USER MANUAL MXPB2440 Mx Onda
Waste electrical products must not be disposed of with household waste. This equipment should be taken to your local recycling centre for safe treatment. Before disposing of the product remove the batteries from it. This product complies with European Directives RoHS (2011/65/UE), on the restriction of use of certain dangerous substances in electrical and electronic appliances, transposed to the Spanish legislation by means of Real Decree 208/2005. INTRODUCTION The electronic bathroom scale model MX-PB2440 is a device of elegant design and refined lines that offers greater precision and functionality than traditional scales. The scale incorporates, among others, the following characteristics: Base with stainless steel surface Four high precision sensors. Environmental thermometer Low consumption liquid crystal display with large digits. Automatic connection and auto-off. 2 units of weight: kilograms or pounds.
BEFORE USING THE SCALE
Read these instructions carefully and keep them for later use. Packaging materials such as plastic bags, polystyrene foam, etc. They should not be left within the reach of children, as they are a potential source of danger. After removing the packaging, check that the appliance is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance; Contact the technical assistance staff. For precise measurements, place the scale on a floor whose surface is solid, stable and horizontal. Before using the scale for the first time, you must remove the protective plastic sheet from the batteries. SECURITY MEASURES This device is designed for home use only. In case of professional use, improper use or non-compliance with the instructions, the manufacturer accepts no responsibility and the guarantee will be invalid. To reduce the risk of accidents (slippage or possible falls), DO NOT use the scale with wet feet or if there is water on the glass base, do not stand too close to the edges. If the appliance has been dropped or if it does not work properly, refrain from using it and do not attempt to disassemble or repair it. Contact your nearest MX ONDA Technical Service Center or distributor.3 PREPARATION To insert or replace the batteries, follow the steps below: - Open the lid of the battery compartment located in the base. - To remove the batteries, use a pointed object to slide the battery towards the electrical contact (see figure 1), then pull it outwards. To place the batteries (type CR2032) with the positive (+) terminal facing up, insert the battery towards the electrical contact (see figure 2), then lightly press the battery until it is retained by the plastic tabs. - Replace the battery compartment cover.
Fig. 1 Fig. 2 With the scale on, press the selector button of the weight unit located at the base of the scale, each time you press this button you will change the unit of weight Kg (kilograms) or Lb (pounds). To avoid errors in the measurement of the ambient temperature, when you move the scale from one room to another, you must wait a while for the thermometer of the scale to measure the temperature of the new room.
Gently climb the scale (for maximum precision, do not move until the screen shows a stable reading), the scale will automatically turn on and start reading the weight. After reading the weight, the screen will show the ambient temperature of the room where the scale is located. The scale will turn off automatically after a few seconds, thus prolonging the life of the batteries. When the weight limit of the scale is exceeded, the display will show the
EEEE " overload indication.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Do not try to disassemble the batteries, do not short and never heat them or throw them into the fire. Do not mix new batteries with used batteries.4 If you do not intend to use the appliance for a long period of time, remove the batteries and store them in a cool place. Batteries contain pollutants from the environment, so, once the life of them is exhausted, DO NOT throw them away, put them in the right place for later recycling. Clean the scale with a soft cloth moistened with water or a mild detergent. DO NOT use abrasive chemicals to clean it. Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperature and humidity, direct sunlight, water or dust.
