Toreduceriskofinjuryordamagetotheequipment:

FUNCTIONANDPURPOSE

Thisequipmentisintendedanddesignedtokeepfoodatproperserving temperatures. Thisequipmentisnotintendedordesignedtocookraw foodortoreheatpreparedfood.Foodmustbepreparedandplacedin thechaferatproperservingtemperatures.

OPERATION

Thisequipmentisdesignedtoheatwithaninductionwarmer,electric chaferheaterorchaferfueldesignedspecificallyforchaferapplication.

Ifusinganinductionwarmerorelectricchaferheater, were recommend usingaVollrathbrandproduct.

Ifusingfuel, use only a high-quality chafergelfuel. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations for safety and use.

	CAUTION
	BurnHazardDonottouchheatingsurfaces,liquid,orwhileunitisheating oroperating.Hotfood,surfaces,steamandliquidscanburn skin.Usegloves,mittsorpotholdersifitisnecessaryto handlehotpans,platesandequipment.

	WARNING

If your chafer has a rearsupport leg, turn the leg to extend it to support the cover. Extend the leg until it is flush with the surface on which the chafer is sitting.

NOTICE: Failuretostabilizethechafercouldcausethechafertotip.

Preheatthewater

1. Removethefoodpanfromthewaterpan/base.
2. Add HOT watertothewaterpan. HOT water will reduce warmup time otherwise water will need to be heated up to create steam into the waterpan/base.

KeepHotFoodWarm

1. Openthecover.
2. Placethefoodpancontainingfoodproductthatisalreadyatproper servingtemperatures(140°F(60°C))intothewaterpan/base.
   3.Closethecover.

NOTICE:Monitorfoodtemperaturecloselyforfoodsafety.The UnitedStatesPublicHealthServicerecommendsthathot foodbeheldataminimumof140°F(60°C)tohelp preventbacteriagrowth.

1. Regularlycheck the food temperature. If necessary, adjust the induction warmer electric chafer heater between "HI" and "LO" or reduce the flame on chafer fuel source to maintain incorrect food temperature.
2. Makesurethewaterpancontinuestogeneratesteam. Note, adding additional watertothewaterpanduringusewillrequiretimetoheat upenoughtogeneratesteam.
3. When finished using the equipment, turn off the induction warmer or turn the electric chafer heater to the "OFF" position, and unplug orextinguish the flame on the chafer fuel source.
4. Removethefoodpan. When removing hot food containers from unit use gloves, mittsorpotholder stop protect hands.
5. Allow a mpletime for the watertocool before removing the water pan/base. Disposethewater.

CLEANING

NOTICE: Do NOT immersethe chaferhingesin liquid. Water, cleaning chemicals, ordishwaterdebriscancausethe hingestomalfunction.

Tomaintaintheappearanceandincreasetheservicelife,cleanyour inductionchaferand/orstanddaily.

1. Turnoffinductionheaterorunplugtheelectricchaferheateror extinguishthechaferfuelandletthechaferand/orstandcompletely cool.
2. If applicable, removetheheatingsourcefromthestand.
3. The food pan is dish washers safe.
4. Washthewaterpanbyhandusingasolutionofmilddishdetergent andwarmwater.
5. Wipethechaferexteriorand/orstandwithacleandampcloth.

NOTICE: Donotuseabrasivematerials, scratchingcleansersor scouringpadtocleantheunit. Thesecandamagethe finish.

1. Thoroughly wipe off an mild soap or chemical cleaners. Residue could corrode the surface of the unit.
