5. Compressed air connection
Guarantee Guarantee claims as per guarantee card attached. Important safety instructions As a result of toxic fumes generated at application of certain material there can be poisoning and serious damage of health. Always use protective glasses, gloves and a breathing mask to prevent possible poisoning with fumes, solvents and colours that can get in touch with your eyes and skin. Do not in any case use oxygen, flammable or other gases packed in bottles as an energy source, it could cause an explosion or serious accidents of persons. Volatile matters or solvents can burn. Use the appliance in well-ventilated rooms only and avoid each inflammable source (e.g. smoking, open flame and similar dangerous sources). Disconnect the appliance from the pneumatic hose before any maintenance, immediately after appliance switching off, after unexpected operation drop- out or preventively to avoid unexpected putting into operation. It is recommended to mount a ball cock to the gun near the connection of the air hose to the gun. Clean, dry and controllable compressed air set to 3.0 to
4.0 bar is only used. Exceeding a maximum pressure of
8.3 bar (120 psi) is prohibited.
Never use solvents homogenised by hydrocarbon reacting to aluminium and zinc parts and that can create chemicals. Before putting the appliance into operation, check whether all screws and covers are tightened and whether there are any untight connections. Before applying colour, make sure the starter and nozzle can freely move. The colour spray gun needs to be used for purposes designed only. Use solely spare parts (nozzles and accessories) recommended by the producer. Make sure the workplace was well ventilated at varnishing! Always wear protective clothing (protective glasses, breathing mask, ear protectors)! Do not aim the gun at other persons or yourself, failing which there can be serious injuries. Disconnect the gun in a pressureless state only, any pneumatic hoses thrown off can cause serious injuries. Follow all safety instructions included in these Operating Instructions, including icons in the "Marking" chapter, instructions in the "Assembly and first putting into operation" and "Maintenance and treatment"! Behave responsibly towards other persons! Qualification Apart from the detailed instructions by a professional, no special qualification is necessary for appliance using. Minimum age Persons over 16 years of age can only work on the appliance. An exception includes youngsters trained in order to reach knowledge under supervision of the trainer during occupational education. Training Using the appliance only requires corresponding training by a professional or the Operating Instructions. No special training is necessary.
Technical data Container capacity: 1 litre Working pressure: 3-6 bar Air consumption: 250l a min Ø of nozzle: 1.8 mm Junction thread: ¼ “ IG Weight: 1.5 kg
8Storage Always disconnect all pneumatic appliances if not used. Always store the appliance at a dry place. Assembly and first putting into operation (pic. III) After unpacking, the appliance needs to be carefully inspected for possible damage at transport. It is also necessary to unconditionally ensure that all screws, connections, etc. were tightened. Mix and dilute the colour according to producer's instructions. Most of the colours can be processed better when correspondingly diluted. Before processing, it is recommended to re-filter the colour. Fill the container to ¾. Do not exceed in any case the maximum pressure of the gun or other system components for compression! Ensure that the vacuum container was correctly closed and the air hose firmly connected to the gun. Prepare a piece of cardboard that you can use during adjustment. Never aim the gun at other persons or yourself, failing which there can be serious injuries. Connect the gun now (see pic. III) to the compressed air source. Upon compressor switching on, check the substance density, aim the gun at the cardboard and trigger the starter several times. If the material is too dense, add some solvent and proceed very carefully and do not deviate from the substance density recommended by the producer. Setting (pic. I) + (pic. II) The spraying shape, outlet volume and general appearance of the colour layer can be set as follows. A round or elliptical spraying shape can be reached by turning on the air volume controller (2). The outlet colour volume reduces on the colour volume controller (3) by turning rightwards. Turning leftwards increases the squirted liquid volume. The air volume reduces on the air pressure controller (6) by turning rightwards and increases by turning leftwards. (pic. II)
- K spray is wrong. The layer thickness does not differ much at swinging.
- L spray is correct. Always apply evenly “wet spraying to wet“
- Optimum spray can be reached at a distance of app. 15-20 cm. A too small distance and too fast or too slow motions result in wrong spray. Tip: Take a piece of cardboard and make test spraying before each work. Maintenance and treatment Disconnect the appliance from compressed air source at maintenance and treatment. Clean and treat the gun immediately after varnishing with a maximum care. A cleaned gun guarantees trouble-free handling at another use. If the nozzle is removed at cleaning, the thread and seal must be treated with light fat. That will prevent nozzle “biting in“. Attention: Do not put the entire gun to a bath with solvent. The nozzle and nozzle needle are quickly-worn parts, therefore you should always have a set of spare nozzles with you. Store the pneumatic tools/appliances in dry rooms only. Only a regularly maintained and treated appliance can serve as a satisfactory aid. Insufficient maintenance and care can lead to unforeseen accidents and injuries.
