USER MANUAL 630 ARIETE

This appliance is made in conformity with appropriate European Regulations in force, to protect the user wherever possible from potential hazards. Even if you are familiar with this type of appliance, carefully read this manual before use. Only use this appliance for the purpose it is designed for in order to prevent accidents and damage. Keep this manual close by for future consultation. If you should decide to give this appliance to other people, remember to also include these instructions.

INTENDEDUSE

You can use the appliance to prepare max 1 kg of ice cream, dense, creamy and always fresh. You can prepare tasty and healthy ice cream, fruit sorbet, everything with the convenience of one appliance.

Any other use of the appliance is not intended by the Manufacturer who does not accept any responsibility for damages of any kind caused by improper use of the appliance itself. Improper use also results in any form of warranty being forfeited.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

• The appliance has been designed for home use only and must not be used for commercial or industrial purposes.
• We decline any responsibility resulting from misuse or any use other than those covered in this booklet.
• It is recommended to keep the original packaging, because the free repair service does not cover failures caused by inadequate packaging of the product when shipped to an authorized Service Center.
• The appliance complies with Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 of 27/10/2004 on the materials in contact with food.
• This appliance can be used by children older than 8 years and persons who have reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, only if they are monitored by a responsible person or if they have received and understood the instructions and dangers which may arise during the appliance use.
  Children shall not play with the appliance or its components.
• The cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children under 8 years without the supervision of an adult
• Do not leave the packaging near children because it is potentially dangerous.
• In the event that this appliance is to be disposed of, it is suggested that the power cord is cut off. It is also recommended that all potentially dangerous components including the power cord are rendered harmless to prevent personal injury. Do not let children play with the appliance or its components.
• Unplug the appliance when it is not being used and before all maintenance and cleaning operations.
• Always turn off the appliance and unplug the charger before filling the bowl with the ingredients. Do not go past the MAX level.

• Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.

• Never put live parts into contact with water: Risk of short circuit and/or electric shock.

• Never leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to the power supply.
• The appliance must not be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or leaks of water. Do not use the charger if the power cord or the plug are damaged, or if the appliance is faulty. To prevent any accident, all repairs, including the replacement of the power cord, must be carried out by an Ariete Service Centre or by Ariete authorised qualified personnel.
• WARNING. Make sure the appliance is turned off before removing the motor body from the lid and before all maintenance and cleaning operations.
• Do not lift the appliance by the motor body or by the closing/opening hooks of the bowl. Lift the appliance holding it under the bowl.
• Make sure the lid is correctly positioned on the bowl before turning on the appliance.
• Do not operate the appliance when empty.
• Do not activate the mixing paddle near to persons, pets or objects.
• Children and pregnant women should avoid to consume the ice cream if it contains raw eggs.
• Never put the appliance on or near gas stoves or electric hotplates.
• Using accessories not recommended or not supplied by the manufacturer of the appliance may entail risks of fire, electric shock or injuries to people.
• Do not expose the appliance to outdoor elements (rain, sun, etc.).

PRELIMINARY PHASES FOR USE

Starting the appliance

Before connecting the charger to the electric grid check that the voltage reported on the label under the charger corresponds to that of the local grid.

This appliance only charges with the approved adaptor of DK5-050-0600-EU.

Warning!

Do not put the appliance or the charger near or over hot electric stoves or burners or near a microwave oven.

Avoid that the charger cable sticks out of the table or the working plan. Prevent children from grabbing the cord, in this way tipping over the appliance.

1 Open the opening/closing hooks of the bowl (J) to unlock the lid from the bowl (Fig. 2).
2 Lift the lid with the motor body and the mixing paddle (Fig. 3).
3 Remove the mixing paddle (Fig. 4).
4 To remove the motor body (C), push the release buttons (B) and lift the motor body (Fig. 5).
5 Remove the motor shaft (Fig. 6).

Warning!

Before using the appliance wash the bowl, the motor shaft, the mixing paddle and the lid with water and detergent.

Make sure that all the parts are completely dry before using the appliance.

Never immerse the motor body and the charger in water or other liquids.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Warning!

Before using the appliance for the first time charge it completely.

Before connecting the appliance to the charger check that the starting button is not turned on.

When you connect the appliance to the charger the ON/OFF button control light flashes to indicate that the appliance is charging. When the ON/OFF button control light is fixed, the appliance is charged. Disconnect the charger from the socket. Disconnect the charger from the motor body.

1 Choose the desired ice cream recipe and prepare the ingredients in another bowl. Mix the ingredients.
2 Open the opening/closing hooks of the bowl (J) to unlock the lid from the bowl (Fig. 2).
3 Lift the lid with the mixing paddle (Fig. 3).
4 Insert the ingredients in the bowl.

Warning!

Do not fill the bowl beyond the maximum limit. An excess of ingredients could cause a stop of the mixing paddle and fail the production of ice cream.

5 Verify that the mixing paddle is correctly hooked to the motor shaft.

Warning!

Do not rotate the motor shaft with too much strength. Risk of damaging the motor shaft.

6 Put the lid on the bowl. The opening/closing hooks of the bowl must be aligned to the guides (Fig. 8). Immerse the mixing paddle into the ingredients.
7 Close the opening/closing hooks of the bowl.
8 Push the ON/OFF button. The button control light turns on.
9 Put the ice cream maker in the freezer.

During the preparation of the ice cream, the motor turns for circa 10 seconds then it stops for circa 5 minutes. The ON/OFF button control light is always on.

When the ice cream is ready, the ON/OFF button control light turns off. Remove the ice cream maker from the freezer.

Warning!

If the ice-cream stays in the freezer, it could freeze and it could be difficult to remove the lid with the mixing paddle. Wait a few minutes before removing the lid or the mixing paddle.

Never keep the plastic parts in the fridge.

The freezer must have a temperature of -18^ (0^)

A normal freezer could not be suitable for the preparation of the ice-cream. A No Frost freezer could lengthen the times of the preparation of the ice-cream.

Do not fill the freezer with many products. In the freezer, keep the appliance far from other food (Fig. 9).

CLEANING THE APPLIANCE

Warning!

All the cleaning operations specified below must be carried out when the appliance is turned off and when the charger is disconnected from that appliance.

Regular maintenance and cleaning preserve and maintain the appliance efficient for a longer period.

Never immerse the motor body and the charger in water or other liquids. Do not use direct jets of water.

Every operation must be carried out when the appliance is cold.

Never use solvents, because they damage the plastic.

The bowl, the mixing paddle and the shaft can be washed in the dishwasher, in the upper part. To clean the motor body (C) use a non-abrasive cloth that has been slightly dampened with water to not damage the bodywork. Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

In the case of decommissioning of the appliance, it must be electrically disconnected. Cut the power cord of the charger.

The appliance works with rechargeable batteries. At the end of its useful life it must not be disposed with the municipal waste. It can be delivered to the appropriate separate waste collection centres set up by municipal administrations or to retailers that offer this service.

To dispose separately an appliance, permits to avoid possible negative consequences for the environment and for the health resulting from an incorrect disposal and permits to recover the materials of which it is composed in order to obtain an important saving of energies and resources.

The crossed mobile waste container symbol is printed on the product to point out the obligation to separately dispose of household appliances.

The battery must be removed from the appliance. Under the motor body there is a compartment. Unscrew the screws. Remove the battery.

RECIPES

Lemon sorbet

Ingredients:

200 g sugar

4-5 lemons

1 egg white

water

Preparation:

Put the lemon juice in a bowl and add water up to 34 litres, add sugar, clean lemon skin cut in small pieces. Add the beaten egg white. Cook on low fire for a few minutes then let the preparation to cool down for 30 minutes. Pass the preparation through a colander and pour it in the ice cream maker.

Fiordi latte

Ingredients:

120 ml milk

120 ml cream

60 g sugar

Preparation:

Put milk, cream and sugar in a bowl. Stir to mix all the ingredients.

Pour the preparation in the ice cream maker.

Vegan ice cream

Ingredients:

120 ml soya milk

120 ml soya cream

150 g sugar

Preparation:

Put milk, cream and sugar in a bowl. Stir to mix all the ingredients.

Pour the preparation in the ice cream maker.

Strawberry ice cream

Ingredients:

230 g strawberries

130 ml milk

140 ml cream

120 g sugar

Preparation:

Blend the strawberries, put them in a bowl, and add milk, cream and sugar. Stir to mix all the ingredients.

Pour the preparation in the ice cream maker.
