Important safety guidelines for this appliance
- Please read the following user manual carefully and ensure that you understand the instructions.
- Operate the appliance in accordance with the voltage specified on the appliance identification label.
- Never touch the surface or the interior of the appliance during operation. There is a risk of burns!
- In order to protect against electric shock, please do not immerse the cable, the plug or any part of the appliance in water or in any other liquid.
- Supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by children or being used in the vicinity of children.
- Remove the plug from the power socket when the appliance is not in use or when you intend to clean it.

- Do not use this appliance with a damaged cable or plug, or when in a faulty condition. If the power cord is damaged, it has to be replaced by the manufacturer, a customer service agency or an adequately qualified person.
- Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces. Do not allow the power cord to hang over the edge of a table.
- The appliance should not be kept or used on or near hot surfaces (such as hotplates) or open gas flames.
- Use the product only for intended applications.
- Use the appliance only for baking waffles.
- Therefore, never place the appliance close to or below flammable materials. The appliance has to be under
constant supervision when in operation.
- Using accessories which are not recommended by the manufacturer of the appliance may lead to injuries.
- Always keep the appliance on a flat and heat-resistant surface.
- Immediately remove the power plug from the power socket if you notice smoke or fire!
- Do not use this appliance with external timers or separate remote controls.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- This appliance may be used by children above the age of 8 years and by persons with impaired physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, only if they are supervised or have been instructed about the use of the appliance and have understood the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenanceshould not be performed by children.
- Keep the appliance and the power cord out of the reach of children below 8 years of age.
- Do not use the waffle maker outdoors.

3. Initial use
Note: When using the appliance for the first time, there may be a burning smell when the heating elements heat up. This is not a hazard or a defect. When using the appliance for the first time, wait until it has heated up and the smell has disappeared. It is advisable to use the appliance without dough.
Take the appliance out of the package and remove all the packaging material. Wipe the heating plates of the waffle maker using a slightly damp cloth.

Caution! Before cleaning the heating plates, make sure that the appliance is not connected to the mains!

5. Commissioning and use
First proceed as described in Section "3 Initial commissioning". Lightly grease the baking plates of the waffle maker on the inside. Connect the power cord to a properly wired power socket. The POWER LED starts glowing
Before you start baking, wait till the appliance is preheated. The appliance is preheated when the green "READY LED" starts glowing.
For hygienic reasons we advise you not to consume, but to dispose of the first waffle baked used this appliance.
- Open the lid using the handle.
- Put the waffle batter in the centre of the lower baking plate.
- Spread the batter evenly on the plate. We advise you to use a heat-resistant spatula as a tool.
- Close the appliance lid using the handle.
- Select the desired browning using the degree of browning dial. The following chapter (6. Adjusting the degree of browning) can be used for assistance.
- Once the waffle meet your requirements and the baking is finished, open the appliance lid and remove the waffle from the appliance.

Caution! Please do not use metal objects to remove the waffle. This can damage the non-stick coating!
7. Finally disconnect the plug from the mains socket.
6. Adjusting the degree of browning
The "Degree of browning dial" allows you to specify the duration after which the waffle maker switches off automatically. The longer the appliance is switched on, the darker will be the waffle at the end of the browning time.

7. Cleaning and Care
Before cleaning the waffle maker, unplug it completely from the mains by removing the power plug. Wait until the appliance has cooled down completely. Clean only the surface with a slightly damp cloth. Never use a metal polish for this purpose! Do not immerse the appliance in water under any circumstances!
Please do not use any aggressive or chemical cleaning agents!
8. Sample recipes
The following recipes are only samples.
Basic waffle recipe
125g soft butter
100 g sugar
1 packet of Vanilla sugar
3 eggs
250 g flour
1 pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder
200 ml milk
- Mix the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar
- Now add the eggs and mix
- Mix the flour, baking powder and salt together and mix them with the dough
- Then add the milk
- Then bake the waffles directly in the maker.
Belgian waffle
1 kg flour
1 pinch of salt
3 packets of vanilla sugar
7 eggs
600g of melted butter
2 cubes of fresh yeast
650g of crystal sugar
1 cup of lukewarm milk
1 cup of water
1. Add the flour with the vanilla sugar in a bowl and mix the ingredients thoroughly.
2. Crumble the yeast and dissolve it in lukewarm milk.
3. Add the eggs, milk (including yeast) and the melted butter to the flour and mix it properly. (approximately 1 minute)
4. Cover the dough and allow it to rise for half an hour in a warm place.
5. Then mix the 650g crystal sugar to the dough.
6. Then bake the waffles directly in the waffle maker.

Please do not try to open the appliance to carry out repairs or modifications. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. The appliance is not waterproof, therefore please use it only in dry surroundings. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Do not expose the appliance to high temperatures.
Do not expose the appliance to sudden changes in temperature or strong vibrations, as this could damage the electronic components. Check the appliance for damage before using it. The appliance should not be used if it has been subject to impact or has been damaged in any other manner. Please comply with the local regulations and restrictions. Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those described in the user manual. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally disabled persons. Any repairs or modifications to the appliance not carried out by the original supplier will void any warranty and
guarantee claims. The appliance should only be used by those who have read and understood this user manual. The specifications of the appliance may be changed without any special prior notification.
10. Disposal instructions
In line with the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic appliances should not be disposed of along with domestic waste.
