JURY! Do not load the scales beyond 180 kg. The safety glass could break and cause cut inju- ries.

INJURY! Do not step on to the scales with wet feet and do not use the scales if the platform is moist. Otherwise you could slip. Protect your scales from impact, moisture, dust, chemicals and sudden changes in temperature and keep them away from sources of heat (ovens, heating radiators). Check the device for damage before bringing it into use. If the device is damaged do not use it. Remove the battery if the device breaks down or is defective. Otherwise there is an increased risk of leaking. Never open the housing of the device. This could result in per- sonal injury or damage to the device. Always have any repairs carried out at the service centre or by an electrical equipment repair specialist. The product is not suitable for use by pregnant women.8 GB/IE Warning! Exhausted or damaged batteries can cause caustic burns upon contact with the skin. To avoid this, always wear suitable protective gloves in these circumstances! Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes if fluid has leaked from the battery. In the event of contact with battery acid, thoroughly flush the affected area with clean water and seek immediate medical attention. Remove light dirt from the bat- tery and product contacts with a dry, lint-free cloth before insert- ing the batteries. Remove the battery from the device if it is not going to be used for a prolonged period. When inserting the battery, en- sure the correct polarity! This is shown in the battery compart- ment. Remove a spent battery immedi- ately from the device. There is an increased risk of leaks! Batteries must not be disposed of in the normal domestic waste! Every consumer is legally obliged to dispose of batteries in the proper manner! Keep batteries away from chil- dren. Do not throw batteries into a fire. Never short-circuit them or take them apart. If the above instructions are not complied with, the battery may discharge itself beyond its end voltage. This will then pose a risk of leaking.
