Frequently Asked Questions - 508971 Intellinet

How do I install the converter on a DIN rail?
Place the spring of the mounting clip on the upper lip of the DIN rail, then push the device down until the clip snaps into place.
How do I connect the power supply?
Ensure the power is off. Loosen the terminal block screws, insert the stripped wires into terminals V1+ (positive), V1- (negative), and GND (ground). Tighten the screws. Repeat for V2 if redundant power.
What type of SFP module should I use?
Use a compatible 1000Base-X SFP module. Distances depend on the module (multimode or single mode).
What does the FX LED indicate?
Steady green: fiber link established. Off: no connection. Blinking: data transmission.
How do I configure the DIP switch?
LFPT ON enables Link Fault Pass Through; 100M ON limits the copper port to 100 Mbps.
What is the maximum distance with an RJ45 cable?
100 meters with Cat5e cable or higher.
Can I use two power supplies simultaneously?
Yes, the converter accepts two redundant DC inputs (12-56 V) for increased reliability.
How do I clean the device?
Disconnect the power. Use a dry lint-free cloth. Do not use chemicals.
What should I do if the LEDs do not light up?
Check the power connections, cables, and ensure the SFP module is properly inserted.
Is this converter suitable for outdoor use?
Its IP40 housing protects against dust, but it is not waterproof. Use it indoors or in a suitable enclosure.
