APPLIANCE ITSELF. Polti S.p.A. declines all liability for any accident deriving from any improper use of this appliance. Only usage as detailed in this instruction manual constitutes correct usage. Any use which does not comply with these instructions will invalidate the warranty.
- Never disassemble or carry out maintenance on the appliance apart from that indicated in this manual. In the event of a fault or malfunction, do not try and repair the appliance yourself. Incorrect use or a lack of respect for the instructions herein may lead to serious accidents. Always contact Authorised Service Centres.
- The appliance is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
- Keep the appliance and the power cable out of the reach of children under 8 years of age.
- Keep all packaging out of the reach of children; it is not a toy. Keep the plastic bag out of the reach of children to avoid risk of suffocation.
- This appliance is intended exclusively for indoor domestic use.
- Always unplug the appliance if it is not in use and before any preparation, maintenance or cleaning operation. ENGLISH | 16 |In order to reduce the risk of accidents, including: fires, electrocution, personal injury and scalding, both during use and during preparation, maintenance and storage, always take the fundamental precautions listed in this manual.
- The earthing system and highly sensitive residual-current circuit breaker, complete with magnetothermic cut-out for your domestic system, guarantee safe use of electrical appliances. Therefore, for your own safety, check that the electrical system to which the battery charger is connected complies with current laws.
- The battery charger is used to charge the batteries located inside the appliance. Do not use the appliance with the battery charger connected.
- Do not connect the battery charger to the mains if the voltage does not correspond with that of the domestic electrical circuit in use.
- Do not overload the sockets with adaptors and/or transformers. Only connect the battery charger to a single socket with current that is compatible with the supplied plug.
- Electrical extension leads that are unsuitable for the power rating or which are not compliant with law may overheat and possibly lead to short-circuiting, fire, power outage or damage to the equipment. Only use certified extensions, suitable for the power rating, that support at least 10A.
- To remove the battery charger from the socket, do not pull the power cable, but hold the plug itself to avoid damage to the plug and the cable.
- Do not pull or jerk the battery charger cable or expose it to stress (twisting, crushing or stretching). Keep the battery charger cable away from hot and/or sharp surfaces and elements. Avoid squashing the battery charger cord in doors or windows. Do not pull the battery charger cable tight around corners. Avoid stepping on the battery charger cable. Do not walk over the battery charger cable. Do not ENGLISH | 17 |wind the battery charger cable around the appliance, especially if the appliance is hot. Do not place the appliance on top of the charger cable; this can be dangerous.
- If the battery charger or the charger cable are damaged, they must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid any possible hazard.
- Do not use the battery charge barefoot and/or with wet body or feet.
- Do not install, charge or use the appliance outdoors or near containers full of water, e.g. sinks, bathtubs or swimming pools.
- Do not immerse the product and/or battery charger in water or in other liquids. In case of accidental immersion, do not use the product but immediately contact an authorized service centre.
- Do not insert objects into the battery contacts. RISKS DURING USE OF THE PRODUCT – INJURIES/SCALDING
- The product should not be used in areas where there is a danger of explosions or in the presence of toxic substances.
- Do not vacuum toxic substances, acids, solvents, pure alcohol or corrosive substances. Handle and remove dangerous sub- stances according to the indications provided by their manu- facturers.
- Do not vacuum explosive powders or liquids, hydrocarbons, open flames and or extremely hot objects.
- Keep all parts of your body away from the suction nozzle and from any moving or rotating parts.
- Do not use the vacuum function on people and/or animals.
- Use the special carry handle for transport. Do not pull the cable of the battery charger. Do not use the cable of the battery charger as a handle. Do not lift the appliance using the the cable of the battery charger.
- Do not position the product near sources of heat such as fireplaces, stoves and ovens.
- Do not obstruct the openings and grills on the product.
- Turn off the appliance before connecting the motorized brush.
- Do not expose the appliance, the battery charger or the battery to temperatures under 0°C or over 40°C. ENGLISH
| 18 |BATTERY USE / BATTERY CHARGE
- The appliance is only to be used with the power supply unit provided with the appliance
- During the recharging the appliance must only be connected to safe extra low voltage corresponding to the marking on the appliance.
- Before connecting the battery charger make sure that the mains voltage corresponds to that indicated on the plate data.
- If the appliance has not been used for a long time, before performing any maintenance or service, unplug the power cable from the mains electricity.
- The battery charger is used to charge the batteries located inside the appliance. Do not use the appliance with the battery charger connected.
- Do not attempt to use batteries that are broken.
- The battery used in this appliances must not be replaced by the user, but by the Polti authorized repairing center.
- Replacing the battery or the charger with a model different than the original could override the appliance’s integrated protection system.
- Do not heat/expose to sun/ or burn batteries; they may explode.
- Mechanically crushing or intentionally breaking the battery may cause an explosion.
- Do not expose the battery to extremely low air pressure (va- cuum conditions).
- Do not place batteries in the microwave oven or place the product near electromagnetic fields, such as an induction plate.
- The batteries must be removed from the appliance before its disposal (see section “Disposal of the battery”).
- The appliance must be disconnected from the supply mains when removing the battery.
- The battery is to be disposed of safely and fulfilling all requirements of EU Directive 2012/19/EU relating to end-life of electrical and electronic (WEEE Directive)". ENGLISH | 19 |ENGLISH | 20 |
CORRECT USE OF THE PRODUCT
This appliance is intended for internal home use as a vacuum of dry material, in accordan- ce with the descriptions and instructions con- tained in this manual. Please read these in- structions carefully and keep them. If this manual is lost, it can be consulted and/or downloaded from the website www.polti.com. Only vacuum domestic dirt. Do not vacuum up liquids. Do not use on debris or chalk, cement or resi- dues from building sites or brick laying. Do not use on earth and sand/soil, etc. Do not use on ash, soot and combustion resi- dues (fireplaces, barbecues, etc.). Do not use on printer, photocopier or fax to- ner and ink powder. Do not vacuum pointed, sharp or stiff objects. The appliance only functions correctly with the collector inserted, and complete with all its parts. Only usage as detailed in this instruction ma- nual constitutes correct usage. Any other use may damage the appliance and invalidate the warranty. POLTI S.p.A. reserves the right to make the aesthetic, technical and construction changes it deems necessary, without prior notice.
INFORMATION FOR USERS
Pursuant to European Directive 2012/19/EU, regarding electric and electronic appliances, this appliance must not be disposed of with domestic waste, but must be sent to an official collection facility. This appliance complies with EU Directive 2011/65/EU. The crossed-out bin symbol on the appliance indicates that, at the end of its useful lifespan, the product must be disposed of separately from other waste. Therefore, at the end of its life, the user must hand over the appliance to an appropriate collection centre for electric and electronic waste or, according to the legislation in force in the country, leave the used appliance with the distributor when buying a new product to replace it. Proper separate waste collection to facilitate the subsequent recycling, treatment and environmentally compatible disposal of the appliance helps to prevent negative effects on the environment and human health, and promotes recycling of the materials the product is made of. Unlawful disposal by the owner may result in the application of the administrative sanctions envisaged by current legislation. BATTERY DISPOSAL The batteries supplied contain substances which are potentially harmful to the environ- ment. Before disposing of the battery, make sure that it no longer has charge, leaving the ap- pliance to run until it turns off.

1.1 CHARGING THE APPLIANCE
The battery must be fully charged before the product can be used for the first time. - Make sure that the switch is off and connect the charger connector to the appliance
ATTENTION: Do not throw these items away with household waste: take them to an official collection centre.ENGLISH | 21 | plug(1). - Connect the charger plug to an easily acces- sible mains socket. - The red LED power/charging light will begin to flash. When the LED stops flashing (after about three hours), the appliance is charged and ready to be used (2).
Use the handy water sprayer to clean desired surfaces. - Fill the bottle with water or, if desired, non- foaming household glass cleaner . - Screw on the spray bottle and insert the cloth (3). - Turn the dispenser spout to the ON position. - Spray the surfaces to be cleaned from a di- stance of about 20 cm and wipe with the cloth. - After use, turn the dispenser spout to the OFF position.

4. GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Before performing any maintenance, make sure that the appliance is switched off and/or disconnected from the mains. To clean the outside of the appliance, use a damp cloth and tap water only. Clean the cleaning nozzle with running water, allowing it to dry completely before using it again. Do not use detergents of any kind. Follow the instructions on the label when wa- shing the cloth provided. Empty the dirt collection tank after every use. To clean the dirt collection tank, fill it with wa- ter and rinse. Once the battery runs out, the appliance will stop working, and the LED power/charging light will turn off. It is possible to clean up to 80 m2 of surface with a fully charged battery. For the best results, do this over a sink. ATTENTION: If the maximum water level (8) is exceeded, water can leak from the vents. Always empty the tank before the maximum water level is reached. It is normal for the charger to heat up during charging.5. TROUBLESHOOTING

ENGLISH | 22 |WARRANTY This appliance is for domestic use only and is guaranteed for two years from the date of purchase against any defects present at the time the goods are handed over; the date of purchase must be proven via a proof of purchase document valid for tax purposes and issued by the seller. For repairs, the appliance must be accompanied by proof of purchase. This warranty does not affect the consumer rights deriving from European Directive 99/44/EC as regards some aspects of sale and warranty of consumer goods, rights which the consumer should uphold with respect to the seller. This warranty is valid in the countries which adhere to European Directive 99/44/EC. For other countries, local regulations on warranties apply.
WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS
During the warranty, Polti guarantees free repair of a product with a manufacturing or factory defect and, therefore, the customer is not liable to pay for any work or materials. In case of irreparable defects, Polti may replace the product free of charge. To avail of the warranty, the customer should visit one of the Polti Authorised Service Centres with proof of purchase from the seller valid for tax purposes and bearing the date of purchase of the product. Without proof of purchase and the relative date of purchase, the work will be charged for. Store the proof of purchase document safely for the whole duration of the warranty.
WHAT THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
- Any fault or damage not deriving from a manufacturing defect.
- Any fault due to improper use or use other than that indicated in the instruction booklet, an integral part of the product sales contract.
- Any defect resulting from force majeure (fires, short circuits) or caused by third parties (tampering).
- Damage caused by the use of non-original Polti parts, and repairs or modifications performed by staff or service centres not authorised by Polti.
- Damage caused by the customer.
- Parts (filter, brush, hose, etc.) damaged by use (consumable goods) or normal wear and tear.
- Any damage caused by limescale.
- Defects resulting from a lack of mainte- nance/cleaning in accordance with manu- facturer’s instructions and/or using wa- ter/substances other than those specifically indicated (see the WHICH WATER TO USE section).
- Assembly of non-original Polti accessories or those that have been modified or which are not suitable for the appliance. Inappropriate use and/or use not compliant with the instructions for use and any other warnings or indications contained in this manual invalidates the warranty. Polti takes no responsibility for any direct or indirect damage to people, objects or animals caused by non-compliance with the instructions indicated in this instruction booklet, regarding warnings for use and product maintenance.
