MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE WASHING MACHINE

USING THE WASHING MACHINE

1. Open the door2. Load the washing in the drumand close the door.Warning: Do not overloadthe machine. It is notadvisable to wash itemsthat absorb large quantitiesof water such as carpets.3. Add a low-suds detergent andsoftener designed forautomatic washing machinesin the respectivecompartments of thedetergent drawer (see chapter“USE OF DETERGENTS”).4. Close the detergent drawer.Do not open the drawer whilethe machine is working as thismay cause water to spill out. WASH CYCLE (follow these instructions and the washing machine will run the selected wash cycle)5. Press the on button (G); theled corresponding to the lastprogram selected will light up.6. Rotate the programmer knob(P) to select the requiredprogramme and temperatureaccording to the type of fabricto wash (see: “PROGRAMMETABLES”)7. Select the required spin speedby rotating the relative knob (H) (see "VARIABLE SPIN").

START BUTTONAfter selecting the requiredprogramme, press this button tostart the wash cycle Button (L) willlight up to indicate the wash cyclehas started.Warning!! only use thisfunction if strictly necessaryand then only if theprogramme to reset has beenrunning for a few minutes.Before opening the door aftera reset, wait 2 minutes for thelocking mechanism to release.PROGRAMMER KNOB “STOP”The stop function resets thewashing machine. If, for any OPTIONAL FUNCTIONS PREWASHPress this button and the machinewill perform a prewash at themaximum temperature of 40°C.This function can only be used onthe “COTTON” and“SYNTHETICS” programmes.N.B. When this option is used,the detergent must also be addedto the appropriate prewashcompartment. EXTRA RINSE The washing machine has beendesigned to reduce waterconsumption to a minimum. Invery soft water areas, or in thecase where detergent residuesare noticed at the end of the washcycle, pressing this button will addone more rinse to the programme.NB. The use of this function dependson the type of programme selected.Consequently, if the washprogramme does not include thisfunction, the button cannot beenabled (see PROGRAMMETABLE”).The figure alongside shows the 5main functions of a PREWASH,WASH, RINSE, SPIN, END washcycle:Each of these functions will behighlighted during the wash by a led. In this way, the user is constantlyaware of the progress of the wash.After the spin phase, the

corresponding led will stay lit forapproximately 2 minutes. This isthe time lapse necessary for thedoor release mechanism to work,after which the END led will light up. At this point, press the On/Offbutton, open the door and removethe washing.

INTELLIGENT LOAD RECOGNITION SYSTEM The electronic washing machine is equipped with a special system that automatically recognises the amount of washing loaded in the drum.The machine can thus regulate the amount of water to use for the wash and proportion the wash time accordingly, thus saving water, time and energy. In the case where the amount of washing is less than the maximum recommended load (see technical characteristics table), the quantity of water used for the wash will be reduced by 2 litres for each kg less of washing. In the case of a half-load or less, the machine will automatically carry out one rinse less than programmed. N.B.
