The light can be mounted onto any normally in- flammable surface. This product is only intended for private household use. This device may be used by children aged 8 years and up, as well as by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capacities, or those lacking experience and / or knowledge, as long as they are supervised or instructed in the safe use of the device and they understand the as- sociated risks. Do not allow children to play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without su- pervision. Avoid the risk of fatal injury from electric shock Ensure that a qualified electrician, or a person trained to carry out electrical installations, per- forms the electrical installation. We assume no liability for property damage or personal injury due to improper handling or failure to observe the safety notices! Never use the light if any defects have been identified. Prior to installation, remove the fuse or switch off the circuit breaker 0 setting in the fuse box. Ensure that the light does not come into contact with water or other liquids under any circum- stances. Prior to installation, ensure that the mains voltage on site corresponds with the operating voltage required for the light (220–240 V∼). Be sure not to damage any wires during installation. Prevent fire and injury hazards To prevent burns, be sure the light is switched off and cooled down before touching it. Do not attach the light to a damp or conductive substrate. Do not leave the light or packaging material ly- ing about unattended. Plastic film / bags, plastic parts etc. are dangerous for children to play with. Do not look directly into the light source (light bulb, LED etc.). Do not use optical instruments to look at the light. Preparation Required tools and material The tools and materials specified are not included. This information and these values are non-binding and are only provided as a reference. This person must be familiar with the properties of the light and the connection regulations. Familiarise yourself with all the instructions and diagrams in this manual, as well as with the light itself, before you install it. Make careful preparations for mounting and allow yourself adequate time. Organise all parts and any necessary additional tools or materials before starting so they are easy to reach. Always be attentive! Always pay attention to what you are doing and proceed with caution at all times. Never install the light if you are having difficulty concentrating or do not feel well. Before installation ensure that the circuit to which the light will be connected is not energised. To do so, remove the fuse or switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box (position 0). Verify that the components are not energised using a voltage tester. Ensure that you do not damage any electrical cables, gas or water pipes when you drill into the wall. Please refer to the instructions for use for your power drill. Initial use Mounting the light Prior to installation, remove the fuse or switch off the circuit breaker 0 setting in the fuse box (see Fig. A). Install the light as shown in figure B. Reinstall the fuse or switch on the circuit breaker in the fuse box (position I) (see Fig. C). Your light is now ready to use. Installing / replacing the illuminant

SHOCK! When installing / replacing the illuminant, first disconnect the light from the mains. To do so, remove the fuse or switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box (position 0). Replace the illuminant as shown in figure B. Please refer to chapter “Technical Data“ for which illuminant is required for the respective model. Replace the fuse or switch on the circuit breaker in the fuse box (I position). Switching the light on / off Use the wall switch to switch the light on or off. Maintenance and Cleaning

SHOCK! Disconnect the light from the mains circuit before cleaning. To do so, remove the fuse or switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box (position 0).

SHOCK! For electrical safety reasons do not clean the lamp with harsh detergents and never immerse it in water.

TO HOT SURFACES! Allow the light to cool down completely. Do not use solvents such as petrol and the like, as they could damage the lamp. Disposal The packaging is made of entirely recy- clable materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling facilities. Contact your local community or municipal administra- tion for more details on how to dispose of your worn-out product. The symbol of the wheelie bin with a line through it means that the product has to be disposed of in a separate refuse col- lection within the European Union. This applies to the product and to all components bearing this symbol. Do not dispose of products bearing this symbol in your normal household waste, but instead take them to be recycled at a collection site for electrical and electronic appliances. Recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials and protects the envi- ronment. Declaration of Conformity This product fulfils the requirements of the applicable European and national directives. The relevant declarations and documents are held by the manufacturer.
