• Please read the following operang instrucons carefully and make sure that you have understood them.

• Operate the unit in accordance with the voltage specied in the unit mar- king.

• Never touch the surface or the inside of the appliance during operaon. There is a risk of burns!

• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug or any other part of the appliance in water or other liquids.

• Supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.

• Unplug the appliance as soon as it is not in use or you intend to clean it.

• Do not use this appliance with a da- maged cord, plug or in a faulty con- ATTENTION!17English dion. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufac- turer, a service agent or a suitably qualied person.

• Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces. Do not let the power cord hang over the edge of a table.

• The appliance must not be placed or used on or near hot surfaces (e.g. stove tops or open gas ames).

1. scope of delivery

Note: While the heang elements are warming up, a burnt smell and smoke may appear when the appliance is used for the rst me. This does not represent a danger or a defect. Wait unl the appliance has heated up and the smell has disappeared when you use the product for the rst me. It is advisable to use the appliance without contents/cooked food. Remove the appliance from its packaging and remove all packaging material. Wipe the heang plates of the sandwich maker with a slightly damp cloth. Aenon! Before cleaning or changing the heang plates, make absolutely sure that the appliance is not connected to the mains and has cooled down completely! Unplug the unit from the mains and wait unl the unit has cooled down completely before assembling or disassembling anything. Cauon! Do not let the plates come into contact with metal cutlery or other metal objects to avoid damaging the non-sck coang. Open the lid of the appliance and pull the release buons for the upper and lower plates outwards respecvely (see arrow on release buon). 6. commissioning and use

This product is for domesc use only. Cauon: Never use the appliance with only one plate. Always make sure that 2 idencal plates are inserted.

1. You can smear the plates with a lile vegetable oil to ensure that you can

easily remove the leovers aer baking.

2. Close the lid and then lock the handle.

4. The appliance will then start to heat.

5. When the heang elements have reached their operang temperature, the

green „Ready“ light goes out and the appliance is ready for use.

6. Open the lid with the handle by releasing the latch rst.

7. Place the food on the lower plate.

8. Close the lid and then lock the handle.

9. If you are using the grill plates for sandwiches, make sure that you use the

handle to push them down.

10. While the appliance is on, the green light goes on and o as the thermostat

12. Stay close to the appliance and check regularly that the food is ready.

13. Unlock and li the handle to open the lid when the food is ready.25English

14. Remove the food from the plate. Always use an oven mi to remove the

food from the appliance.

15. Close the lid to store the heat for further use.

16. To switch o the appliance, remove the plug from the socket.

17. Let the appliance cool down completely.

7. cleaning and care

Important: Unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning. Never immer- se the appliance in water or any other liquid. Wipe the lid and base with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive soap or dishwashing liquid. Wipe them with a clean, so, damp cloth and dry them with a towel. Storage: Store the cleaned unit in a clean, dry place. Cauon! Never store the product when it is sll hot or plugged in. Cauon! Never wrap the cable ghtly around the unit, but use the cable wrap designed for this purpose. Do not subject the cable to much tension, otherwise it may kink and be damaged in the long run. Please do not use any aggressive or chemical cleaning agents!

The following recipes are only examples. Wae baer basic recipe 125 g so buer 100 g sugar 1 sachet vanilla sugar 3 eggs 250 g our 1 pinch of salt 1 teaspoon baking powder 200 ml milk26 English

1. Mix the buer with the sugar and vanilla sugar.

2. Sr in the eggs a lile at a me.

3. Mix the our, baking powder and salt together and add to the baer.

Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those described in the user manual. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally disabled persons. Any repairs or modicaons to the appliance not carried out by the original supplier will void any warranty and guarantee claims. The appliance should only be used by those who have read and understood this user manual. The specicaons of the appliance may be changed without any special prior nocaon.

10. Disposal instrucons

In line with the European WEEE direcve, electrical and electronic appliances should not be disposed of along with domesc waste.
