Melting chocolate
CAUTION! Risk of burns! During heating the bowl 4 may get hot. Do not touch the bowl to prevent injury.
NOTE:
☐ Chocolate is available in various compositions. Some chocolate can be liquified more easily than others. Add vegetable oil to prevent the melted chocolate from becoming sticky.
☐ You can also pre-melt the chocolate in a microwave, pot or pan. This must be done at low temperature and constant supervision. Otherwise, the chocolate may scorch. Before pouring the melted chocolate into the bowl 4, add vegetable oil and stir the mixture well.
☐ Add approx. 80 ml of vegetable oil to every 300 g of chocolate for the correct viscosity. The smaller the pieces, the faster the chocolate melts. We recommend a maximum size of 3 cm × 3 cm × 1 cm per piece.
- Set the control switch 7 to 8.
- Fill the bowl 4 with the desired amount of chocolate. Do not add more than 300 g of chocolate. Add vegetable oil if necessary.
- Let the chocolate melt. If necessary, stir with a spatula or spoon.
Using the fountain
NOTE:
☐ Melt the chocolate before you start the rotation of the chocolate screw 3. Otherwise, the chocolate screw may get stuck.
☐ The maximum continuous operation time is 3 hours. Do not operate the product for a longer time to prevent overheating and damaging the motor unit.
Once the bowl 4 is filled to the brim with liquid chocolate: Set the control switch 7 to 9 to start the rotation of the chocolate screw 3.
☐ Use a fork or a skewers to dip cuts of fruit or marshmallows into the melted chocolate. Cookies, pancakes or pieces of cake are well suited for a chocolate fountain as well.
