How to empty the bag of the Forzaspira CS 200 vacuum?

To empty the bag, open the front compartment by pressing the release button. Remove the disposable bag and replace it with a new one (Polti model 200). Close the lid making sure it clicks into place.

How to clean the HEPA filter?

The HEPA filter is washable. Remove it from the appliance and rinse it with lukewarm water. Let it dry completely (24 hours) before putting it back. Never use chemical products.

What to do if the vacuum loses power?

First check if the bag is full or the filter is clogged. Clean the filter and change the bag if necessary. Also check that there is no obstruction in the hose or brush.

Can I use the vacuum on parquet floors?

Yes, the Forzaspira CS 200 comes with a special parquet nozzle. Use it on hard floors to avoid scratches. You can also adjust the power if necessary.

The vacuum stops after a few minutes, why?

This may be due to overheating. The appliance has thermal protection. Let it cool down for 30 minutes then check that the filter and bag are not clogged.

How to change the vacuum bag?

Open the compartment, remove the full bag, insert a new bag (ref. Polti 200) pushing it all the way in, then close. Make sure to use original bags.

The cord no longer retracts automatically, what to do?

Gently pull the cord then press the rewind pedal. If the problem persists, check that the cord is not twisted or stuck. Gradual manual unwinding may help.

Where can I find spare parts?

Spare parts (filters, bags, brushes) are available from Polti customer service or on the official website. Use the model number Forzaspira CS 200.

The vacuum makes an abnormal noise, what to do?

Immediately stop the appliance. Check that no object is stuck in the brush or hose. If the noise persists, contact after-sales service.

The crossed-out wastebasket symbol on the appliance means that at the end of its useful lifespan, the product must be disposed of separately from ordinary household wastes.

PREPARATION/USE

• Remove the appliance from the packaging, checking that the product is whole and that all the parts are there.
  ♦ Insert the suction opening (A3) of the flexible hose (A) into the connection (2), and turn it clockwise (Fig. 1). To remove it from the appliance, turn the suction opening of the flexible hose (A) anti-clockwise (Fig. 2) and pull it out.
  ◆ Unwind the power supply cable (11) and insert the plug into a suitable power socket.
  ◆ Press the ON/OFF switch (7) (Fig. 3) to start suction.
  To adjust suction, turn the knob (6) to the desired position (Fig. 4). We suggest minimum level for curtains, medium-low for filled furniture and high for floors and hard surfaces (ceramic, marble etc.).

With the manual suction regulator (A2) it is possible to intervene promptly in case of accidental suction (i.e. curtains), reducing the suction power. Move the regulator to uncover the hole located on the handle, thus reducing suction (Fig. 5).

◆ To end suction, press the ON/OFF switch again (7).

ACCESSORIES HOLDER

The lance (D) and the bristle nozzle (F) are kept in the accessory holder. To access it, press the button (3) and lift the lid (4) (Fig. 6).

USING ACCESSORIES

Accessories may be connected directly to the hose (A) or to the telescopic tube (B) (Fig. 7-8).

Using the telescopic tube (B)

The length of the telescopic tube can be adjusted by pressing the button (B1) in the direction of the arrow.

Using the universal brush (C)

Connect the brush to the telescopic tube (B).

To vacuum hard floors, use the switch (C2) to select the bristles-extended position.

To vacuum rugs and carpeting use the switch (C2) to select the no-bristles position.

Lance (D)

This lance is suitable for thorough cleaning of the more difficult-to-reach places, like skirting-boards, sofa gaps, armchairs, upholstered furniture, car seats.

Bristle nozzle (F)

The small nozzle is recommended for removing dust from upholstered surfaces such as the joints of sofas, armchairs, mattresses, car upholstery, etc.

AUTOMATIC CABLE WINDER

Before starting the automatic cable rewind, using the button (10), make sure that the power plug is disconnected from the mains. We recommend guiding the cable during this operation.

PUTTING THE APPLIANCE AWAY

It is possible to replace the appliance by resting the brush (G) with the tube (B) in the parking housing (9) (Fig. 10-11).

CARE OF YOUR APPLIANCE

• Before attempting any maintenance operation, always disconnect the appliance from the mains.
• To clean the body of the appliance, simply use a moist cloth. Do not use solvents or detergents which may harm the body material.

DUST COLLECTION BAG BAG REPLACEMENT

When the dust-collection bag (F) is full, the indicator (5) will turn red (Fig. 12).

Note: The indicator (5) does not work with the suction control (6) set on minimum.

The fill level of the bag must be checked with the suction control (6) at maximum suction power.

♦ Turn the appliance off and disconnect it.
◆ Press the button (12) and lift the lid (4) (Fig. 13 - 14).
◆ Pull out the full dust-collection bag (Fig. 15) and throw it away.
◆ Insert a new dust-collection bag, reversing the process (Fig. 16).
◆ Close the lid again.

Note: If the dust-collection bag is not inserted, the lid will not close.

The dust-collection bags can be purchased at all major household-appliance shops or online at www.polti.com.

MOTOR AIR-FILTER CLEANING

♦ Turn the appliance off and disconnect it.
♦ Press the button (12) and lift the lid (4).
♦ Pull out the dust-collection bag.
♦ Pull the motor filter out as shown in the figure (17 - 18).
◆ After having washed it with water, dry thoroughly. If the filter is torn, replace it.
♦ Replace everything repeating the steps above in reverse.

REMOVING AND CLEANING THE HEPA FILTER

♦ Lift the filter grill (8) and remove the filter (Fig. 12).
◆ Rinse the filter under cold running water.
◆ After washing, shake it gently to remove any residual dirt and excess water.

ATTENTION

Do not dry the filter using heat. Wait 24 hours before replacing the filters in the appliance.
♦ Replace torn filters.
◆ The filters should be cleaned every 4 months.
♦ Do not clean the filters with tools which could damage them.
♦ Do not use detergents, do not rub the filter, and do not wash it in a dishwasher.

WARRANTY CONDITIONS

For repairs, the appliance must be accompanied by proof of purchase.

Polti products are guaranteed to the original purchaser for two years from the date of purchase as shown on a valid receipt issued by the seller.

This guarantee does not affect the consumer's rights under European Directive 99/44/CE regarding certain aspects of the sale and guarantee of consumer goods; consumers should address claims under these provisions to the retailer where they purchased the goods.

This guarantee is effective in countries where European Directive 99/44/CE has been implemented. Local guarantee legislation applies in all other countries.

WHAT THE WARRANTY COVERS

During the guarantee period, Polti will repair products with defects in workmanship or materials at no charge to the customer for either labour or materials.

In case of irreparable defects, Polti S.p.A. may replace the product free of charge.

A minor patent defect for which it was not possible, or is excessively expensive, to repair or replace does not give the right to terminate the contract.

To have work performed under this guarantee, consumers must contact an Authorised Polti Technical Assistance Centre. The consumer must present a valid receipt issued by the seller at the time of purchase as evidence of the date of purchase; without proof of purchase and the relative date, the work will be charged. Therefore, please store your receipt carefully for the entire warranty period.

WHAT THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

The warranty is subject to limitations and does not cover defects due to improper use or use other than that indicated in the instruction booklet which forms an integral part of the sales contract of the product. The warranty does not cover defects resulting from force majeure (fires, short circuits) or caused by third parties (tampering). The warranty does not cover damages caused by the use of non-original Polti parts, repairs or alterations performed by staff or service centres not authorised by Polti.

The guarantee does not cover parts that are damaged by wear or subject to normal wear (consumables such as filters, brushes, etc.). The guarantee doesn't cover any possible damage caused by li-mescale. Polti will accept no responsibility for any injury to people or animals or damage to objects directly or indirectly resulting from failure to follow the instructions provided in the instruction booklet, in particular the warnings and product maintenance instructions.

The warranty does not cover the assembly of accessories that have been modified or are not adapted to the appliance.
