Risk of electric shock due to moisture ~ The bottom section, the mains power ca- ble and the mains plug must not be im- mersed in water or any other liquids. ~ Protect the device from moisture, water drops and water spray. Failure to ob- serve this instruction may result in an electrical shock hazard. ~ If liquid gets into the device, remove the mains plug immediately. Have the de- vice checked before reusing. ~ Never touch the device with wet hands. ~ Make sure that the surface under the de- vice is dry. ~ If the device has fallen into water, pull out the mains plug immediately, and only then remove the device from the water. Do not use the device again, and have it checked by a specialist. DANGER! Risk of electric shock ~ Never put the device into operation if there are visible damages to the device or the power cable or if the device has been dropped before.
Only connect the mains plug to a proper- ly installed and easily accessible wall socket whose voltage corresponds to the specifications on the rating plate. The wall socket must continue to be easily ac- cessible after the device is plugged in. ~ Ensure that the power cable cannot be damaged by sharp edges or hot surfac- es. ~ When using the device, ensure that the power cable cannot be trapped or crushed. ~ The device is not fully disconnected from the power supply, even after it is switched off. In order to fully disconnect it, pull out the mains plug. ~ When removing the mains plug from the wall socket, always pull the plug and never the cable. ~ Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket. … if there is a fault, … when you are not using the device, … before you clean the device and … during thunderstorms. ~ To avoid any risk, do not make modifi- cations to the product. ~ Fully unwind the mains cable during use to avoid overheating and scorching. ~ When using an extension cable, this must correspond to the applicable safe- ty regulations. ~ Never place the device on hot surfaces (e.g. hob plates) or near heat sources or open fire. ~ Only use the original accessories. ~ The device is fitted with non-slip silicon feet. able mains socket. The red indicator3 comes on to show that the appliance is connected to the power supply.
4. Turn the temperature control to
"MAX". As soon as operating temper- ature has been reached, the green indi- cator5 comes on. During operation, the green indicator5 (and thus the BB&3(B&UHSH0DNHUB%ERRN6HLWH0LWWZRFK)HEUXDU7
heater) will continually turn on and off. This serves to maintain as constant a temperature as possible.

6. Remove the power supply plug and al-
low the appliance to cool down.
7. Clean the appliance again.
FIRE HAZARD! Before turning the device on, place it on a level, sta- ble, dry, heat-resistant surface. DANGER! Risk of injury through burning! The appli- ance's baking plate1 gets very hot during operation. Only touch the control elements of the device dur- ing operation. WARNING! Risk of material damage! Hard, pointed objects (such as metal spoons) can damage the non-stick coating of the baking plate1. Only use the included kitchen utensils, or utensils made of wood or heat-resistant plastic.
1. Unwind the mains cable6 completely.
3. Wipe off any dust with a dry cloth.
4. Insert the power supply plug into a suit-
able mains socket. The red indicator3 comes on to show that the appliance is connected to the power supply.
5. Turn the temperature control4 to the
desired setting. As soon as operating temperature has been reached, the green indicator5 comes on. NOTE: you can control the browning of the crêpes by altering the temperature and cooking time. We recommend setting the temperature control4 to between "2" and "MAX". During operation, the green indicator5 (and thus the heater) will continually turn on and off. This serves to maintain as constant a temperature as possible.
6. Apply a little crêpe batter to the baking
plate1. CAUTION: Take care to ensure that the bat- ter does not flow over the edge of the baking plate. NOTE: Using a ladle, apply enough batter to cover 2/3 of the baking plate1. If you want thinner or thicker crêpes, pour a little less or more batter onto the baking plate1.
7. Dip the batter spreader8 in water.
NOTE: before making each new crêpe, dip the batter spreader8 in water. This makes it easier to spread the batter without it sticking to the spreader8.
8. Using the spreader8, spread the bat-
ter evenly over the baking plate1. To do this, place the spreader on the sur- face of the batter without applying pressure and, using a circular motion, spread the batter outwards so that it evenly covers the baking plate1.
9. After 30 to 60 seconds (depending on
the temperature and how brown you want the crêpe to be), flip the crêpe us- ing the crêpe flipper7.
10. After another 30 to 60 seconds, lift the
topping of your choice. CAUTION: ~ Never add toppings to the crêpe while it is still on the baking plate1. Always wait until it has been removed from the BB&3(B&UHSH0DNHUB%ERRN6HLWH0LWWZRFK)HEUXDU8
baking plate1, otherwise your topping may leak into the appliance. ~ Never cut the crêpe while it is still on the baking plate, as this may damage the non-stick coating. ~ Never use sharp or metallic objects to turn the crêpe or lift it off the baking plate, as this could damage the non- stick coating.
12. Remove the power supply plug from the
mains socket after use. This is the only way to ensure that the appliance is completely de-energized. NOTE: the first crêpes you make should be thrown away, not eaten, as they will not taste right.
Clean the device prior to its first use! DANGER! Risk of electric shock! ~ Pull the mains plug out of the wall socket before you clean the device. DANGER! Risk of injury through burning! ~ Allow all the parts to cool down before cleaning. WARNING! Risk of material damage! ~ Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.
- Clean the device after each use and re- move all food residues.
1. Wipe the bottom section2 with a soft,
damp cloth. You can also use a little mild detergent, but if doing so, take care to wipe the appliance again after- wards with clean water to avoid any aftertaste affecting the flavour of the crêpes.
2. Wipe dry with a dry cloth.
3. Clean baking plate1, batter spreader8
and crêpe spatula7 in the dishwasher or the sink using gentle dishwater.
4. Do not use the appliance again until all
components have completely dried.
