1. Please read the following information and
keep it for future reference.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
3. Children should be supervised in order
to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

6. Do not operate this appliance with an
external timer or remote control system.
7. Never immerse the appliance into water or
any other liquid. Motor block, cable and plug must not come into contact with water. Should this happen accidentally, ensure that all parts are completely dry before the appliance is used again.
8. Always switch off and unplug the appliance
when it is not used.
9. This appliance is intended for domestic and
similar use such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; agricultural enterprises; by clients in hotels, motels and other accommodation facilities; bed and breakfast accommodations and holiday homes.
10. Never place the base on a hot surface or a
metal tray. Do not operate the appliance on or near hot surfaces or flames.

21. For safety reasons, never place the appli-
ance on hot surfaces, a metal tray or a wet surface.
22. Do not place the appliance or lead cable
near open flames during operation.
23. Always use the popcornmaker on a level,
uncluttered and heat-resistant surface.
24. Make sure that the lead cable does not hang
over the edge of the worktop or table, since this can cause accidents, for example if small children pull on the cable.
25. Route the lead cable so that it is prevented
from being pulled or tripped over.
26. Never wrap the lead cable around the
appliance, but around the cable storage on the bottom of the base.
27. Always disconnect the lead cable from the
wall socket pulling on the plug, never on the cable.
28. Never carry the base by the lead cable.
29. Do not use the appliance with accessories
of other manufacturers or brands, to prevent damage.
30. Disconnect the appliance from the wall
socket after use and prior to cleaning. Never leave the appliance unattended when it is connected to the wall socket.
31. Let the appliance cool off before cleaning it.
32. Never open the casing of the popcornmaker.
There is danger of electric shock.
33. Check the appliance, the wall socket and
the lead cable regularly for wear or damage. In case the lead cable or other parts appear damaged, please send the appliance or the base to our after sales service for inspection and repair (for address, see warranty terms). Unauthorised repairs can constitute serious risks for the user and void the warranty. CAUTION: The appliance becomes hot during operation! 1. Remove all packaging materials and any
transport safety devices.
2. Clean all parts with a damp cloth, as
described in the chapter “Cleaning and care” on page 18.
3. Check if the appliance is placed firmly.
4. Connect the base to the mains supply by
means of the lead cable (230 V~, 50 Hz).
5. Preheat the appliance for some minutes
on highest level before using it for the first time to remove eventual production residues on the plates. Open the window during this heating period. Let the appliance cool down after the initial heating. After the initial heating you see some use tracks, however, these will not affect the function of the appliances and are no reason for complaints. oPeration
1. Set the mixer (3) on the axle and fix it clock-
wise with the screw (2).
2. Fill approx. 100 g of corn kernels into the
bowl. The bottom should be covered to 75 %. Do not use more kernels at a time. If the popping chamber is overfilled the appliance might get blocked.
3. Add approx. 2 tablespoons of oil as well
as salt or sugar to taste. Do not add other spices, they might burn.
4. Put the lid (1) on the motor block (4).
5. Put the plug into a power socket.
6. Set the timer to the maximum time.
7. The appliance starts to heat and the corn
begins to pop up. The mixer ensures a uniform mixing of popped and unpopped kernels and thus provides a higher performance. However, it is normal, that a certain number of kernels remains unpopped.
8. When the preset time has finished, the
appliance switches off. The mixer continues to turn to avoid the popcorn from sticking together.
9. Unplug the appliance before opening the lid.
10. The lid (1) serves also as serving dish.
To take out the popcorn, turn the whole appliance using oven cloths and turn the motor block off clockwise (see photo).14 cleaning anD care
1. Always switch off and disconnect the plug from
the mains before cleaning the appliance. Let the appliance cool down.
2. Clean the heating bowl after each use.
3. The motor block and cable must never be
4. immersed into water or any other liquid.
5. All removable parts such as transparent
lid, mixing arm and screw can be cleaned in warm soapy water. The parts are not dishwasher-safe.
6. Wipe the motor block with a moist cloth and
a drop of washing-up liquid. Never use an
7. aggressive scouring or steel wool.
8. If necessary the heating bowl can be
cleaned with an oven cleanser according to the instructions on the product. Remove the cleansing foam with a damp cloth.
9. Possible discolorations of the heating bowl
are normal and can be removed with a few drops of lemon juice on a damp cloth.
10. All parts must be dried completely before
being reassembled and used.
11. Shake the dish softly to allow unpopped
kernels to fall through the holes in the bottom into the black bottom part, from which they can be removed easily.
12. Season the still hot popcorn in the bowl
according to your taste: sweet with sugar, icing sugar, or candy savoury with salt, paprika or curry powder, etc. Just try some new flavours.15
