaving head into the spikes of the comb attachment. Press the attachment onto the shaving head tightly. It must audibly clicks into place. Downloaded from www.vandenborre.bePC-BHT3014_IM 20.11.17
- To remove the comb attachment, press the catch lock until it disengages.
- Attach a comb attachment to the beard trimmer as follows: Slide the shaving head into the lateral guides of the comb attachment until it clicks into place.
- To remove the comb attachment, just pull it off. Cut hair and beard

Do not press the shaving head of the hair cutter or beard trimmer onto your skin too tightly. NOTE: Only cut dry hair with this appliance.

1. Attach the shaver attachment (10) to the appliance.
2. Switch the appliance on.
3. Hold the appliance in such a way that the shaver attachment makes light contact
with the face at a 45 degree angle. NOTE: The switch (13) does not function. Removing nasal hair / ear hair

- Only remove hair protruding from the nostril / ear lobe.
- Never push the appliance into the nostril / ear lobe using force. You can hurt yourself when the shaving head is inserted too deep!

3. Carefully insert the tip of the shaver head into the nostril or ear lobe and remove
it again. NOTE: The switch (13) does not function. Finish Operation Turn the appliance off. Cleaning
- Turn off the appliance and disconnect the power adapter from the mains supply when cleaning.
- Do not submerge the appliance in water!
- Do not immerse the power adapter in wa
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasives.
- Do not use sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Do not clean the shaving foil of the shaver with the cleaning brush.
- Use the cleaning brush to remove remaining hair after use.
- Clean the casing with a slightly damp cloth, if necessary.
- Always clean the power adapter with a dry cloth. Attachments
- Remove the attachments.
- Clean the attachments under warm running water using the provided cleaning brush.
- The shaving head of the shaver attachment can be removed. Press the surfaces at the side of the shaving head together and pull it off.
- Rinse the shaving head under warm running water.
- Clean the shaving blades with the cleaning brush.
- Let the cleaned parts dry.
- Then re-attach the shaving head to the shaver attachment. It must click into place on both sides.
- Regularly apply 1 - 2 drops of non-resinous and acid-free oil to the shaving blades of the attachments (1, 6, 9, 10). Storage
- Clean the appliance as described and allow it to dry.
- We recommend that you keep the appliance in the original packaging if it will not be used for long periods.

Disposal Remove / Dispose of Rechargeable Batteries This appliance is equipped with a rechargeable Ni-MH battery. Remove the battery before disposing of the appliance. As a consumer you are legally bound to return exhausted batteries/ rechargeable batteries.
Disconnect from mains power supply before removing the battery!
- Use a small crosshead screwdriver to remove the screws inside the appliance.
- Pry both halves of the housing apart using a screwdriver, thereby destroying the appliance.
- Remove the rechargeable batteries.
