INTRODUCTION

Thank you for choosing LANAFORM's heating overblanket. This heating overblanket will give you an unparalleled sense of well-being. Practical and lightweight, the heating overblanket will bring you optimum comfort and warmth wherever you are.

Reliable and safe, the LANAFORM heating overblanket offers adjustable temperature control and adjustable operating time.

Thanks to its removable power cord the LANAFORM heating overblanket is machine washable at up to 40^irc C.

Tested rigorously in accordance with current European standards, the LANAFORM heating overblanket not only makes you warm in winter but also keeps you warm in damp or rainy weather.

To prevent the risk of burns, electrocution, fire or injury:

• Only use the product according to the instructions given in this manual.
• This unit is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or persons with lack of experience or knowledge, unless a person responsible for their safety can supervise or instruct them beforehand in the use of the unit. Children should be supervised to make sure they do not play with the device.
• Do not use attachments that are not recommended by LANAFORM or supplied with this unit.
• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special or similar cord available from the supplier or his after sales service.
• Do not use the unit if the power plug is damaged, if the unit is not working properly, has been dropped on the floor or if it is damaged or has been dropped into water. In this case have the unit examined and repaired by the supplier or his after sales service.

• Do not expose your heating overblanket to the sun and do not iron it. This will prevent damage to the insulation of the electrical circuit.
• This heating overblanket is not intended to be used in a hospital.
• Do not use the heating overblanket with other heating devices or to heat other devices (foot warmers, hot water bottle).
  • This unit is intended only for family use.
• If you are concerned about your health, consult a physician before using the product.
• If you experience any pain during the use of this product, immediately stop using it and consult your doctor.
• Never use this unit on a body part that is swollen or inflamed or in the case of skin rash.
• The remote control must remain at hand, do not leave the switch hidden under the top mattress, pillow or another object.
• Do not use the heating overblanket when it is wet and do not turn it on to dry.
• Do not use the heating overblanket like a mattress or under a person. You may only use it as a heating overblanket around you or over the bed.
• Do not wrap the heating overblanket around you so that you can no longer perform any movement. Keep a space between yourself and the blanket so that you can have easy access to the remote control or the power plug.
• Do not pinch the blanket (especially on beds with varying positions or mattresses with separate elements).
• Do not use the blanket on animals.
• When storing your heating overblanket for a long period, store it in a dry place. Carefully check the state of your heating overblanket before operating it again for the first time. If the power cord appears damaged, do not operate the unit.
• Children should not use this heating overblanket on their own. It should be used as advised by a responsible supervising adult.
• This heating overblanket should not be used by young children or persons insensitive to heat.

Introductory remarks on the use of the heating overblanket

The LANAFORM heating overblanket is intended for warming the human body. It should be used either:

- Wrapped around you

• In this case, make sure the cord is positioned so that you cannot trip.
• Make sure that the heating overblanket is connected near a power outlet.
• Make sure that the remote control is easily accessible and not placed under a pillow or another object.
• Do not wrap the heating overblanket around you so that you can no longer move freely. Always leave a space between yourself and the blanket so that you can have easy access to the remote control or the power plug.

- Or like a blanket on a bed (and not under the person as a mattress cover)

- In this case make sure that the remote control is easily accessible and not placed under a pillow or another object.

Safety

This heating plaid is equipped with a safety system. An electronic sensor prevents overheating of the heating plaid over its entire surface by automatic shutdown in case of failure or when the connector is not properly connected to the power cable.

• If the temperature indicator (5) is displaying the letter "P", turn the cover to the "Off" position. Check that the plug is securely plugged in and turn the plaid on again. If the light is still displayed, this means that the plaid's internal connection is encountering a problem. In this case, take the plaid back to the supplier or its after-sales department.
• If the temperature indicator displays the letter "E", this means that the heating plaid is encountering a problem again in the internal electronic circuit. In this case, take the plaid back to the supplier or its after-sales department

Use of the plaid

To turn on the unit, first connect the switch to the heating plaid by plugging the connector and then insert the plug into a 220-volt power source.

Make sure the remote control is in the «ON» position (1). Two indicator lights "0" will appear on the LED screen showing the heating intensity and the timer mode (5) and (6).

To heat the plaid as quickly as possible, we recommend that you first set the thermostat to High (4) with the button specifically provided for this purpose (4) and then decrease it as you wish.

Note: To avoid excessive heat emission, the intensity of heat will be positioned at the minimum intensity (L) after one hour of use at full power.

Adjustment of heating intensity and duration of use

The remote control allows the temperature to be adjusted to 7 different levels of heat. To select the heating intensity, simply press repeatedly on the button «Temperature Set» (2) until you reach the heat level you require.

Similarly, it is possible to set the length of use of the plaid for a period ranging from one to nine hours. To do this, press the «Time Set» (3) button repeatedly to the time required.

2. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

When you are not using the heating overblanket and before cleaning, observe the following instructions:

• Make quite sure the remote control is in «ON» position (1).
• Pull out the power plug.
• Unplug the connector from the blanket remote control.
• Leave the blanket to cool before cleaning.

Cleaning

Small stains can be cleaned with a cloth or a damp sponge, and possibly with a little liquid detergent for delicate fabrics.

Warning: the heating overblanket should not be bent, dried in a dryer or machine-pressed or ironed.

If the heating overblanket is very dirty, it can be washed in a washing machine. Set it on the program for delicate fabrics at 40°C. Use a detergent for delicate fabrics and dose according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Do not wash the heating overblanket too frequently to avoid wearing it out excessively. The heating overblanket should not be washed in the washing machine more than 5 times during its life.

When drying the heating overblanket, do not hang it with clothespins or other such devices. Do not expose the heating overblanket to heat sources such as the sun, a radiator, etc.

Reconnect the switch to the heating overblanket only when the connector and the heating overblanket are completely dry.

Never switch the heating overblanket on to dry.

Storage

If you are not using the overblanket for a long time, it is advisable to store it in its original packaging in a dry place and not to place any objects on top.

The LANAFORM® guarantee does not cover damage caused as a result of normal wear to this product. In addition, the guarantee covering this LANAFORM® product does not cover damage caused by abusive or inappropriate or incorrect use, accidents, the use of unauthorized accessories, changes made to the product or any other circumstance, of whatever sort, that is outside LANAFORM®'s control.

LANAFORM ^® may not be held liable for any type of circumstantial, indirect or specific damage.

All implicit guarantees relating to the suitability of the product are limited to a period of two years from the initial date of purchase as long as a copy of the proof of purchase can be supplied.

On receipt, LANAFORM ^® will repair or replace your appliance at its discretion and will return it to you. The guarantee is only valid through LANAFORM ^® 's Service Centre ^® . Any attempt to maintain this product by a person other than LANAFORM ^® 's Service Centre will render this guarantee void.
