INSTRUCTIONS FOR BREWING COFFEE
Requirements for aromatic coffee
If possible, use freshly ground coffee powder for the optimum
flavour.
- Experiment with the amount of coffee powder until you find the flavour you prefer.
- Try various different levels of grinding fineness for the coffee powder. The grinding fineness for the coffee powder influences the aroma of the coffee.
- Fill the water tank with the amount fresh water required for the desired number of cups.
- Clean and descale the appliance at regular intervals. A dirty and/or scaled appliance impairs the aroma.
- Although the hot plate on which the coffee jug stands can keep the coffee hot for some time, we recommend that you pour brewed coffee into a thermos jug and switch off the appliance.
Preparation
- When the appliance is in operation, the coffee jug (7) must be under the filter compartment (10) and the lid of the coffee jug must be fitted correctly. The lid of the coffee jug presses the drip protector (9) upwards, and the coffee can flow from the filter through the lid into the coffee jug.
- The drip protector (9) prevents water running out of the filter when the coffee jug (7) is removed from the appliance
Note: During the brewing process however, the coffee jug (7) should not be removed from the appliance for more than 30 seconds, otherwise the filter will fill up and the coffee will overflow.
- When the brewing process has been completed, the "cup" symbol (20) in the top left of the display starts flashing.
