Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packaging.
- Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
- Check the appliance for possible transport damage to avoid hazards. Do not operate a damaged appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.
- There may still be dust or production residues on the appliance. We recommend that you clean the appliance as described under "Cleaning".

Warnings for the Use of the Appliance
WARNING: Risk of Burns!
- Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
• Always ensure that the lid is firmly closed. - The housing becomes hot during operation! Do not touch the appliance and allow it to cool down before putting it away.
CAUTION: Overload!
- If an extension lead is used, it should have a cable cross-section of at least 1.5 ~mm^2 .
- Do not use a multiple socket as this appliance is too powerful.
CAUTION:
- Always switch off the appliance before removing it from the base! The contacts on the base are unsuitable for interrupting the power supply.
- Make sure that the appliance is switched off when you put it back on the base!
Notes for Use
A signal tone sounds when the appliance is connected to the socket. All indicator lamps light up briefly. The appliance then goes into standby mode.
Mains Cable
Unwind the required mains cable completely from the underside of the base. Ensure that the mains cable is routed correctly.
Connected Load
The appliance has a total power consumption of 2200 W. With this connected load, a separate supply line with a 16 A household circuit breaker is recommended.
Electrical Connection
- Check that the mains voltage matches that of the appliance. The details can be found on the rating plate on the base.
- Only connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket.

Preparation
Before using the appliance for the first time, boil it three times with fresh water. Only use clear water without additives.
Operation
- Place the appliance on a level surface.
- Fill the appliance with clear water, but no more than 1.7 litres (14). The fill level can be read from the water level indicator inside the appliance.
- Press the button on the handle to open the lid and fill with water.
- Always use fresh, cold water.

The water level must be between the MIN and MAX mark.

Close the lid. Always make sure that the lid is firmly closed.
- Place the kettle flush on the base.
- To switch the appliance on, press the button ⏻ The control lamp lights up.
- For a quick start, press the button twice.
- When the boiling temperature is reached, you will hear 2 signal tones.
Keep Warm
To switch on the keep warm function, press the button (10). Then select one of the preset temperatures or the temperature you want.
- When the set temperature is reached, you will hear a signal tone.
- The control lamp for the pre-selected setting lights up. The keep warm control lamp flashes. The appliance now keeps the temperature stable for 2 hours and then switches off.
- The keep warm function remains active even if you remove the jug from the base for up to 3 minutes.
- Not for 100 °C! You cannot link the keep-warm function to this temperature.
- Quick start:
- Press the button device when you have put the jug on.
- The water is heated to 100 °C. The display shows the water temperature.
Interrupting/Cancelling Operation
There are two ways to interrupt or stop the boiling process:

The appliance switches off automatically after the cooking process. The appliance switches to standby mode. The control lamp remains lit.

To end the cooking process prematurely, press the button 📊 again.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
- Empty the water tank.
- Only hold the appliance by the handle.
- Keep the lid closed when pouring.
- Only open the lid using the button provided on the handle (2).
- The housing becomes hot during operation! Only touch the display on the appliance.
Cleaning

WARNING:
- Always switch off the appliance before cleaning and disconnect the mains plug from the socket. Wait until the appliance has cooled down.
- Do not immerse the appliance or the base in water. This could lead to an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or other abrasive objects.
- Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Rinse out the water container with clear water. Dry it with a cloth.
• After use, clean the housing with a slightly damp cloth. - Clean the filter after use with a slightly damp cloth.
Descaling
- The intervals between descaling depend on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use.
- If the appliance switches off before the water boils, descaling is necessary.
- Do not use vinegar, but a commercially available descaling agent based on citric acid. Please dose according to the instructions.
- After descaling, boil fresh water several times (approx. 3 to 4 times) to remove residues. Do not use this water for consumption.
Storage
- Clean the appliance as described. Allow the accessories to dry completely.
- We recommend storing the appliance in its original packaging if you do not intend to use it for a longer period of time.
• Always store the appliance out of the reach of children in a well-ventilated and dry place.
Winding Device for Mains Cable
You can wind up the mains cable on the base section.
Troubleshooting
