USER MANUAL F04MK Caffitaly

  • This appliance is designed for use in domestic and similar applications, such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offi ces and other workplaces; in hotels, holiday farms, motels, B&Bs and other residential-type places.
  • The appliance must only be used to froth and heat milk. Any use diff erent from that covered by these instructions can result in injury and voids the warranty. The manufacturer declines any liability for damage resulting from improper use of the appliance.
  • After unpacking, check the good condition of the appliance. In case of damage, or at the fi rst sign of faultiness (unusual noises or odours), or for any problem occurring inside the appliance, do not use it. Contact an Authorised Service Centre.
  • The packaging elements (plastic bags, etc.) are potential hazards and must not be left within reach of children.
  • Only use the appliance if the power cord is intact. To replace a damaged cord, contact an Authorised Service Centre. Danger of death caused by electric shocks.
  • The appliance should only be used and stored indoors. Make sure the electrical elements, plugs and cords are dry. Never immerse the appliance.
  • Protect the appliance from sprays and drips. Water and electricity together create a risk of electrocution.
  • Only connect the appliance to approved power sockets. Make sure the mains voltage matches that shown on the data plate located on the bottom of the appliance.
  • The surface on which the appliance is installed must be level, solid, stationary and heat resistant; the support surface must not slope more than 2°.
  • Do n ot allow the appliance to be used by children (even over 8 years old) with impaired mental, physical or sensory faculties or insuffi cient experience and expertise, unless they are carefully supervised and instructed by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be kept under supervision to prevent them from playing with the appliance!
  • Do not leave the power cord near hot surfaces and sharp edges or objects.
  • Never remove parts of the appliance while it is on. Do not insert anything in the openings. This could cause electric shocks! Any operation not described in this instruction manual must only be carried out by an Authorised Service Centre!
  • Grip the plug without pulling on the cord to disconnect it.
  • Clean the appliance carefully and regularly every time it is used. Otherwise, the grime that forms could be harmful to health and aff ect proper appliance operation. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning.
  • Do not wash the parts in a dishwasher, do not put the appliance in water (apart from the lid and insert) and do not direct jets of water towards the bottom of the appliance or base. This can permanently damage the appliance and invalidate the warranty. Danger of electric shocks.

First use The appliance can be used for the following operations:

  • Froth and heat milk (press (once) the switch A - LED WHITE);
  • Froth milk without heating it (press (once) the switch B - LED BLUE);
  • Heat milk without frothing it (press (once) the switch C - LED WHITE). The appliance is equipped with a "mixer/milk frother insert" accessory (support + whisk), which must always be used, whatever the chosen operation. Before using the milk frother, clean all the parts (see "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE"). Do not use the appliance without milk. Note: The appliance switches off by disconnecting it from the power supply.

Description of milk frother9 English Alarms The appliance has the ”Froth and heat milk" (WHITE LED) and "Froth milk without heating" (BLUE LED) buttons lit up at the same time, as shown in fi gure 1, when:

  • Any button is pressed and the milk container is not in the base.
  • Any button is pressed and there is no milk in the container.
  • Any button is pressed and the mixer/frother insert is not inside the container.
  • The milk container is removed from the base when the cycle has not fi nished. IMPORTANT NOTE: To reset the alarm and return to operation status, press any button TWICE. Frothing and heating milk
  • Place the appliance on a fl at surface.
  • Remove the container from the base.
  • Remove the lid and make sure the mixer/milk frother insert is inside the container.
  • Fill the container with the recommended amount of milk, put back the lid and the container inside the base. Note: For better froth, use milk straight from the refrigerator (approx. 3°-5°C). To prevent the milk from spilling after frothing, the maximum recommended amount of milk (150ml) must not exceed the line mark MAX FROTH; this is because when frothed, milk increases its initial volume.
  • Insert the plug in a power socket. The appliance will beep.
  • Press the button A; the other buttons go off . The milk frother will start rotating and frothing the milk. When the required temperature is reached, the milk frother insert stops; the appliance beeps and all the buttons light up. Note: The cycle can be stopped in advance by pressing the button once. Do not remove the milk container during operation.
  • When the appliance stops, remove the container from the base and pour the hot frothed milk (Fig.2).
  • Always switch the appliance off by disconnecting it from the mains after use. Note: It is advisable to clean the appliance of any milk residues after every use, to avoid risks to health and prevent malfunctioning.10 English Frothing milk without heating it

When the required temperature is reached, the milk frother insert stops; the appliance beeps and all the buttons light up. Note: The cycle can be stopped in advance by pressing the button once. Do not remove the milk container during operation.
  • When the appliance stops, remove the container from the base and pour the hot milk (Fig.2).
  • Always switch the appliance off by disconnecting it from the mains after use. Note: It is advisable to clean the appliance of any milk residues after every use, to avoid risks to health and prevent malfunctioning.11 English Cleaning and maintenance Always unplug the appliance and leave it to cool before cleaning it. ATTENTION: Do not put the base in water.
  • Only the milk container can be also be put in a dishwasher.
  • Remove the gasket from the lid and wash them with warm water and mild detergent (Fig.3). Rinse thoroughly and dry. Refi t the gasket on the lid.
  • Remove the metal whisk from the support (Fig.4), wash them with hot water (NOT in a dishwasher) and refi t.
