Frequently Asked Questions - V3P5G45 ASUS

How to choose the power supply voltage (115V or 230V)?
Locate the voltage selector near the power connector. If your region uses 100-127V, set it to 115V; for 200-240V, set to 230V. Refer to the manual for the exact location.
How to install the processor on the motherboard?
Lift the socket lever, align the gold triangle on the CPU with the one on the socket, then lower the lever. For Intel LGA775, first remove the PnP cap and follow the specific procedure. Never force to avoid damaging the pins.
How to install memory modules (DIMM)?
Disconnect power. Open the socket clips, align the notch on the module with the tab, then gently push down until the clips automatically close.
How to install a hard drive or optical drive?
For a 3.5" hard drive, remove the metal cover, insert the drive into the bay, secure it with two screws on each side, then connect the SATA/IDE and power cables. For a 5.25" optical drive, the procedure is similar.
How to remove the side panel and front panel?
Remove the screws at the back, slide the side panel backward to unhook it. For the front panel, lift the top hooks, pivot it to the right, then remove it.
What types of expansion cards can be installed?
The case supports PCI, PCIe x1 and PCIe x16 cards. Remove the metal bracket from the corresponding slot, insert the card, then lock it.
How to connect the processor fan?
After installing the heatsink, connect the fan cable to the CPU_FAN connector on the motherboard. Do not forget this step to avoid a hardware monitoring error.
Can I use a SATA and IDE hard drive at the same time?
Yes, the motherboard has both SATA and IDE connectors. Make sure to configure the master/slave jumpers correctly for IDE drives.
Where to find the manual in French?
The manual is available in PDF format on notice-facile.com. You can also request a translation by email by selecting your language.
What to do if the computer does not start after assembly?
Check the power cable connection, the voltage selector position, the CPU and memory module installation, and the connection of the Power button to the motherboard.
