USER MANUAL Profi Resist WMF

6WMF Frying Pan ProfiResist Multi-layer material with non-stick coating and honeycomb structure. Congratulations on your choice. You have selected a quality product from WMF. High grade materials, first class manufacture and meticulous quality control guarantee very long durability. With the fully developed design and the well thought out function, it will certainly prove its worth. The pan made of multi-layer material has a very fast thermal conductivity and is particularly ideal for everything that is seared at high temperatures, such as meat, poultry or fish with skin. Due to its honeycomb structure, the pan is only somewhat suitable for dishes containing flour or eggs. The cooking surface with a honeycomb structure is extremely scratch resistant and, thanks to the non- stick coating, can easily be cleaned with a sponge and water. Quality characteristics

7with little water and little fat.

  • Pans and lids without plastic parts are also suitable for the oven. Please use oven gloves as the handles can get hot in the oven. Safety and care instructions
  • Before first use wash the frying pan thoroughly in hot water and dry well.
  • Oil the the surface lightly with cooking oil or cooking fat.
  • The best cooking results are achieved at medium or low temperatures.
  • Caution: Overheating can damage the non-stick coating. Never leave the frying pan unattended on the cooker; in the case of severe overheating and smoke in the kitchen, air thoroughly.
  • Never heat up the frying pan for a long time when empty and ensure that the liquid in the food does not completely evaporate. If this is ignored it may damage the pan, or the hob.
  • Even if after due care has been taken food has burnt badly, remove the black burnt food imme- diately to protect the non-stick effect.
  • Clean the frying pan as soon as possible after use. As a measure of gentle care we recommend wiping the frying pan with kitchen paper or washing by hand in hot water and washing up liquid. Modern compressed detergent could affect the non-stick coating in the dishwasher and cause damage. WMF recommends washing by hand.
  • Soak residue food and carefully remove with a sponge or brush. (We recommend Scotch Brite cleaning sponge “Kratzt nicht 3M”).
  • Please do not use steel wool or cleaning fluid containing sand.
  • After cleaning oil the surface with cooking oil or fat once more.
  • Besides wooden or plastic kitchen utensils, a metal turner can be used if care is taken. Any traces of cuts or scratches that occur have no effect on the non-stick qualities of the surface. They are only of an optical nature and cannot be claimed under the guarantee. Instructions for food preparation When frying with fat always put the fat into the empty pan before heating it up! Turn up the heat to medium-high or medium temperature at most. Turn down the heat when the fat begins to smoke lightly. Then lay the food to be fried into the pan. This way you avoid overheating the non-stick coating! Important! Use margarine or butter for egg, fish, flour and potato dishes. Use oil and hard fat for meat (without breading) only.

8On glass ceramic hobs with raised decoration using aluminium frying pans may cause stripes and lines to appear, which can be easily removed by the following method. Spray the hob with oven cleaner and leave on for a long time. Rub the hob firmly until the marks have disappeared. This does not damage you ceramic hob. Cooking on Induction Hobs Please note. Induction is a very rapid heat source. Do not heat up empty pots or pans as excessive heat can damage the cookware. A buzzing sound may occur when the heat setting is high. This is due to a technicality and does not indicate a fault either in the hob or in the cookware. The diameter of the base of the pan and the size of the hob must correspond otherwise where the diameter is small, the hob (magnetic feld) may not react to the base of the pan. Liability exclusion We expressly point out that we are not liable for damage resulting from the following:

  • disregard of these instructions for use
  • faulty repairs Be careful with hot fat. Never leave a hot pan without attention. Extinguish burning fat with a blanket or a fire extinguisher. When frying foods without fat there is no oil to give an indication of how hot he pan is. For this reason heat up the pan to medium temperature at most and make sure that it does not overheat, as this could impair the effect of the non-stick coating. Instructions for electric cookers WMF frying pans are available in the usual household sizes. Where electric hobs are used the diameter of the hob should correspond to the diameter of the frying pan to make better use of energy. Hob Frying pan small ø 14,5 cm ø 20 cm medium ø 18 cm ø 24 cm large ø 22 cm ø 28 cm Instruction for Ceramic Hobs To prevent unnecessary scratches do not drag or pull the cookware over the hob. 9•the use of spare parts that do not correspond to the original ones. This also applies to additional parts and accessories.
