Congratulations on the purchase of this high quality product. In order to cook rice or steam vegetables on a rice cooker, one must follow different principles than those of conventional rice cooking. The rice or vegetables are specially prepared to get an intense flavor. The steaming function preserves the vitamins in fishes and vegetables, preserving their natural flavor and nutritional value and preventing the generation of harmful compounds. 1. Important safety instructions
INTENDED USE

It is exclusively designed for the private household and it is not intended for commercial purposes.
The manufacturer does not accept any liability in the case of improper use caused by failure to observe this instruction manual.
In order to avoid hazards, only customer service is authorized to carry out repairs at the item
The important precautions described within this section must be followed carefully to prevent the possibility of fire, electrical shock, personal injuries and/or
property damage:

- Read all instructions.
- Do not touch HOT surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against fire, electrical shock, and personal injury, do not immerse cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is used by or near children.
- Unplug unit from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before attaching or removing parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to an authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
- To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not force any foreign objects, such as pins and wires, into any openings.

Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn the switch to its „OFF“ position then remove the plug from wall outlet.

Do not use appliance for other than intended use. This product is designed for household use only.
- Use only the appropriate Volt AC electrical current.
- Always keep the power supply plug clean.
- Plug the appliance into a single electrical outlet only.
- Make sure that the power supply plug is firmly inserted all the way into the electrical outlet.
- Do not attempt to plug in or unplug with wet hands.
- Do not touch the steam vent.
- Do not handle the power supply cord in a rough manner
- Grasp only the plug when unplugging the power supply cord.
- Do not shake the appliance by the handle.
- Do not touch the metal part on the inside of the lid or inner lid during or immediately after operation.
- Do no operate the appliance near flames or wet areas.
- Do not operate the appliance on an unstable surface or on any surface that is not resistant to head.
- Do not touch the Lid Release button while carrying the appliance.
- Do not use any Inner Pot other than provided.
- Do not place the appliance near walls or furniture (within 12^ / 30cm ).
- Do not place the appliance in the locations where hot cooking oil may splash onto the appliance or where the appliance is exposed to direct sunlight.
- Do not place a cloth or towels over the appliance during operation.
- Remove all foreign substances before using appliances.
2. Special Cord Set Instructions
A A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risks of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
B Extension cords are available and may be uses if care is exercised in their use.
C If extension cord is used:
(1) The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
(2) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
Do not damage the power cord.
Do not process, forcibly bend, pull by force, twist or bind the power cord.
Do not place heavy objects on the power cord, or apply too much force to it.
Do not damage the power cord while moving the unit.
(Otherwise, fire or electric shock may be caused.)
Do not plug/unplug the power cord with wet hands.
(Otherwise, electric shock may be caused.)
Do not connect the unit from extension cord or multiple wiring with other electronic appliances.
(Otherwise, electric shock, fire or heat may be caused.)
Do not use other than the rated voltage (220V).
Do not operate or stop the unit by using thepower plug.
(Otherwise, electric shock or fire may be caused.)
Make sure there is no dust on the power plug and insert it into the outlet completely. Any dust around the power plug should be wiped off with a dry cloth periodically.
(Accumulated dust may result in poor insulation from humidity, etc., thereby causing fire or electric shock.)

3. Before first use
Remove the unit from packaging.
HAZARD FOR CHILDREN - risk of death due to choking / swallowing of packaging.
Keep packaging away from children.
Dispose of it immediately.
Disconnect the power plug from the socket.
Clean the container with hot water and a bit of detergent prior to first use. Wipe the pot dry with a cloth.
Do not immerse electrical components under water!
Wipe the lid only with a damp cloth and then let it dry.
PRECAUTION FOR THE COOKER

Do not put fingers or foreign objects (pin, needle, stick, etc.) into the gap of the unit. (Injury, electric shock and malfunction may occur.)
Do not put rices or foreign objects into the gap of the key lock and the temperature sensor. (Malfunction and fire may occur.)
Do not make modifications. Disassembly, repairing, modifications shall not be made by a person other than the service engineer.
(Otherwise, fire, electric shock or injury may be caused.)
Do not place spray cans close to the main unit.
Do not use flammable hazardous materials (gasoline, thinner, etc.) near the main unit.
(Otherwise, ignition of fire, explosion may occur.)
Do not substitute the inner pot with other container.
(Otherwise, higher temperature and burning injuries may occur.)
Do not place the unit near heating appliances.
(Otherwise, plastic parts will melt and fire ignition may occur.)
In case of an exception (e.g., burnt smell)
Be sure to immediately shut down the product, remove its power plug and contact customer service center for repair.
(Otherwise, electric shock or fire may be caused.)
For repairs, please consult the nearest customer service center
Be sure to allow the unit cool off and remove its power plug.
(Otherwise, electric shock or injury may be caused.)
Power Plug, Power Cord
Always hold the power plug, when unplugging the unit.
(Otherwise, fire, electric shock, short circuit may be caused.)
If you are planning not to use the unit for a long time, unplug the power plug fromoutlet for safety.

During Usage
Do not knock down or drop the main unit.
Do not store or move with the main unit down on its side
(Otherwise, equipment damage or malfunction such as water/electric leakage may be caused.)
Do not use the unit in a tight enclosed space such as closet or in between furniture.
Do not cover the unit with cloth during use.
(Otherwise, malfunction, deformation and color changed may occur.)
Do not wash the product directly with water.
For indoor use only. Do not use the unit under direct sunlight or in any location exposed to rain and wind.
Do not use the product in a place where it can easily get wet or in the bathroom.
Do not leave the unit where oil or flammable gas may leak.

Do not sit on or lean on to the product.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (include children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Operate the unit only on level, stable surfaces.
- Be sure to clean the product, floor and surroundings when using the production area in the same place for a long period of time.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
If there is a noise in TV/radio or radio clock does not display the correct time, move the product away as far as possible.
(Otherwise, radio disturbance may be caused.)
Always have plenty of room around the main unit.
(Poor ventilation may cause over-heating, fire, malfunction.)

4. Name and function of the Parts
Please wash inner pot, inner lid, steam cap and accessories when use for the first time.
The operation is very simple.
Familiarize yourself below with the device and the control panel.

PARTS IDENTIFICATION

INNER LID

1 Inner lid disassemble
① Raise it after pressing
② Pull the lid towards you.

① Please insert the convex part of inner lid (upper side) into the locker on the outer lid and push it.
② Please make sure to insert the convex part of inner lid (lower side) into the lid.
STEAM CAP
Disassemble the steam cap from the body by pulling upwards

1 Lift up the steam cap
Insert the steam cap in the hole for assembly
2 Disassemble
Turn counter-clockwise and pull.

3 Close
Match the steam cap position and turn it in the direction of the arrow until you hear a clicking sound

Safety precautions for the Multifunction Cooker


The cooker works only, if the inner pod is correctly placed in the main unit.
Hold the bottom of the inner pot and the heating surface clean and dry.
If the cokker does not work, check if the inner pot is correctly inserted.
It is recommended to use the Keep Warm - program for not more than 12 hours because the rice can dry out or could deteriorate.
Make sure that the inner pot is clean before use.
The reaction of fresh ingredients with food scraps can lead to inedible food.
THE LITHIUM BATTERY
This Multifunction Cooker is provided with a lithium battery so that the internal clock and any preset timer setting will not be affected when the main power supply is switched off. Life span of this battery is about three years. Replacement will be needed when the LCD display does not display or is difficult to read.
The life span of the battery depends on the user habit and working environment.

5. Time setting
This clock displays time in 24hours format;
12 o'clock midnight is set at 0:00, 12 o'clock noon is set at 12:00.
For example: please set up the time 1:10pm (that it displays 13:10)

CAUTIONS TO USER
The time is unable to adjust if the power cord is not connected
In the process of cooking, keep warm & presetting, time display is unable to adjust
- When the time display is blinking, time is not running. Please press OFF-button to finish time setting.
6. Preparation
Follow the instructions to prepare the food. Always make sure that the food to be cooked, is always fresh and of high quality. Always make sure that e.g. meat, fish, seafood and poultry have been stored before use below 5^ .
Always prepare foods on clean work surfaces.
Wash your hands thoroughly before cooking.
Prepare the food in the correct size (thickness) and temperature.
Use the measuring cup provided.
Rinse the rice.
Firstly, wash the rice thoroughly with plenty of water, dispose the water immediately afterwards.
Then repeat step before to clean out the bran until the water is clear.

Choose the level of water, based on the selected menu setting.
Adjust water level on flat surface.
Adjust the amount of water according to the softness you preferred based on the type of rice.


For example, cooking 3 cups of rice, put the cleaned rice into inner pot and then water to '3' level

Put the inner pod into the main unit and close the outer lid.
Please wipe off the water on the outside of the inner pot and make sure no foreign objects are in the heating element area.
Please make sure the inner lid and steamcap are properly assembled. The outer lid could not be closed when the inner lid is assembled.


Insert the power plug.
Please insert the connector to the unit and the plug to the wall socket.


Confirm whether the time displayed same as the actual.
7. How to cook rice

Press the RICE button to choose COOKING mode.
Choose the COOKING mode.
By pressing RICE button each time,the moves and the mode changes.


Press the SIA button, cooking begins.
START/REHEAT -lamp is on.
The rice cooker will switch automatically to KEEP WARM mode after five times beeping.
KEEP WARM - lamp is on.
Do not keep warm more than 12 hours (otherwise it will be bad odor and turn brown)
After used, press button and then unplug.
If forgot to press the button, it will be KEEP WARM mode while in the next plugging.
Customer Instructions
- When using some special rice such as stocked rice, glutinous rice or add other food and condiment into it, please make sure to choose Slow Cook mode.
- If harder or softer rice is needed, please adjust the water level by adding or reducing 10ml of water for every cup of rice. But less water may cause half-cooked rice while too much water may cause overflow.

8. How to Reheat (The method of reheating the rice in KEEP WARM mode.)

Stir and loosen the rice in KEEP WARM mode and then close the lid.
It is necessary to stir due to more rice crust produced after reheating.

START/REHEAT lamp is off.
The KEEP WARM lamp will be blinking in the process of reheating.
After reheating, the KEEP WARM lamp will stop blinking.

- Cancel reheating function in the midway
Press the KEEP WARM - button to recover standby condition. OFF
Customer Instructions
Do not reheat more than two times, otherwise it will cause bad odor and the rice turns brownish.
^ Add some water before reheating to reduce drying. The amount of water added depends on the amount and condition of rice

The setting time of Half Boiled Egg is 25 minutes. Time is non-adjustable.

Customer Instructions
- If thinner or softer porridge are needed, reducing the amount of rice or adding more water.
However, please do not add water more than the highest water level scale line. - Please choose congee mode while cooking congee. Otherwise it will cause overflow, splash or scald.
- Please use the attached Steaming Basket when steaming food. Add water to the "rice" water level scale line above 2 in the inner pot.
- The inner pot is very hot after cooking. Be careful when holding it. Pour out the water and clean it after the inner pot become cool.
10. How to Preset
Set time for cooking.
It can memorize two preset time so that the lunch and supper can cook separately.
The mode marked, X^ cannot be preset. (Otherwise, it will cause rice spoiled and inner pot corroded)
It is not suggested to preset more than 8 hours.
Preset for too long time will cause undesire odor.
It will start to cook while the preset time is in 1 2 hours.

The rice cooker can memorize two preset time as below

Preset 2 for supper 19:30

If you want to see the present time, press the - button to show the present time, while release the button to redisplay the preset time.

Put the Inner Pot into the main body, and close the lid.
OPERATION
o Preset Rice cooking: Press RICE - button to choose Cook Mode.
o Preset Congee cooking: Press the button to choose Congee Mode.
Please make sure to choose, CONGEE' function when cooking congee. (Otherwise it may result to some bubbles spilling from the steam cap and water overflow)

11. Cleaning
BEFORE start to clean your cooker:


- Make sure that the unit is OFF.
- WAIT until the unit has room temperature.
To clean the stove you should not use scouring milk, no nylon brush, benzene or similar use. Please install the lid after cleaning.
- The inner pot, inner lid and rice spoon can be cleaned with mild soap and water, rinsed with clear water and then dry with a clean, dry cloth.
- Clean the external surfaces of the rice cooker after each use with a clean, damp cloth.
- Use a damp cloth to remove rice or other residues from the sensor and the magnet coil plate.

CAUTION:

- Wash the inner pot and inner lid not too roughly.
- When the lid has become cool, take down and open the steam vent to clean it.
Inner pot:
Replace the inner pot if distorted or dented at the appointed service centre.
To protect the non-stick coated surface of the inner pot:
Use the supplied rice scoop.
Do not use the pot to wash kitchen utensils.
Do not use vinegar.
Inner pot always uses water and steam that might leave stains.
However, it is not harmful to your health.

Should there be any problem occurred below, please contact KeMar authorized service centre:
- Display the following either „F1" or „F2"
- If any accident during operation, such as water or rice directly into the main unit without the inner pot
- Although the cooking is not finished yet, the operation light turns off suddenly and the inner pot is not hot
- The surface of the inner pot become uneven (replace the inner pot if necessary)
- It does not operate as usual.
The Lithium battery
- Even the plug is unplugged, the internal clock and any preset time can continue to operate.
- If the battery is used up, the clock will display unclearly and the preset time was unable to memorize.
- After inserting the plug and adjusting the correct time, normally the rice cooker can be used and do not affect any operation.
- If you intend to change the battery, please contact a KeMar authorized service centers.
After battery has been changed, remember to adjust the time again.
POWER FAILURE
(Unplug during operation or the power supply failure)
Under power outage in a short time condition, it is advisable to return back to the actual procedure before the power was cut off (within 5 hours).
Under power outage in a long time condition, please proceed below procedure when the power supply is back to usual.

Seller's Guarantee - Terms of Guarantee
Dear customer,
Our products are subject to strict quality control.
If, however, a product purchased from us does not function properly, we deeply regret this and ask you to contact Customer Service given below. We will be happy to help you by phone via the service hotline mentioned above.
In addition to the legal warranty, we grant a guarantee on all multifunctional cookers / rice cookers purchased from us, according to the provisions mentioned below.
This represents no limitation of your legal rights.
1) The guarantee period is one year from date of purchase.
The guarantee is valid within the European Union and Switzerland.
2) During the guarantee period, devices showing defects due to material or manufacturing defaults will be repaired or replaced at our choice.
Exchanged devices or parts of devices shall become our property.
Neither shall guarantee services prolong the guarantee period nor put a new guarantee into effect.
3) Guarantee claims have to be asserted immediately after becoming aware of the defect, within the guarantee period.
4) In order to assert claims under the guarantee, the following steps are necessary: Please contact Customer Service by email, fax or phone, so that we can email you a franked shipping label in a pdf file. Use this shipping label to send the faulty device, free of postage, to the given service address, enclosing the guarantee card below as well as your original proof of purchase. If the defect is covered by our guarantee services, you will receive back a repaired or a new device.
The return shipment costs will be paid by us.
5) Claims under the guarantee are excluded in cases of damage due to:
- Abusive or incorrect use
- Environmental exposure (humidity, heat, overvoltage, dust, etc.)
- Failure to follow the safety precautions applicable to the device
- Failure to follow the instruction manual
- Use of force (e.g. strike, kick, drop)
- Interference by a service address not authorized by us
- Arbitrary attempts at repair
- Shipment in packaging which is not transport-proof
6) We also offer you to repair defects or damages to the device, which are not (or no longer) covered by the guarantee, against reimbursement of costs.
