IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Please read through this user manual thoroughly before using your Solis Mulinetto Pro so that you become familiar with your appliance and can use it safely. We thoroughly recommend that you keep these instructions and, if you pass the appliance on, that you also hand these instructions to the new owner.
For your own safety, please observe the following safety measures when using electrical appliances:
- To avoid electric shock, neither the appliance base nor the power cord and plug must come into contact with water or any other liquids. Water can enter the housing and damage the appliance! Should the appliance base resp. the power cord or plug come into contact with liquids, use dry rubber gloves to immediately pull the power plug from the power socket.
- The milling container itself must be completely dry on the inside, outside and bottom before being placed in the appliance base. The same applies to the blade.
- Do not operate or unplug the appliance with wet or moist hands or feet.
- Before using the appliance, check that the voltage stated on the type plate matches your mains voltage.
- Place the appliance while in function on a level, stable, clean and dry surface, like a table or work top.
- Do not leave the power cable hanging over table edges so that it can be pulled. Make sure that it does not come into contact with hot surfaces, such as hotplates or a radiator or with the appliance itself.
- Keep the appliance away from hot gas, hot ovens and other heat-emitting appliances or heat sources. Never use the appliance on a hot or wet surface. Never place the appliance near
moisture, heat and naked flames. Keep the appliance away from moving parts or appliances.
- Never carry the appliance by the power cable and do not place it on the power cable. Never pull on the power cord to disconnect the appliance from the power mains. Only pull on the plug.
- Fully unwind the cord before use.
- We recommend that you do not use an extension cable with this appliance. Do not place the appliance directly underneath a power socket.
- Unplug the appliance when it is not in use or unattended and before cleaning. We recommend the use of a residual current device (RCD safety switch) to ensure additional protection during the use of electrical appliances. It is advisable to use a safety switch with a rated residual operating current of 30mA maximum. For professional advice consult an electrician.
- Do not make any adjustments to the appliance, cable, plug or accessories.
- Do not leave the coffee grinder unsupervised during use! Incorrect use may cause injury!
- Never take hold of an appliance that has fallen into water or other liquids. Always take the plug out of the power socket before removing the appliance from the water or liquid. Do not use the appliance again until you have had it's ability to function safely checked by Solis or a Solis approved service centre.
- Never place the coffee grinder in a place where it could fall into water (e.g. next to a sink).
- Place the appliance so that it is never exposed to direct sunlight.

Never put sharp or pointed objects and tools into the appliance openings. The appliance may become damaged – danger of electric shock!

Do not shake or relocate the appliance while it is in operation.
- Use the Solis Mulinetto Plus only for milling whole coffee beans. It is not suitable for shredding or milling other foods.
- Never touch the rotating blade - you could be seriously injured!
- To prevent the motor from overloading and overheating, the appliance must only be used for a maximum of 30 seconds without interruption. After that, let it cool down for a short time.
- Never use the appliance if water or any other liquid is in the container.
- Use the appliance only as described in this manual. Never start the appliance while the container is empty. Improper use can cause injuries. Only fill the container with whole coffee beans and never exceed the MAX marking.
- Only use with the provided accessories, or accessories recommended by Solis, incorrect accessories can lead to damage of the appliance.
- This appliance is only for domestic use and is not suitable for commercial use.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- Check your coffee grinder before every use.
- In order to avoid electric shock, do not use the appliance if the cable or plug are damaged or the appliance is otherwise faulty, dropped or damaged. Never attempt repairs yourself, but take your appliance to Solis or a Solis approved service centre in order to get it inspected or mechanically and electrically repaired.
- People with limited physical, sensorial or mental capabilities as well as unknowing or inexperienced people (incl. children) must not use the coffee grinder except when supervised or thoroughly instructed on how to use the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Additionally, they must be
aware of the dangers arising from the appliance and know how to operate it safely. Cleaning and maintenance of the appliance must not be done by unsupervised children. The appliance must not be operated or cleaned by children under the age of 8.
- Always keep the appliance and power cord out of the reach of children.
- Children must not clean the appliance except when supervised by a grown-up person responsible for their safety.
- Children must not play with the coffee grinder. Keep the packaging material incl. plastic bags out of reach of children. Suffocation hazard!
- Never start the appliance using a remote or timer.
- Use only the included lid and milling container with this appliance. Do not use the container on another appliance base. Improper accessories can cause electric shock, fire or personal damage as well as damage to the appliance itself!
- The lid has to be correctly placed and fastened during use, otherwise the appliance can not be used. Do not place anything on the lid.
- Before removing the ground coffee from the appliance, always wait for the blade to come to a full stop and pull the plug. Only then remove the ground coffee, carefully. Caution: The blade is sharp!
- Pull the plug after every use. Only then is the appliance definitely switched off.
- Keep the appliance clean. Always switch the appliance off, pull the power plug and let the appliance cool down completely before cleaning and storing it. Please refer to the „Cleaning and maintenance" section on page 46 of this manual.

Only use mild detergent and a soft towel for cleaning. Aggressive detergents and solvents or abrasive materials could damage the surface.

The milling container can be cleaned in the dishwasher. When hand-washing the container, carefully clean the blade with a cloth or a soft brush. The blade is sharp! Do not touch the blade with your hands.
- Before first use, remove all packaging materials and stickers resp. labels and clean the inside and outside of the container as well as the lid. Please refer to section „Before first use" on page 44 of this manual.

BEFORE FIRST USE
Before using the appliance for the first time, you should carefully clean the lid, milling container and blade.
- Please make sure that the appliance is not connected to the power.
- Lift the lid off.
- Turn the milling container in a counterclockwise direction to remove it from the appliance base.
Caution: Grab the container on the outside or on the upper edge and avoid any contact with the blade!
- Clean the container with the blade and the lid in warm dishwater, using a soft towel or brush. Use a dry towel to carefully dry the container inside, outside and bottom. The container and blade should be completely dry on the inside, outside and bottom before you fill coffee beans resp. use the appliance. The same applies for the lid.
- Wipe the appliance base clean with a slightly wet towel.
- Place the dry milling container back in the appliance base and fasten it by turning it in a clockwise direction (Caution: do not touch the blade!) to lock it into place.


OPERATION
- Place the clean and dry appliance on a dry and stable worktop. Make sure that the milling container is correctly locked into the appliance base.
- Fill the milling container with whole coffee beans. Please note the MAX-marking in the container. You can fill approx. 70g of coffee beans.
- Caution: Never fill the container with anything else then coffee beans. Under no circumstances fill the container with water or any other liquids.
- Place the lid on the appliance base. Plug the power plug into a suitable power outlet.
- Your appliance will begin milling once you push down on the lid.
- Mill the coffee beans until the ideal grind degree is reached.
- Once you stop putting pressure on the lid the appliance will stop.
- Caution: Never operate the appliance for more than 30 seconds without intermission! Always let the motor cool down for a short time afterwards!
- Wait for the blade to come to a full stop, then pull the power plug.
- Open the lid and carefully remove the ground coffee.
- Caution: Please remember that the blade is sharp! Do not touch the blade with your hands!
SAFETY DEVICE
- The coffee grinder can only be used when the lid fully closes the appliance base and is pushed down.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Before cleaning, pull the plug and let the appliance cool down.
- Remove the lid. Turn the milling container in a counterclockwise direction to remove it from the appliance base.
- Clean the milling container with the blade and the lid with a soft towel or brush in warm dish water. Then, dry the milling container and the lid on both the inside and the outside with a soft, dry towel. Alternatively, you can clean the milling container in the dishwasher.
- Please make sure not to touch the blade with your hands, you could cut yourself!
- Clean the appliance base with a slightly wet towel and dry it.
- Never submerge the appliance base, the power cord or power plug in water or other liquids and do not spray water or other liquids onto the appliance parts. Risk of electric shock!
Do not use any aggressive cleaners or solvents or abrasive materials on any of the appliance parts. These might damage the surfaces.
STORAGE
- When not needed, the coffee grinder should be disconnected from the power and then be cleaned and dried.
- The power cord should be stored in the cord wrap.
- Store the cool, clean and dry appliance in an upright position, best in the original packaging. Do not place any objects on the appliance.
