General Notes
Before using the appliance for the first time, read the operating instructions very carefully and keep them safe together with the warranty certificate, the receipt, and, if possible, the carton with the inner packaging. If you give this appliance to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- Only use the appliance for private use and the intended purpose. This appliance is not intended for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep away from heat, direct sunlight, damp (never immerse in liquids), and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- Always switch off and unplug the appliance (pull the plug, not the cable) when you do not use the appliance, or when you attach accessories, during cleaning, or in case of malfunction.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation. Always switch off the appliance when leaving the room. Disconnect the plug from the mains.
- Regularly check the appliance and the mains cable for signs of damage. Do not continue to operate the appliance in case of damage.
- Use only original parts.
- For the safety of your children, keep any packaging parts (plastic bags, cartons, polystyrene, etc.) out of their reach.

Do not let small children play with plastic foil.

Special Safety Information for this Appliance

WARNING: Risk of burns!
During operation and afterwards, the temperature of the accessible surfaces will be very high.
- Hold the appliance only on the handle (5).
- Open the lid (3) only with the button (4) in the handle.
- Close the lid by only touching the contact area (2).

WARNING:
- Do not exceed the MAX mark when filling, otherwise the water may boil over and cause burns!
• Always ensure that the lid (3) is tightly closed. - Do not open the lid (3) while the water is boiling.
- The water level must be between the MAX and the MIN mark (6).
- Use the appliance only on a level work surface.
- Do not move the appliance and do not touch it when it is working.
- Use the appliance only with its base unit (7).
- Turn off the appliance before removing it from the base unit (7)!
- The base unit and exterior of the machine must not become wet.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 up, if they are supervised or have been instructed concerning the safe use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and maintenance by the user shall not be made by children unless they are age 8 or older and are supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children younger than 8 years.
• Children may not play with the appliance. -
Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge, if they are supervised or have been instructed concerning safe use of the appliance and understand the hazards involved.

Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Please contact authorized personnel. In order to avoid hazards, a damaged mains cable must be replaced with an equivalent cable by the manufacturer, our customer service or any other qualified specialist.

This appliance is used for heating and boiling water. Never use it to heat other fluids or food.

Only use the appliance in a dry, indoor area. It is intended for domestic use and similar areas of use such as e.g.
- in staff kitchens in shops, offices, and other commercial areas;
- by guests in hotels, motels, and other accommodation facilities;
- It is not intended for use in farm accommodation or bed & breakfast establishments.

Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging materials like foils, filling materials, cable holders, and carton packaging.
- Check the scope of deliveries for completeness.
- Check the appliance for possible transport damage to prevent hazards.
i NOTE:
If there are any visible signs of transport damage, contact your dealer immediately.
Do not operate a damaged appliance!
Application Instructions
Preparation
Before first use, boil fresh water at least three times in the appliance. Use only clear water without any additives or ingredients.
i NOTE:
When the power plug (8) is inserted into a power outlet, two beeps can be heard and all pilot lamps in the buttons light momentarily.
Power Cable
Completely unwind the required power cable from the bottom of the base unit (7). Please pay attention to the routing of the power cable (8).
Electric Connection
Check that the mains voltage to be used matches the voltage of the appliance.
Details can be found on the rating label on the base unit.
Connected Wattage
The total power consumption of the appliance can be max. 2200 W. With this connected wattage, a separate feed protected by a 16 A circuit breaker is recommended.

CAUTION: Overload!
- If you use extension cords, they should have a conductor cross-section of at least 1.5 ~mm^2 .
- Do not use multiple sockets, as this appliance is too powerful.
Power ON / OFF
Power ON:
Press the ON / OFF button (9). The pilot lamp in the button lights blue. The preset button (10) for temperature selection flashes blue.
Power OFF:
Press the ON / OFF button (9) again. The pilot lamps in the buttons go out.
Operation

NOTE:
Always use fresh, cold water.
Heating:
- Set the appliance onto a flat surface.
- Open the water kettle by pressing the button (4) on the handle.
- Fill in clear water (max 1.5 liters). You can check the filling level on the level gauge (6) of the appliance.
- Close the lid (3).
- Place the kettle flush onto the base unit (7).
- Connect the appliance only to a correctly installed safety socket. When the power plug is inserted into a power outlet, two beeps can be heard.
- Press a button for temperature selection (10) (70 °C, 80 °C, 90 °C, or 100 °C).
- Use the ON / OFF button (9) to turn on the appliance. The selected button for temperature selection (10) flashes blue.
- The appliance heats up, the pilot lamp in the ON / OFF button (9) goes out when the selected temperature has been reached, and two beeps can be heard. The respective button for temperature selection (10) lights blue for ca. 1 minute and then goas out with a beep.

Perform the steps 1 to 7 as described under "Heating".

Press the button ☐☐ (11) and then the ☐ON / OFF button (9) to start the keep-warm process at the preset temperature. The button for temperature selection (10) flashes.
- When the set temperature has been reached, two beeps can be heard and the buttons ☐ (11), ON / OFF, and temperature selection (10) light steadily.
- The keep-warm function remains active for one hour, and the button for temperature selection (10) flashes during this time. Then the entire process can be repeated for another hour.
Quick Start
- Use the ON / OFF button (9) to turn on the appliance. The pilot lamp in the button lights blue.
- When the temperature has been reached, two beeps can be heard and the pilot lamp in the ON / OFF button (9) goes out.
Pausing / Terminating Operation
There are two ways to interrupt the boiling process or to terminate it:
- The appliance will shut off automatically after the boiling process. The respective pilot lamps go out.
- Press the ON / OFF button (9) to end the boiling process.

NOTE:
A beep can be heard when you remove the water kettle from the base unit (7).

CAUTION:
Never remove the appliance from the base unit (7) without turning it off in advance.
The contacts on the base unit (7) are not suitable for interrupting the current.

WARNING: Danger of burns!
- Keep the lid (3) closed while pouring.
- During operation, the housing becomes hot. Do not touch it and let the appliance cool down before storing it.
- Disconnect the power plug (8).
- Empty the water tank.
Power Cable Take-up Device
The power cable (8) can be wound onto the bottom of the base unit (7).
Cleaning

WARNING:
• Always turn the device off before cleaning it and pull the power plug (8). Wait until the appliance has cooled down.
- Never immerse the device or the base unit (7) in water or other liquids.

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or abrasives for cleaning
- Do not use acrid or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Rinse the water tank with clean water. Then dry it with a cloth.
- Clean the housing after use with a slightly damp cloth.
Descaling
- The intervals at which you should perform descaling depend on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use.
- Descaling is necessary if the appliance turns off before the water is boiling.
- Please do not use vinegar, but a commercially available decalcification agent on the basis of citric acid. Only use the quantities stated in the instructions.

NOTE:
After descaling the appliance, boil fresh water several times (approx. 3-4 times) to remove any residues. Do not consume this water.
Troubleshooting
