The scale incorporates, among others, the following characteristics: High resistance plastic base with stainless steel electrodes. Four high precision sensors. Backlit multifunction LCD display Digits of great size. Touch buttons Measurement of weight, percentage of body fat, water, muscle mass and bone mass. Memory for 10 users 3 units of weight: kilograms, pounds or stones. Automatic connection and auto-off. Indication of overweight and low batteries Power supply: 4 x 1.5 V AAA batteries This device will allow you to measure your weight, as well as the percentage of water, body fat, muscle mass and bone mass, with maximum precision without having to leave the house. The scale detects even the most insignificant weight changes, not like the mechanical house scales that are less sensitive. The ease of climbing and the convenience of measurement make this scale ideal for those looking for a precise and easy to use device. The scale incorporates a memory to store the personal data of up to 10 users and be able to perform the calculation in a comfortable and simple way.3

For precise measurements, place the scale on a floor whose surface is solid, stable and horizontal. For measuring the percentage of body fat, percentage of water, muscle mass and bone mass, this device uses measurement method is known as bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA), a factor that is based on the relationship between body weight and associated body water percentages, as well as age, gender and height. The electrodes analyze the soles of the feet, but they may not be adequate (since it could lead to errors in the reading and interpretation of the data) in the following persons: - Children under 10 years old and adults over 85 years old. - People with symptoms of fever, edema or osteoporosis. - People undergoing treatment for dialysis. - People who use pacemakers - People who take cardiovascular medications. - Pregnant women. - Athletes who perform more than 5 hours of training per day. - People with a heartbeat less than 60 beats / minute. 1. Remove the lid of the battery compartment located at the base of the
2. Insert four 1.5 V AAA batteries, respecting the indicated polarity.
3. Replace the battery compartment cover.
With the scale on, press the selector button of the weight unit located at the base of the scale, each press of this button will change the unit of weight kilograms (Kg), pounds (lb) or stones (st). WEIGHT MEASUREMENT Gently climb the scale (for maximum precision, do not move until the screen shows a stable reading), the scale will automatically turn on and start reading the weight. When the reading is finished, the screen will show the flashing digits for a moment and then display the measured weight for a few seconds. If you want to make a new measurement, get off the scale and go back up. The scale will turn off automatically after a few seconds, thus prolonging the life of the batteries. MEASUREMENT OF PERCENTAGE BODY FAT, WATER, MUSCLE MASS
The electrodes are located on the surface of the scale to measure the percentage of body fat, water, muscle mass and bone mass. That is why it is essential that during this measurement you remain barefoot. Before carrying out the measurement you must first memorize the personal data (gender, age and height), proceed as indicated below: Saving of personal data
1. With the scale off, touch the SET selection control with the fingertip and the
display will flash the last selected memory position " P0 ... P9 ", with the fingertip touch the selection controls ▲ or ▼ and choose the number of desired memory (P0 ... P9).
2. Touch the SET selection control with the fingertip to access the genre
selection menu, the corresponding icon will flash.
3. Touch the ▲ or ▼ selection controls with your fingertip and choose the
gender, man ( ) or woman ( ).
4. Touch the SET selection control again with your fingertip and the display

(between 10 and 85 years).
6. Touch the SET selection control again with the finger theme and the
display will show the unit of measurement centimeters or inches as well as the numeric digits flashing.
7. With the fingertip, touch the ▲ or ▼ selection controls and choose the
height in centimeters or feet (between 75 and 225 cm or 2.6 to 7.5 ft).
8. To finish and memorize the data, touch the SET selection control with the
fingertip and the display will show the digits " 0.0 ", after a few seconds the scale will turn off automatically.
9. Repeat steps 1 through 8 to store the data of other users.
During the process of saving personal data: If 30 seconds pass without touching the fingertip any control, the scale will turn off and personal data entered until then will not be memorized. Once the data is stored, to measure the percentage of body fat, water, etc. follow the following steps:
1. With the scale off, touch the SET selection control with the fingertip and the
display will flash the last selected memory position " P0 ... P9 ", with the fingertip touch the selection buttons ▲ or ▼ and choose the number of desired memory.
2. The screen will show the personal data stored and after a few seconds the
screen will show the digits " 0.0 ".
3. With bare feet and without any type of garment (socks, stockings, etc.),
gently climb on the scale. The feet should be located on top of the electrodes. To obtain maximum precision, do not move until the entire measurement process is finished.
4. The scale will perform the weight measurement and then begin the process
of measuring body fat percentage, water, etc. during this time the screen will show the digit " 0 " moving.
5. After the measurement, the screen will show the weight and will repeat
three consecutive times the percentage of body fat along with the nutritional status, the percentage of water in the body, muscle mass and bone mass, the data obtained can be compared with the table of the following section.7 Nutritional status and percentage of body fat The percentage of body fat indicates the nutritional status of the person considering the following factors: Weight, height, age and gender. This percentage is the first step to know the nutritional status of any person and indicates if it is below, within or above the established weight as normal for its physical size. To check your nutritional status and body fat percentage (approximate typical values), compare the measurements obtained with the table in the next section. Percentage of water in the body The water content in the body is closely related to weight, gender and age. There is an inverse relationship between what we weigh and the water our organism has: we have less water the greater our weight. This means that obese people have less water in their body than thin people. Age also influences the amount of water in the body, as we go through years this decreases. 70% of a newborn's weight is water, in adults almost 60% and in the elderly 55%. The percentage of water in the body of an adult woman ranges between 38% and 75% and in an adult man between 36% and 75%. Muscle mass index The body mass index varies depending on a series of parameters such as muscle mass and bone structure. People who practice sports have more muscle mass than sedentary people and, therefore, may have a higher body mass index without being overweight. The table shows the muscle mass index for a person of normal physical constitution. Percentage of bone mass The amount of bone mass of a person increases gradually from birth to the maximum at 25 years of age approx. Then come some years of stability and subsequently the bone mass progressively decreases. From 45 years of age, men lose between 8 and 10% of bone mass per decade, while women can lose up to 12% per decade.8
INTERPRETATION OF THE OBTAINED DATA
To check your nutritional status, percentage of body fat, percentage of water in the body, percentage of muscle mass and percentage of bone mass (approximate typical values) compare the measurements obtained, with the following tables:
INDICATIONS OR WARNINGS ON DISPLAY
Operating error message When the display shows the digits "- - - -" it will indicate a malfunction and should be checked by the technical staff. Contact your nearest MX ONDA Technical Service Center or distributor. Overweight indication When you exceed the weight limit of the scale 150 Kg / 330 lb., the display will show the indication of overload " EEEE ", to avoid damage to the scale, get off immediately. Indication low batteries When the display shows " Lo " when the scale is turned on, it indicates that the batteries are exhausted and need to be replaced. Indication out of range percentage When the display shows this " Err " indication, the percentage of body fat content is above or below the limits of the measurement scale.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long period of time, remove the batteries and store them in a cool place. Do not try to disassemble the batteries, do not short them and never heat them or throw them into the fire. Batteries contain pollutants from the environment, so, once the life of them is exhausted, DO NOT throw them away, put them in the right place for later recycling.
