How to fill the tank of the GotaKid?

Lift the tank from the top, turn it over and unscrew the cap (follow the WATER arrow). Fill with cold water only, then screw the cap back on and place the tank back on the base using the float as a guide.

How to activate the HygroSmart® function?

Press the corresponding side button once: the green button lights up. The automatic humidity regulation is then active. Press again to deactivate.

What to do if the device does not produce moisture?

Check that the power cord is plugged in, the tank is correctly positioned and contains water. Make sure the power variable control is not set to the minimum position.

How to clean the humidifier?

Unplug the appliance. For daily maintenance, empty and rinse the tank with fresh water. For weekly descaling, fill the tank with 200 mL of water and 30 mL of white vinegar, let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse and dry. Also clean the ultrasonic plate with a soft brush.

Can essential oils be used with the GotaKid?

No, the use of essential oils is strongly discouraged because the base is made of ABS. Damage caused by essential oils is not covered by the warranty.

Why is there condensation around the device?

At full power, the mist can create condensation, especially if the device is near a cold surface. To avoid this, reduce the diffusion power or place the humidifier on a piece of furniture more than one meter high.

What to do in case of abnormal noise?

An abnormal noise may be due to a lack of water in the tank or an unstable surface. Check the water level and place the device on a flat, stable surface.

How to maintain the filter cartridge?

The filter cartridge screws into the inside of the tank cap. It should be replaced at least once a year, depending on the frequency of use and water hardness.

Is the humidifier suitable for a child's room?

Yes, but with precautions. The device must be placed out of reach of children under 8 years. Children over 8 years can use it under adult supervision.

How to store the humidifier in summer?

Clean it with white vinegar and let it dry completely. Store it in a dry place, preferably in its original packaging, away from high temperatures.

As with all electrical appliances, it is important to maintain the device properly in order to avoid any damage or injury. Please read carefully these instructions before switching the device on and keep them for further reference.

Important safety instructions

Never place the humidifier in an area where it is accessible to children. Do not let children use the appliance as a toy. Do not let children play with the packaging (plastic bag, etc.).

Children must stay under parental supervision, so that they do not play with the appliance.

This product is not suitable for people (including children) with reduced physical, sensorial or mental abilities as well as people who lack knowledge of the product, except under supervision or if they have received prior instructions from the person responsible for their safety.

This unit works on 220 volts. Please check this is suitable for the electrical installation on which it will be plugged.

The appliance should be placed on a dry and flat surface. Avoid flammable or nylon-based surfaces. Avoid placing the appliance near an heater or another heat source.

Turn the unit off when filling the tank and when moving the product. The base must be filled with water only. Do not add essential oils.

The device is designed for open rooms. Do not place the air outlet directly towards a wall or an electrical socket.

To avoid any electrical shock, do not expose the power cord to water or humid surfaces.

Do not leave water when the device is switched off.

Do not use the device if damaged.

Do not introduce metallic objects inside the device.

Do not use in a closet or other confined space.

Do not wet the device. Clean it with a moist cloth and dry it carefully before plugging it back in and switching it on.

HygroSmart® Function - Switchable night light

GotaKid helps in preventing from dry air symptoms by humidifying the ambient air thanks to a thin and cold steam. An air humidifier fights against dried mucus membranes, nose bleeding, rhinitis, eyes picks, skin, dry cough or nocturnal thirsts. In terms of hygiene and comfort, Air Naturel recommends a relative humidity between 40 and 60%.

Starting the GotaKid

A Before switching on the GotaKid device, check that the product is turned off and the front knob is in the «OFF» position.

• Place the humidifier on a flat surface, at least 60 cm above the floor and 10 cm from the wall.
• Fill in the tank (see instructions below).

• Plug the cord in an electrical socket.

• Turn the product on using the front knob and select the desired power.

• Press the side controllers to activate the HygroSmart® and night light functions (see “controls” section).
• The GotaKid humidifier switches itself off automatically when the tank is empty.

Tank filling

• Remove the tank (upper part of the device).
• Turn over the tank, unscrew the cover (follow the "WATER" arrow) and fill the tank with cold water. Never use hot water as it could create leakage.
• Screw back the cover clockwise.
• Replace the water tank on the device, using the floater as a guide.

Controls

Humidifier output

By turning the variable output controller, you can adjust the humidifier output as you wish.

• Off position : the unit is switched off
• On position: minimum output (sharp sound)
  • Max position : maximum output

Caution : while using the unit at maximum output, it can happen that the steam falls back and creates condensation around the unit which could be wrongly identified as a leak. In order to avoid that, reduce the output level and/or place the humidifier near a heating source, on a furniture more than one meter height.

HygroSmart®

HygroSmart® function allows maximum comfort for the user. When this function is engaged, the unit will automatically control the relative humidity on a comfortable range.

• Press to enable (the green knob lights).
• Press once more to disable (the knob turns off)

Night-light

The built-in night-light sublimates the design of GotaKid thanks to special treatment of its water tank. The soft colour will blends naturally into your interior decoration through the diffused light effect.

• Press once more to disable (the knob turns off)

Caution

• Check that the housing is not swamped.
• Do not use solvents or abrasive products when cleaning the device.
  • The housing is made of ABS plastic, the use of essential oils is not recommended. Any damage

following the use of essential oils will not be covered under warranty.

- Change the water in the tank at least once every 72 hours (in case of occasional usage) in order to avoid any bacteria growth.

Maintenance and storage

Daily maintenance

• Before any operation, unplug the device.
• Empty the water from the tank and rinse off with clear water in order to remove any eventual scale deposit.
  • Dry the tank with absorbent tissue.

Storage

• Clean as previously recommended with a white vinegar-based solution.
• Let the device dry.
• Store in a dry place, preferably in its original packaging. Avoid high temperatures

Weekly maintenance

• Fill the tank with 200 mL of water added with a 30 mL of white vinegar.
• Dry the ultrasonic plate, clean it with a soft brush and wipe it with a soft tissue

Extra products

Filtration cartridge

The filtration cartridge prevents scale deposits. It screws itself inside the tank cover and stays immersed in water. It should be replaced once or twice a year depending on usage and water hardness.

The product does not work properly
