USER MANUAL LA180203 LANAFORM
Thank you for choosing the Lanaform® electric hand warmer. Convenient and easy to use, it will keep you warm for several hours, charging in just a few minutes. Furthermore, you can use it completely safely thanks to its superior protection. PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR HAND WARMER, ESPECIALLY THIS BASIC SAFETY INFOR- MATION:
- Use this device only according to the instructions for use given in this manual.
- Check that your mains voltage is the same as that of your device.
- This appliance is not intended for use by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capa- bilities, or people with lack of experience or knowledge, unless someone responsible for their safety can supervise or instruct them beforehand on how to use the appliance. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
- Do not use accessories that are not recommended by Lanaform® or that are not supplied with this equipment.
- Do not connect or disconnect the plug of the device with wet hands.
- If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a special lead or similar lead available from the supplier or its after-sales department.
- Do not use this device if the plug is damaged, if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped on the oor or if it is damaged or has fallen into water. Have the device examined and repaired by the supplier or its after-sales department.
- Unplug a device that has fallen into water immediately before retrieving it.
- Check that the hand warmer is fully sealed before using it.
- Take all necessary precautions to avoid burns.
- Do not use the hand warmer when it is plugged in.
- Do not use this device under a cover or under a cushion. Excessive heat can cause re, electrocution or injury.
- Handle the hand warmer with care. The internal temperature may in fact reach 70°C and 60°C on its surface.
- An electrical device should never remain connected unsupervised. Disconnect it when you are not using it.
- Keep the power cable away from hot surfaces.
- Always unplug the device after use or before cleaning it.
- Do not insert any object into the hand warmer. This could impair its operation.
- Never use this device in a room where aerosol products (sprays) are used or in a room where oxygen is administered COMPONENTS

- The body of the hand warmer is pliable and very comfortable.
- The walls protecting the bag consist of 4 thin, thermo-compressed lm layers, increasing its durability and safety.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Charging the hand warmer
1. Put the hand warmer down at on a table.
2. Insert it into the charger as shown on the diagram (Fig. 1). Connect the charger
plug to the socket. The light comes on and the hand warmer heats up.
3. Once the hand warmer reaches an internal temperature of 70°C, the light goes
out and you can disconnect the charger. You can then use the hand warmer. Advice: if you want the hand warmer to stay hot for longer: Knead the hand warmer after rst heating it up so that the water gets mixed up, wait a few minutes and re-charge it a second time. N.B.: It takes about 10 minutes to charge the hand warmer (depending on the ambient temperature) so that the surface of the hand warmer reaches a temperature of +/- 60°C.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
- Put the hand warmer in its box or in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with sharp edges and other pointed objects, which might cut or pierce the fabric surface.
- To prevent the power cable breaking at any point, do not wind it round the latter.
- Make sure that the hand warmer is completely dry before storing it. Cleaning
- Unplug the hand warmer from the charger plug and wait a few minutes before cleaning it.
- Clean it using a soft, slightly damp sponge.
- Do not immerse it in liquid to clean it.
- Never use abrasive detergents, brushes or a thinning agent to clean it.
- All the packaging is composed of materials that pose no hazard for the environment and which can be disposed of at your local sorting centre to be used as secondary raw materials. The cardboard may be disposed of in a paper recycling bin. The packaging lm must be taken to your local sorting and recycling centre.
- When you have nished using the device, please dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way and in accordance with the law. LIMITED wARRANTy LANAFORM® guarantees this product against any material or manufacturing defect for a period of two years from the date of purchase, except in the circumstances described below. The LANAFORM® guarantee does not cover damage caused as a result of normal wear to this product. In addition, the guarantee covering this LANAFORM® product does not cover damage caused by abusive or inappropriate or incorrect use, accidents, the use of unauthorized accessories, changes made to the product or any other circumstance, of whatever sort, that is outside LANAFORM®’s control. LANAFORM® may not be held liable for any type of circumstantial, indirect or specic damage. All implicit guarantees relating to the suitability of the product are limited to a period of two years from the initial date of purchase as long as a copy of the proof of purchase can be supplied. On receipt, LANAFORM® will repair or replace your appliance at its discretion and will return it to you. The guarantee is only valid through LANAFORM®’s Service Centre®. Any attempt to maintain this product by a person other than LANAFORM®’s Service Centre will render this guarantee void.
