Frequently Asked Questions - MS 701 GRAEF

How to prepare hot milk froth with the GRAEF MS 701?
Pour up to 200 ml of cold milk into the stainless steel pot, respecting the internal fill mark. Place the lid, put the pot on the base, and press the hot froth button. The device whisks and heats the milk simultaneously, then stops automatically at the end of the cycle.
Can you prepare cold froth with the GRAEF MS 701?
Yes, the MS 701 offers a cold froth mode. Pour up to 200 ml of well-chilled milk (straight from the refrigerator) and select the dedicated function. You get a light and creamy froth ideal for iced drinks or cold cappuccinos.
What is the maximum amount of milk that can be processed at once?
For frothing (hot or cold), the maximum capacity is 200 ml of milk, which produces about 400 ml of creamy froth. For simple heating without whisking, the pot accepts up to 350 ml of milk.
Is the stainless steel pot dishwasher safe?
Yes, the removable stainless steel pot is dishwasher safe. The electric base should never be immersed or put in the dishwasher; simply wipe it with a slightly damp cloth.
Does the device stop automatically at the end of the program?
Yes, the GRAEF MS 701 is equipped with an automatic shut-off: it stops heating and whisking as soon as the cycle is complete. The indicator light shows the end of the operation.
What type of milk gives the best froth with the MS 701?
Fresh whole milk provides the most voluminous and stable froth due to its fat content. Semi-skimmed milk also works. Plant-based milks (soy, oat) give variable results; for best results, choose a barista version.
How to clean the GRAEF MS 701 after each use?
Remove the stainless steel pot and rinse it immediately with hot water or place it in the dishwasher. The lid is cleaned the same way. Wipe the electric base with a damp cloth without ever immersing it in water.
The froth obtained is too liquid or insufficient: what to do?
Check that you have not exceeded the 200 ml mark: overfilling prevents the formation of good froth. Use well-chilled milk straight from the refrigerator. Also ensure that the internal whisk is clean and correctly positioned in the pot.
Can the MS 701 be used just to heat milk without making froth?
Yes, the device has a heating-only mode that can process up to 350 ml of milk. Simply select this program: the milk is heated without being whisked.
Can the stainless steel pot be used on a stovetop or in a microwave?
No, the stainless steel pot should never be placed on a stovetop (gas, glass-ceramic, or induction) or in a microwave. It is designed exclusively to operate on the electric base provided with the device.

How to fix the power button of the GRAEF MS 701 milk frother that is no longer working?
Frequently Asked Questions - 08/03/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The GRAEF MS 701 milk frother has two control buttons: the upper button for hot preparation (which lights up red when activated) and the lower button for cold preparation. If either of these buttons is unresponsive, here are the steps to diagnose and resolve the issue.

Step 1: Check the power supply
Start by ensuring that the device is properly plugged into a functional electrical outlet. Test the outlet with another device to confirm it is delivering power. Also, check that the power cord is not damaged and is not placed on hot surfaces or sharp edges, as this could affect power transmission.

Step 2: Clean the button
Milk or dirt residues may block the button's operation. Before any intervention, turn off the device and unplug it from the outlet. Gently clean around the affected button with a non-abrasive damp cloth, then dry thoroughly to remove any moisture. Then press the button several times to check if it has regained its normal mobility.

Step 3: Check the LED indicator
When you press a button, an LED indicator should light up as long as the device is functioning. If you do not see any LED illumination after cleaning and several attempts, this may indicate an internal electrical problem. Additionally, visually inspect the button for any cracks, damage, or wear.

In case of persistent malfunction
If none of these steps resolve the issue, the button or internal circuit is likely defective. Never attempt to disassemble the device yourself, as non-compliant repairs can pose significant dangers to the user. Contact Graef customer service directly at +49 2932 9703677 or by email at service@graef.de. Your device is covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering manufacturing defects, and only a specialized technician or Graef customer service is authorized to perform repairs.
