USER MANUAL F03MK Caffitaly
- This appliance is designed for use in domestic and similar applications, such as staff kitchen areas in shops, offi ces and other workplaces; in hotels, holiday farms, motels, B&Bs and other residential-type places.
- The appliance must only be used to froth and heat milk. Any use different from that covered by these instructions can result in injury and voids the warranty. The manufacturer declines any liability for damage resulting from improper use of the appliance.
- After unpacking, check the good condition of the appliance. In case of damage, or at the fi rst sign of faultiness (unusual noises or odours), or for any problem occurring inside the appliance, do not use it. Contact an Authorised Service Centre.
- The packaging elements (plastic bags, etc.) are potential hazards and must not be left within reach of children.
- Only use the appliance if the power cable is intact. To replace a damaged cable, contact an Authorised Service Centre. Danger of death caused by electric shocks.
- Only use and store the appliance indoors. Make sure the electrical elements, plugs and cables are dry. Never immerse the appliance.
- Protect the appliance from sprays and drips. Water and electricity together create a risk of electrocution.
- Only connect the appliance to approved power sockets. Make sure the mains voltage matches that shown on the data plate located on the bottom of the appliance.
- The surface on which the appliance is installed must be level, solid, stationary and heat resistant; the support surface must not slope more than 2°.
- Do not allow the appliance to be used by persons (including children) with impaired mental, physical or sensory faculties or insuffi cient experience and expertise, unless they are carefully supervised and instructed by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be watched over, making sure they do not play with the appliance!
- Do not leave the power cable near hot surfaces and sharp edges or objects.
- Never remove parts of the appliance while it is on. Do not insert anything in the openings. This could cause electric shocks! Any operation not described in these instructions must only be carried out by an Authorised Service Centre!
- Grip the plug without pulling on the cable to disconnect it.
- Clean the appliance carefully and regularly every time it is used. Otherwise, the grime that forms could be harmful to health and affect proper appliance operation. Unplug the appliance and allow it to cool before cleaning.
- Do not wash the parts in a dishwasher, do not put the appliance in water (apart from the lid and insert) and do not direct jets of water towards the bottom of the appliance or base. This can permanently damage the appliance and invalidate the warranty. Danger of electric shocks.
- Hold the appliance by the handle.
- The base supplied must only be used for its intended purpose.
- Always use the appliance with the lid in place.
- Keep these instructions.7 English Description of milk frother
First use The appliance can be used for the following operations:
- Froth and heat milk (press the switch once - LED steady RED);
- Heat milk without frothing it (press the switch twice - LED blinks RED);
- Froth milk without heating it (press the switch for 3 seconds - LED steady BLUE). The appliance is equipped with a "mixer/milk frother insert" accessory (consisting of support + whisk), which is to be used always, whatever the selected operation. Before using the milk frother, clean all the parts (see "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE"). Note: The maximum capacity of the container is 400 ml.
English Frothing and heating milk
- Place the appliance on a fl at surface.
- Remove the lid and place the mixer/milk frother insert inside the container.
- Fill the container with the recommended amount of milk and refi t the lid. Note: For better frothing, use milk at refrigerator temperature (approx. 4°-8°C) Note: To prevent milk overfl owing after being frothed, the recommended maximum amount of milk must be between the two lines marked MIN - MAX FROTH; this is because frothed milk doubles or triples its initial volume.
- Place the container on the base, then connect the plug to a power socket.
- Press the switch once: the indicator light comes on steady RED. The appliance will start. The milk frother insert stops when the temperature of the milk has reached the set value. The indicator light goes off. Note: The cycle can be stopped beforehand by pressing the switch once.
- Pour the heated and frothed milk when the appliance has stopped.
- Always switch the appliance off and disconnect it from the power supply when not in use. Note: It is advisable to clean any milk residuals from the appliance every time it has been used, to safeguard health and prevent malfunctioning. Heating milk without frothing it
- Place the appliance on a fl at surface.
- Remove the lid and place the mixer/milk frother insert inside the container. Fill the container with the recommended amount of milk and refi t the lid. Note: To prevent milk overfl owing after being frothed, the recommended maximum amount of milk must be below the level marked MAX MILK.
- Place the container on the base, then connect the plug to a power socket.
- Press the switch twice within 3 seconds; the indicator light blinks RED and the appliance begins to heat the milk without frothing it. The mixer insert stops when the temperature of the milk has reached the set value. The indicator light goes off. Note: The cycle can be stopped beforehand by pressing the switch once.
- Open the lid and pour the hot milk when the appliance has stopped.
- Always switch the appliance off and disconnect it from the power supply when not in use. Note: It is advisable to clean any milk residuals from the appliance every time it has been used, to safeguard health and prevent malfunctioning.9 English Frothing milk without heating it

- Keep the switch pressed for 3 seconds; the indicator light comes on steady BLUE. The mixer insert will rotate to froth milk without heating. The appliance stops automatically after the set time and the indicator light goes off. Note: The cycle can be stopped beforehand by pressing the switch once.
- Pour the frothed milk when the appliance has stopped.
- Always switch the appliance off and disconnect it from the power supply when not in use. Note: It is advisable to clean any milk residuals from the appliance every time it has been used, to safeguard health and prevent malfunctioning. Cleaning and maintenance Always unplug the appliance and leave it to cool before cleaning it. ATTENTION: Do not put the power supply base in water. Do not put any parts in a dishwasher.
- Remove the gasket from the lid and wash them with warm water and mild detergent (Fig.1). Rinse thoroughly and dry. Refi t the gasket on the lid.
- Remove the metal whisk from the support (Fig.2), wash them with warm water and refi t.
- Wash the inside of the container using a mild detergent and water, then wipe with a soft damp cloth.
