Before using for the first time
Before the bottle warmer is used for the first time, it must be thoroughly cleaned as described in the section General Care and Cleaning.
Operation
When warming baby food, strict attention should be paid to the manufacturer's information on the packaging.
The heating time largely depends on the quantity of the food, as well as its initial temperature. The following table provides a general guide to heating times:
| Initial temperature | |||
| 7 °C 20 | °C | ||
| Quantity | Temperature control | Minutes | Minutes |
| 100 ml 3 | 9 | 7 | |
| 200 ml 3 | 13 | 9 | |
| 300 ml 3 | 15 | 11 | |
| 125 g | 3 | 10 | 9 |
| 200 g | 3 | 12 | 10 |
| 250 g | 3 | 15 | 11 |
7^ = temperature from the fridge 20^ = room temperature
For 200ml and 300ml , the specified values refer to glass bottles only. For plastic bottles, the heating times will need to be increased by about 1 minute for 200ml , or 2 minutes for
300~ml

Baby bottle
-
Pull up the lift-out holder and put the filled bottle into the holder, before lowering it carefully back into the container.
-
Fill the warming container with water up to the level mark.

Baby-food glass jar
-
Remove the lid from the glass jar containing the food.
-
Pull up the lift-out holder and put the glass jar into the holder; then lower it carefully back into the container. Fill the warming container with sufficient water to reach a level of about 1.5cm below the rim of the glass jar. However, do not exceed the max level mark.

-
Set the temperature control to position 3.
-
Insert the plug into a wall socket; the heating process begins and the indicator light will come on during the warm-up and keep-warm stages.
- To ensure an even temperature distribution throughout the baby food during the warming process, the bottle or jar should be shaken or stirred at regular intervals.
- Check the temperature regularly. Do not overheat the baby food. Before it is fed to the child, the temperature of the food must be carefully checked, e.g. on the back of the hand.
- Once the pre-set temperature level is reached, use the lift -out holder to remove the bottle or glass jar from the container.
-
To keep the baby food warm, set the temperature control to position 1 or 2. To prevent any build-up of bacteria or loss of vitamins, baby food should not be kept warm for too long.
-
Set the temperature control to its
position to switch the appliance off, and remove the plug from the wall socket.
Water temperature inside the warming container
The following table contains information on water temperatures inside the warming container. Note that these temperatures refer to the water only, not to the food itself.
| Temperature control setting | Water temperature inside container |
| 1 approx. | 35-45 °C |
| 2 approx. | 45-75 °C |
| 3 approx. | 75-85 °C |
Dscaling
Depending on the water quality in your area, lime deposits may build up on the heating plate. To ensure proper functioning, it is advisable to remove any such deposits at regular intervals (every four to six weeks).
- Place the lift -out holder into the warming container.
- Put a mixture of about 150~ml of water and 2 tbs of concentrated vinegar into the container. Put the plug into a suitable wall socket and set the temperature control to position 3.
- Let the appliance heat up for about 10 minutes. Remove the plug from the wall outlet and leave the solution standing for another 20 minutes to take effect.
-
Pour the descending solution away, fill the warming container with clean water to a point just below the max level mark, and then pour the water out again.
-
Do not pour descalers down enamel sinks.
General care and cleaning
Always remove the plug from the socket and allow the bottle warmer to cool down sufficiently before cleaning. Pour out any water.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
clean the bottle warmer with water and do not immerse it in water.
- Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions or hard brushes for cleaning.
- The appliance may be cleaned with a clean, slightly damp cloth. The lift-out holder can be removed for the purpose.
- When the appliance is not being used for some time, the power cord may be wound up underneath.
