USER MANUAL DAC100 LENCO
User Manual DAB+ receiver with Bluetooth handsfree and FM transmission
Usage of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those speci ed herein may result in hazardous radia on exposure.
This unit should not be adjusted or repaired by anyone except quali ed service personnel.
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS IN MIND:
- Do not use this device near water.
- Clean only with a slightly damp cloth.
- Do not cover or block any ven la on openings. When placing the device on a shelf, leave 5 cm (2") free space around the whole device.
- Install in accordance with the supplied user manual.
- Don't step on or pinch the power adaptor. Be very careful, particularly near the plugs and the cable's exit point. Do not place heavy items on the power adaptor, which may damage it. Keep the en re device out of children's reach! When playing with the power cable, they can seriously injure themselves.
- Unplug this device during lightning storms or when unused for a long period.
- Keep the device away from heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves, candles and other heat-genera ng products.
- Avoid using the device near strong magne c elds.
- Electrosta c discharge can disturb normal usage of this device. If so, simply reset and restart the device following the instruc on manual.
During le transmission, please handle with care and operate in a sta c-free environment.
- Warning! Never insert an object into the product through the vents or openings. High voltage ows through the product and inserting an object can cause electric shock and/or short circuit internal parts. For the same reason, do not spill water or liquid on the product.
- Do not use in wet or moist areas such as bathrooms, steamy kitchens or near swimming pools.
- Do not use this device when condensa on may occur.
- Although this device is manufactured with the utmost care and checked several mes before leaving the factory, it is s ll possible that problems may occur, as with all electrical appliances. If you no ce smoke, an excessive build-up of heat or any other unexpected phenomena, you should disconnect the plug from the main power socket immediately.
- This device must be well ven lated at all me!
- This device must operate on a power source as speci ed on the speci ca on label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply used in your home, consult your dealer or local power company.
- The socket outlet must be installed near the equipment and must be easily accessible.
- Do not overload ac outlets or extension cords. Overloading can cause re or electric shock.
- Devices with class 1 construc on should be connected to a main socket outlet with a protec ve earthed connec on.

Devices with class 2 construc on do not require an earthed connec on.

Keep away from rodents. Rodents enjoy bi ng on power cords.
- Always hold the plug when pulling it out of the main supply socket. Do not pull the power cord. This can cause a short circuit.
- Avoid placing the device on any surfaces that may be subject to vibra ons or shocks.
- To protect the device during a thunderstorm, unplug the ac power adaptor.
- When the device is not in use for long periods, unplug the ac power adaptor for safety reasons.
- To clean the device, use a so dry cloth. Do not use solvents or petrol based uids. To remove severe stains, you may use a damp cloth with dilute detergent.
- The supplier is not responsible for damage or lost data caused by malfunc on, misuse, modi ca on of the device or ba ery replacement.
- Do not interrupt the connec on when the device is formang or transferring les. Otherwise, data may be corrupted or lost.
- The usb memory stick should be plugged into the unit directly. Don't use an usb extension cable because it can cause interference resulting in failing of data.
- The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and make sure that no objects lled with liquids, such as vases, are placed on or near the apparatus.

To completely disconnect the power input, the mains plug of the apparatus shall be disconnected from the mains, as the disconnect device is the mains plug of apparatus.

The mains plug of the apparatus should not be obstructed or should be easily accessed during intended use.
- Ba ery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, re or the like.
- Minimum distance of 10cm around the apparatus is needed for su cient ven la ons.
- The ven la on should not be impeded by covering the ven lation openings with items such as newspapers, table-cloths, curtains etc.
- No naked ame sources such as lighted candles should be placed on the apparatus.
- A en on should be drawn to the environmental aspects of ba ery disposal.
- The apparatus can only be used in moderate extremely cold or climates warm environments should be avoided.
- The rang label has been marked on the bo om panel of the apparatus.
- This device is not intended for use by people (including children) with physical, sensory or mental disabilities, or a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they're under supervision or have received instruc ons about the correct use of the device by the person who is responsible for their safety.
- This product is intended for household use only and not for commercial or industrial use.
- Make sure the unit is adjusted to a stable posi on. Damage caused by using this product in an unstable posi on or by failure to follow any other warning or precau on contained within this user manual will not
be covered by warranty.
- Never remove the casing of this apparatus.
- Never place this apparatus on other electrical equipment.
- Do not use or store this product in a place where it is subject to direct sunlight, heat, excessive dust or vibra on.
- Do not clean this product with water or other liquids.
- Do not block or cover the slots and holes in the product.
- Do not push foreign objects into the slots or holes in the product.
- Do not allow children access to plas c bags.
- Please check that the voltage on the type plate of your appliance corresponds with your house electricity supply (type plate is located on the back of the unit).
- Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, par cularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
- Only use a chments/accessories speci ed by the manufacturer.
- Refer all servicing to quali ed service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as the power supply cord or the plug, when liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, when the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
- Do not use a damaged power cord or plug or a loose outlet. Doing so may result in re or electric shock.
Warning: prolonged exposure to loud sounds from personal music players may lead to temporary or permanent hearing loss.

Suc on holder installa on method:
The DAC-100 has a metallic back side and will be placed on the magne c part of the holder.

Remark: If the dashboard Surface is not 100% at or if there is any grainy Surface, the suc on holder will not adhere perfectly. Be er put it on the windshield or use the vent holder.

Click the vent holder on the air vent. The backside of DAC-100 is metallic and the holder has a magne c part: they t.

Magnet Antenna Installa on

Please follow the installa on steps to install the antenna; any wrong installa on might cause the sensi vity reduc on.
(1) Magnet

- Installa on Steps (Photos for reference only)
1) Please connect the black conduc ve band (2) with the white metal (4) of the antenna.


2) Open the cover board of the ceiling of the window frame and a ach the magnet of the conduc ve band on the metal part of the car. Pull a li le bit on the conduc ve band to make sure that the magnet is making good contact with the metal of the car.


3) Remove the protec ve lm of the antenna (5), s ck the antenna on the windshield.


4) Hide the antenna cable behind the rubber pro le of the door opening or the pro le of the window or use the self-adhesive clips to sck the cable on the windshield


! Remark: The magnet of the conduc ve band must be a ached on the metal part of the car; otherwise the antenna performance will decrease 30% , or even more.
2. CAUTIONS:
1) This magne c antenna is use inside the car exclusively. Do not a ach it outside the car.
2) Do not install at the following loca ons:
-Where it may block driver's view
- Where it may obstruct opera on of safety devices such as air bags
- On movable glass surface such as rear hatch
3) Antenna performance may be ected in the following cases:
- The magnet part is not ached on the metal part of the car.
- Install on IR re ec ng glass, thermal insula on glass, or where covered with mirror type glass Im.
- Install it at the side of vehicle such as door, rear window or overlaps with the window hea ng wires
- Any noise of motor, like working noise of air condi oner or windshield wiper.
DAB/DAB+ Antenna type:
We have made the antenna base with COAXIAL POWER SUPPLY for our own designed antenna.
If you use other brand antenna, it may damage the unit.
How to use:
-
Insert the power supply plug into the car cigar e power port (Input: DC12V).
-
Short press turn on, Short press turn o.
-
Connect the AUX wire (included) from the out jack of the DAB-100 with the AUX input jack of your car or car radio.

DAB mode:
---A: Under DAB mode, long press enter into "DAB full scan", and then rotate the M bu on to adjust the DAB sta on.
Since 2 mes FM frequency is close DAB sta on frequency, in order to avoid interfering DAB sta on scanning, the FM transmi er will stop work when you scanning DAB sta on. A er scanning the DAB sta on, the FM transmi er will automa cally change to the frequency that is not interfering with the DAB signal frequency.
---B: Under your favorite sta on, long press choose favorite sta on, then rotate the bu on to choose the loca on you want to save (such as p1, p2...), then short press M bu on to con rm.
PRESET mode:
- Short press PRESE! , and then rotate the M bu on to listen the favorite sta on which you saved.
- Turn on your in-car audio system.
Volume control:
Long press the M bu on, then you can rotate M bu on to adjust the volume.
OTHER MODES EXCEPT DAB MODE
A. BT mode
Select bluetooth by pressing the M bu on. Pair the unit with your cell phone via Bluetooth.
a. BT calling
When there is call incoming, short press on to answer the call, short
press bu on to hang up the call and double press to reject an
incoming call. Adjust the volume for the phone call also on your Smartphone.
b. BT music playing
Once paired with phone Bluetooth, the unit will play music automa cally, if not, press bu on to start playing or pausing. Enter the menu se ng to switch on/o the Bluetooth.
B. Micro SD Card mode:
Insert the Micro SD card, it will play music automa cally. Short press
to convert "Random play", "Repeat-one", "Repeat all". If the micro SD card is inserted you can also select other modes and come back on SD mode by pressing the M bu on.
FM transmission mode:
If your car has no AUX input jack, please do not plug the AUX output cable. (Because by plugging the AUX cable, The FM will stop to transmit)

- Select a frequency without noise (empty channel) on your car radio.
-- Select the same frequency on your DAC-100 by pressing bu on, and then adjust by rota ng the M bu on, then press M bu on again.
- Select a frequency without noise (empty channel) on your car radio.
★ For a be er Sound quality, if your car has an AUX input, we always recommend you to use the AUX cable.
Menu se ng:
1) long press "MENU" bu on for 3 seconds to enter menu se ing
2) Rotate M bu on to choose se ng op on
3) Rotate M bu on adjust the selected option, then short press the M bu on to con rm
EXPLANATION OF MENU:
Press the Info/Menu bu on for 2 seconds.
DAB AUTOSCAN:
Press M bu on to scan available DAB sta ons.
COLOR SETTING:
You can choose the colors of your screen.
LANGUAGE:
You can select your own language
DELETE ALL PRESETS:
You can delete your selected presets
SERVICE FOLLOWING:
By selec ng this Service your DAC- 100 will automa cally change the frequency when you are driving to always provide your selected radio sta on.
TA MSG:
TA is tra c announcement message Service. By ac va ng this func on, you will get local tra c informa on while listening to any radio sta on. You can ac vate or deac vate the TA func on of the bu ons. Remark : This func on is not yet supported in all countries!
BUTTON LIGHT:
You can ac vate or deac vate the ligh ng of the bu ons.
FACTORY RESET:
Your DAC-100 will return to the Factory adjustments.
SOFTWARE VERSION:
You can see the so ware version of your DAC-100.
