Instructions for safe operation
- This device can be used by children from the age of 8 and people with restricted physical, sensory or intellectual abilities or people without adequate experience and/or understanding, if they are supervised or instructed on how to use this device safely and if they are aware of the resulting danger. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children unless they are older than 8 years and supervised.
- Keep children under the age of 8 away from the device and the power cable.
- Once chocolate has been melted it must not be put into storage and reused. It may contain pathogenic germs then.
- This device is not intended to be operated using an external timer clock or a separate remote control system.
- Clean the bowl of the base station and the forks with hot water and detergent. All other parts can be cleaned in the dish washer.
!
DANGER for children
- Packing materials are not children's toys. Children should not be allowed to play with the plastic bags: There is a risk of suffocation.
- Please ensure that children are not able to pull the device down from the work surface with the power cable.
4
DANGER! Risk of electric shock due to moisture
- Do not immerse the base station, the power cable or the mains plug in water or any other liquid.
- If liquid gets into the device, remove the mains plug immediately. Have the device checked before reusing.
4
DANGER! Risk of electric shock
- Only connect the mains plug to a properly installed and easily accessible wall socket whose voltage corresponds to the specifications on the rating plate.
The wall socket must continue to be easily accessible after the device is plugged in.
- Ensure that the power cable cannot be damaged by sharp edges or hot points. Do not wrap the power cable around the device.
- The device is not fully disconnected from the power supply, even after it is switched off. In order to fully disconnect it, pull out the mains plug.
- When using the device, ensure that the power cable cannot be trapped or crushed.
- When removing the mains plug from the wall socket, always pull the plug and never the cable.

- Do not use the device if there is visible damage to the device or the power cable.
- If the power cable of this device should become damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the manufacturer's customer service department or a similarly qualified specialist, in order to avoid any hazards.
WARNING! Risk of injury through burning!
- Wait for the bowl of the base station to cool down before cleaning.
- Do not move the device if it contains liquid chocolate.
WARNING! Risk of material damage
- Ensure that no solid elements (fruit, hard chocolate) block the screw conveyor. If this does occur, immediately switch off the device, as the motor may be damaged.
- Melted chocolate must not be poured down a toilet or sink. It immediately hardens there and leads to blockages.
- Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.
- The device is fitted with non-slip plastic feet. As furniture is coated with a wide array of varnishes and synthetics, and is also treated with different care products, it cannot be fully ruled out that some of these materials contain ingredients that could attack and soften the non-slip plastic feet. If necessary, place a non-slip mat under the device.
- Use the original accessories only.
- Working with liquid chocolate can easily cause a mess. Ensure that you work on a surface which is easy to clean.

5. Which chocolate?
- Generally you can use any chocolate which does not contain solid pieces (nuts, brittle).
- A higher cocoa butter content in chocolate leads to better flow properties.
• Chocolate with high cocoa content (above 60 %) does not flow well. - If the chocolate is not fluid enough, add tasteless vegetable oil. Mix the vegetable oil and chocolate thoroughly.
Chocolate fountain chocolate
This chocolate has such a high cocoa butter content that its flow properties are ideal. You can find this chocolate in specialist or online shops.
Couverture
Couverture is suitable, as it usually contains significantly more cocoa butter than normal chocolate. Occasionally couverture has to be made more fluid with vegetable oil.
Regular chocolate
You can also use normal chocolate. Occasionally normal chocolate has to be made more fluid with vegetable oil.

6. How to use
6.1 First steps
- Remove all packing material.
- Check to ensure that all parts are present and undamaged.
- Clean all parts which come into contact with food (see "Cleaning" on page 7).
6.2 Assembly
- Place the base station 11 on a dry, level, non-slip surface. The work surface should be easy to clean.
NOTE: if the base station 11 is tilted, adjust it by turning the adjusting screws on the feet 7 to make it stand level.
- Place the basin parts 8 / 9 for the fruit around the base station 11. The power cable 6 must be lead through the opening 14 of the basin part 8. Connect the basin parts by pressing the ends of the basin 8 onto the ends of the other basin 9.
- Stick the screw conveyor 3 with the suitable opening facing downwards onto the axis 4.
- Position the cascade element 1 in the bowl 12 in a way that the openings on the feet 2 fit onto the three pins 13.
- Insert the mains plug 6 into a wall socket corresponding to the specifications of the rating plate.
7. Operation
WARNING
- Ensure that no solid elements (e.g. fruit, hard chocolate) block the screw conveyor or 3. If this does occur, immediately switch off the device, as the motor may be damaged.
NOTES:
-
Melt the chocolate before adding it to the chocolate fountain. Melting it in the fountain takes too long.
• The maximum filling volume is 450 ml. -
Heat the pure chocolate. For one batch approx. 450 g. This is ideally done in a water bath or in the microwave. When heating in a normal pan, ensure that you are only working at low temperatures to prevent the chocolate from burning.
- In the case that the melted chocolate does not seem fluid enough, add vegetable oil until the desired consistency has been achieved and mix thoroughly.
- Check whether the chocolate has melted completely. No solid parts must remain.
- Turn the function switch 10 on the device to 📁The control lamp 5 lights up. The bowl 12 is now being heated to keep the chocolate fluid after pouring it in. Wait approx. 2-3 minutes before pouring in the chocolate.
- Place the food items you want to cover in chocolate into the basin 8 / 9.
- Pour the chocolate into the bowl 12. If necessary, use a rubber spatula.
- Turn the function switch 10 on the device to ⒶThe screw conveyor 3 starts to turn and conveys the chocolate upwards. There, it runs over the tip and then over the cascade 1 back down into the bowl 12.

-
Hold fruit, biscuits or other food into the liquid chocolate. Ideally, use the supplied forks 15 or your own spikes or forks.
-
Once you are finished, set the function switch 10 to 0, in order to switch off the device.
-
Wait 2 - 3 minutes until the bowl 12 has cooled down, but the remaining chocolate is still fluid.
Then start with the cleaning, as this is significantly easier while the chocolate is still fluid.
