WARNING f Caution hot steam can escape at device. Risk of burns. PLEASE NOTE f Please note that the dispensed water (at all temperature settings) is not boiled before. Therefore, especially when preparing baby food, we recommend rst boiling the water in a saucepan for at least 3 minutes; cooling it down to room temperature and then pouring it into the device’s water tank.
2.3 Overheating protection & reset
The device is equipped with an overheating protection facility. If the temperature of the device exceeds the critical limit the device shuts o further power supply for safety reasons. By pressing the reset button (1) the device can be reactivated. Unplug the device before reset. When the device is only producing cold water please press reset button. Please use the reset button, which is located on the underside of the device.
The rating plate with the connection and performance data can be founded beneath the device. 3 Operation and Handling This chapter provides you with important information and notes on the operation and basic settings of the appliance. WARNING f Do not leave the device unsupervised during operation.
Set the water volume according to 100ml, 150ml, 200ml, 250ml, 300ml, 350ml, 400ml, 000 (continuous water ow) “On / O” button: Turns the device on and o. Start and stop the dispense of water.
3.1.1 Preparation of the waterlter
1. Remove the waterlter from all packaging.
2. Wash your hands and clean the water
tank and the lter holder.
3. Remove the water lter from its packa-
ging and soak it in fresh tap water for 10 minutes.
4. Rinse the lter for around 10 seconds
under running water.
5. Insert the lter into the lter holder, en-
suring that it sits rmly. To do this, push it down with a slight turning movement, applying some pressure when doing so.
6. Insert the lter holder into the water tank.
Run water through the lter 2-3 times, using 1 litre each time, before you drink the water. PLEASE NOTE f The lifetime of the waterlter lasts about 4-6 weeks of normal use (ltering of appro- ximately 150 l water in total). f Despite soaking the lter beforehand, a small residue of black carbon particles may leak out during use. This is normal and harmless. f Make sure that the bottom of the lter is always in contact with water and never allow it to dry out. If the lter does dry out, then re-soak it for 10 minutes. f Change the water in the tank every 48 hours at the latest. f Store the water tank and lter in a cool place and keep them out of direct sunlight.
3.1.2 Preparation of the device
1. Place the device on a hard surface.
2. Fill the tank with approx. 1 litre of water.
3. Place a vessel which can hold approx. 700 ml water under the spout.
4. Start the device with 000 temperature setting until ca. 300 ml water is dispensed.
5. Set the device to 100°C and dispense 400 ml water.
6. The device can now be equipped with waterlter and lled with fresh water.
7. The device is ready for use.
3.1.3 Set the water hardness
Simultaneously press the and -buttons until the display shows “H1”, “H2” or “FIL” under “Volume”. “H1” stands for soft water. This means that „Descaling“ will light up in the display after 60 litres of water were dispensed. „H2“ stands for hard water. This means that “Descaling” will light up in the display after 25 litres of water were dispensed. Use the “FIL”56 CASO HW 630
option to set the device for use with a water lter. If you do so, then “Descaling” will appear on the control panel display when 150 litres of water has been dispensed. You can use the -button to change between the “H1”, “H2” and “FIL” modes. Follo- wing this, conrm your selection by pressing the - button for a few seconds.
1. Fill the watertank with water. Pay attention to the mark which shows the maximum
2. Insert the water tank into the device and place its lid on top of it.

under the water spout.
4. Plug the power socket into mains power.
-button to turn on the device.
-button to choose your desired temperature and press -button to set the water volume.
-button to start the device. The pre-set water quantity will be dispen- sed from the water spout. If you want to stop the water ow in advance, press the -button again.
8. Alternatively: Press and hold
-button for dispensing of water with 37°C for preparation of baby food. Water with 37°C will be dispensed as long as button is pressed. PLEASE NOTE f If only a small amount of water is dispensed, then the desired temperature may dier. Preheat the vessel. f To protect the heating element from damage caused by dry operation, the device will draw water into its pipes the rst time it is used and when the plug is reinser- ted into the power socket. We therefore recommend initially dispensing 250 ml of water at 100°C. f If device was not used for longer time there could be scale deposits despite water lter. In this case let 100 ml with 100 °C run through the device. f The device has a reminder feature. The last settings which were saved will be stored even if the plug is removed. f The ambient temperature changes everyday. This leads to dierent amounts of water. It can vary up to +- 15%.57 CASO HW 630
3.2.1 Water disposal from the drip tray
1. When the drip tray is full, grasp and stabilize the device
by one hand and use the other hand to lift up the drip tray slightly to remove it.
2. Lift it slightly to remove it.
3. Remove the water from the drip tray and then hook it
back onto the appliance. Make sure that the drip tray is xed to the device.
3.2.2 Replacing the waterlter

7. Following this, pour away the water.
8. Rinse the water tank carefully.
9. Then ll the tank with fresh water (without descaling agent) and start the device so
that the descaling agent is rinsed out of the pipes.
If you do not use the device very often, then remove the plug from mains power, clean the device and drain any residual water out of the device. Replace the device into its original packaging to protect the electrical components from becoming damp or getting damaged.59 CASO HW 630

6 Disposal of the Old Device Old electric and electronic devices frequently still contain valuable materials. However, they also contain damaging substances, which were necessary for their functionality and safety. If these were put in the non-recyclable waste or were handled incorrectly, they could be detrimental to human health and the environment. Therefore, do not put your old device into the non-recyclable waste under any circumstances.
f Utilise the collection point, established in your town, to return and recycle old electric and electronic devices. If necessary, contact your town hall, local refuse collection service or your dealer for information. f Ensure that your old device is stored safely away from children until it is taken away.
6.1 Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the device against damages during transit. The packa- ging materials are selected in accordance with environmentally compatible and recycling-related points of view and can therefore be recycled. Returning the packaging back to the material loop saves raw materials and reduces the quantities of accumulated waste. Take any packaging materials that are no longer requi- red to “Green Dot” recycling collection points for disposal. 7 Guarantee We provide a 24-month guarantee for defects caused by production or material faults, beginning on the date of purchase.
