ON/OFF / VOLUME- / VOLUME+ / AV
The functions described below are only available if they are already foreseen by your appliance.

FITTING THE BATTERIES
Fit the batteries and programme the remote control before using it. The remote control requires 2 new 1.5V AAA/LR03 alkaline batteries. Insert the batteries as shown:
- Replace the batteries if the indicator light on the remote control starts to fl ash during use. The batteries are low.
- Make a note of the codes for your appliances on the adhesive label inside the battery cover in case you have to reprogramme your remote control.
- This remote control has a permanent memory and does not lose the programmed codes or functions even when the batteries are removed.
HOW TO PROGRAMME THE REMOTE CONTROL
1. Switch ON the appliance you wish to programme and select
2. Look for the brand of the appliance you want to programme
in the code list and make a note of the corresponding code alongside (e.g. PHILIPS 0025). Notice: if the brand is not on the list, you can perform the programming procedure using the replacement code 0099.
3. Hold down the selection button for the appliance to be
programmed for 5 seconds.
4. When the button is released, it will start to fl ash. Enter the
previously identifi ed brand code (e.g. 0025). The selection button fl ashes more quickly, indicating that the remote control is ready for the search.
5. Point the remote control at the appliance. Press and slowly
release the ON/OFF button several times, stopping when the appliance goes off.
6. When the appliance goes off, press the OK button to confi rm.
Three fl ashes indicate that the search operation has been completed correctly. ADDITIONAL CHECK Check that some of the other buttons, corresponding to those on your original remote control, work correctly. If the commands function incorrectly or erratically, you have probably entered a code for a similar remote control but not the right one. In this case, repeat the search procedure starting from point 3, entering the previously used code (e.g. 0025). To display and make a note of the code memorized by means of the search, follow the instructions described in the CURRENT CODE DISPLAY paragraph. The quickest and easiest way to programme the remote control is by consulting the website www.cme.it.
Warning: programme one appliance at a time!
WARNING: do not expose the remote control to sources of excessive heat

GLOBAL SEARCH REMOTE CONTROL PROGRAMMING
This operation can take up to 20 minutes and should be carried out if you were not successful in programming the remote control by means of the method described above. The quickest and easiest way to programme the remote control is by consulting the website www.cme.it.

CURRENT CODE DISPLAY
1. Press the selection button for which you want to know the
code and hold down for 5 seconds.
2. When the button is released it will start to fl ash; press and
release the 1-/-- button within 8 seconds.
3. After a pause of a few seconds, the indicator light
produces four series of fl ashes with a space between them, corresponding to the code you are looking for. Count the number of fl ashes; each series of fl ashes corresponds to one fi gure in the code. 10 fl ashes correspond to 0.
4. Write this code on the adhesive label on the inside of the
battery cover for quick and easy future reprogramming. To fi nd out the code of your remote control, follow this procedure: 5 SEC. Code obtained = 1306 NOTE: this operation cannot be interrupted and the remote control therefore cannot be used until the end of the four series of fl ashes.
If, by consulting the on-line guide, you have found the exact code of the appliance with which to programme the remote control, enter it as follows:
1. Press and hold for 5 seconds the selection button for the
appliance for which you want to enter the code.
2. When the button is released it will start to fl ash; enter the
code (e.g. TV 1306). Three fl ashes indicate that the operation has been completed correctly. HOW TO USE THE ADDITIONAL COMMANDS WHICH DO NOT APPEAR ON THE KEYPAD Although not indicated on the keypad, some buttons can be used for additional commands. Search for them on your remote control by pressing the buttons one after the other to fi nd any other commands that might be of interest to you. In particular, the additional functions most frequently used, such as NORMALIZATION, COLOUR and BRIGHTNESS, can be found on the following buttons Normalization: For the functions used less frequently, look for the additional commands on the site www.cme.it. Consult the on-line guide not only to easily fi nd the code needed to programme your remote control, but also to help you fi nd which buttons on the remote control correspond to the additional commands. The following TV functions are available on the 4 central buttons of the remote control: ON/OFF, VOL-, VOL+ and AV. These functions can be used to control appliances other than the TV. This makes controlling the digital terrestrial decoder combined with a TV easier since you no longer need to change the remote control in order to use the audio functions. WARNINGS: in rare cases, instead of pressing the TV ON/OFF button to turn ON the TV, you may need to select the TV button in the upper left and then press any one of the number buttons. or or 5 SEC. or or10 PROBLEM SOLVING PROBLEM The appliance does not respond and the TV - SAT - TER selection buttons do not light up when a button is pressed. The appliance does not respond but the selection buttons light up. The selection buttons fl ash. The remote control is not carrying out all the commands properly. The code for your appliance brand is not in the list of codes at the end of this booklet. SOLUTION Try some of the other frequently-used buttons. If the problem persists, check that the batteries are fi tted correctly. If necessary, replace them with 2 new 1.5 V AAA/LR03 batteries. Check that the batteries are new and that the remote control is pointing at the appliance without any obstacles in the way. If necessary, reset the remote control code, repeating the programming procedure. The batteries are low. Change them. Perhaps you are using an incorrect code. Reset the remote control by repeating the programming procedure. Perform the programming procedure using the brand replacement code 0099.
