How to insert or change the batteries of the MTX Connect?
Open the battery compartment at the back of the device. Insert 4 AA LR6 alkaline batteries observing polarity. Close the cover. When the low battery symbol appears, replace all batteries with new ones. After replacement, set the date and time.
How to set the date and time?
Press and hold the TIMER button until the year flashes. Use the MEMO button to adjust the year, then press TIMER to move to month, day, hour, minute. Confirm each setting with TIMER. To exit, press START.
How to connect the blood pressure monitor to my smartphone via Bluetooth?
Turn on Bluetooth on the blood pressure monitor (switch to ON position) and hold the START button for 5 seconds to activate pairing mode. Turn on your smartphone's Bluetooth, search for MTX-BT in the list and enter the code 0000. Download the VitaDock app to finalize the connection.
What does the arrhythmia symbol on the screen mean?
The arrhythmia symbol (⚡) appears when the device detects an irregular pulse during measurement. This may be due to movement or actual arrhythmia. If the symbol appears frequently, consult your doctor.
How to take a simple blood pressure reading?
Place the cuff around the bare arm, above the elbow. Sit down, place your arm on a table. Press the START button. The device automatically inflates then deflates. Results (systolic, diastolic, pulse) are displayed. Remain still and do not talk during measurement.
How to delete all measurements from a user memory?
Select the user memory (1 or 2) with the TIMER button. Press and hold the MEMO button for about 7 seconds until L CLEAR appears. Press MEMO again to confirm. The data is then deleted.
What to do in case of 'Err 1' error?
The Err 1 error indicates that the measurement stopped after obtaining systolic pressure, often due to a tube connection interruption or undetected pulse. Check the cuff connection and repeat the measurement.
How to clean and maintain the blood pressure monitor?
Remove the batteries before cleaning. Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with a neutral soap solution. Do not let water enter the device. Dry it before reuse. Never clean with aggressive products or hard brushes.
What is the warranty on the MTX Connect?
The warranty is 3 years from the date of purchase against material and manufacturing defects. It requires proof of purchase. Excluded are: damage due to improper use, unauthorized modifications, accessories (cuff, batteries).
How to change the arm or cuff for a thinner or thicker arm?
The standard cuff fits arm circumferences of 22 to 42 cm. For thinner arms (17-22 cm), you can order an optional small cuff (ref. 51089). To remove the cuff, detach the tube from the connector and replace it.
