- Ensure that the grill and base stand are placed in a safe and stable position.
Important safety instructions
The appliance should only be connected to a socket installed in accordance with the regulations.
This appliance is also designed for outdoor use. It must therefore be operated
with an additional earth-leakage circuit-breaker at a rated tripping current not exceeding 30mA .
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label.
The power cord should be regularly examined for any signs of damage. In the event of such damage being found, the appliance must no longer be used.
In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel, including the replacement of the power cord. If repairs are needed, please contact our customer service department by phone or email (see appendix).
The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- Caution: Do not, under any circumstances, use charcoal or any other solid or liquid fuel to operate the grill.
- Do not put liquids in the grill.
Caution: This symbol indicates that the grill surface and accessible housing surfaces heat up during operation. Do not touch any part of the appliance except the grip recesses during and after operation.
Before cleaning, disconnect the appliance from the mains and let the grill cool down.
- To avoid the risk of electric
shock, the main unit with heating element and power cord must not cleaned with or immersed in liquid.
Clean the grill plate with hot soapy water; dry thoroughly afterwards. Ensure that the grill plate is absolutely dry before the grill is used again.
- For detailed information on cleaning the appliance, please refer to the section Cleaning and care.

- Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from children – these are a potential source of danger, e.g. of suffocation.
- Caution: Do not, under any circumstances, cover the grill plate completely with aluminium foil, barbecue dishes or other items, as the resulting build-up of heat could cause irreparable damage to the grill.
Before the appliance is used, the main body as well as any attachment fitted should be checked thoroughly for any defects.
